Have you ever loved a subject but found it painstakingly hard to study because your textbook felt like what you assume would be a remnant from 5 centuries ago, written in hieroglyphs and just so dry and boring?

This textbook is not one of those.

It's a very interesting topic this book deals with indeed, and the authors keep the information and the flow of the text easy to follow (or as easy as it is possible with a Finance textbook), always building on and leading up to more harder theories, formulas etc.
There are loads of examples and practical tasks that help your understanding (and calculation) of the important terms etc., which is great as this helps you understand and apply theory better, when you have to think and use what you've read in practice.
Also a huge plus in my book - if you're lazy (which, let's face it, it happens) there are summaries after each chapter that summarizes the key points of each chapter, it's very neat. And unlike some textbooks where the summaries are very vague, that's not the case here. So if you feel like just reading the summary of a chapter, here you have the opportunity to do so - without feeling like the authors are punishing you for not reading the god damn chapter you were supposed to read.

If you are the next Mr. Prof. Dr. Money Jeff Bezos stop reading. If you are a student you may continue.

4/5 WHAT AN EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER
I have mixed feelings about this book. Sadness, happiness, hope, fear, excitement, disappointment...

Sometimes the plot was progressing slowly. I had to reread several pages because I was drifting off. I must admit, I skipped a few chapters because they were boring.
Sometimes I thought "Oh I get it. Okay. That's were we're going. Makes sense. Nice". Plot twist: A few pages later I was absolutely lost again.
Sometimes I had to put the book aside because my vision was too blurry thanks to the tears streaming down my face but I love crying while reading. (i guess that's a +)
I was hoping for an enemies to lovers story but we are still enemies. (definitely a -)

I, as a very nice person, am willing to give the book 5 stars if my exam receives a better grade than 2.5. If I do not pass however, I will downgrade it immediately to 1 star without hesitating. This is not a threat. It would simply imply that the book didn't teach me anything.

Excuse my English, thanks for reading. Goodbye

I just did my exam on finance based on this book. Hope that I got some good grades xD

It was a great book, with detailed examples and it was easy to understand the different concepts about investments and risk. But a downside with this book was that there wasn't any answer sheet to the problems.

Hard but useful. Arthurs update their logics and methodologies. Real data real financials and real companies are materials here that is good.
