Two steps forward, one step back. A slow start that ramps up to massive violence. Finally actually met most of the Unbound.

And Felix ate something that may disagree with him. Again.

Just wow

This while series has been awesome but it
doesn't fail to keep getting better and keep me on my toes as a reader. If you haven't read the others start there. This is a page turner.

Absolutely fantastic. Keep it going. I’m hoping you can squeeze at least another 4 books out of this series. Thanks for the fun filled read.

There are a lot of twists in this series entry as well as the cliffhanger ending. It is a rough way to leave these characters when the next book will not be released for many months!

I recommend the series

This review is primarily for somebody who's not started the series yet. I got to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of hearing from other fans that if you just grin and bear the roughness of the first three seasons or the first five books it gets better. In this case it's really just the first book that I had a problem with and well it's been quite some time there certainly was something in that first book that made me willing to give it a second shot with the sequel. I am happy that I did because I have thoroughly enjoyed this series from that point on. Our main character along with a handful of other Earthlings or ripped from their home and thrown into an extremely dangerous world. A zealot worshiping a cowardly God has plotted to pull these would be Warriors to her world for the purpose of protecting her Chosen Few from a ruin that she has also summoned. An apparent Ancient Order of sorceresses have sacrifice to stop her with only partial success. These earthlings destined to be Warriors against the Apocalypse or scattered across the globe. It then becomes a race to see who can get to him first. Along the way we discover that our main character sister was also brought by force to this world, but unlike him fell into the hands of evil. We've been waiting to see whether or not he can rescue her and while it looked like we might have had a conclusion coming shortly it now appears that it may not happen until the end of the series. As I was moving through this entry it looked to me like there might only be 12 books total in the series but by the ending I can safely say I have no idea. There's also a Twist at the ending of this book that I suspect most will find appealing if someone annoying. The next book has a June release I believe. I can't wait for the sequel. With that a round of applause for everybody who had a hand in bringing the story to us the Amazon readers and audiobook listeners.

I still like the series. This book has the same issues as it did in the earlier books. The MC is insanely OP and yet he comes up against odds that are impossible. As soon as it gets to the point where he might actually win, the odds get even worse and he has to do some crazy shit to just survive. I have followed Felix's journey through 10 books. So I know exactly what he had to deal with to get to this level. He just reached master tier. He goes off looking for other unbounds in this one and when he finds them, most of them are also master tier with one of them maybe being grandmaster tier. How is that even possible. Felix had to defeat a primordial and kill a god, how could they end up as a higher level than him? Overall, I still enjoy the series. I know what I was getting into when I started reading so even though the negatives I mentioned are a little annoying, it doesn't take away from my enjoyment that much.

I cannot overstate how excellent this is

Nicoli Gonnella is a maestro of language. Pacing. Characterization.
I appreciate that it isn't overburdened with stats.
I was a little sad the party had to split, in this novel, and wished there was more Evie.... But I wished there was more everyone! Archie continues to grow in his reluctant good guy role. Harn as the gruff but loveable Uncle figure, who was secretly scared to face his girlfriend after losing his legs. Beef... Ah Beef, sweet and somehow still innocent and hopeful in all this. I even want more of the new characters, out 2 kobolds who pose as dragon kin to kickstart a local rebellion to save the town, a sylphaen princess ready to give up her position to save her people. A Theron seer mage puppeted by a conniving goddess. Gabby, Boogeyman extrordinaire, in possession of her own Mind again.
The end leaves us in dire straights, but all is not lost. And we have a plan!
Anyway, this review got away from me a bit.
Join us in the next book where Florida man hunts an alligator in the sewer!

This is book 10 in a fantasy LitRPG series with system and portal/isekai elements. This book has some good pacing where Felix and friends divide up into three groups for specific missions. As Felix and friends find more Unbound some older characters seem to get pushed to the background. There is yet another big action sequence for Felix at the end along with some cheesy actions by the antagonists. It does feel like the author is trying to wrap things up somewhat. I would not be surprised if book 12 concludes the series.

Unfortunately as of this writing book 11 is not available yet so I have to stop here for now. I'm going to post an update to my review for book 1 with my feelings for the series overall thus far.

How can I wait for the next book?!

ARRRGH! Nicoli, you are so cruel to end things here! The Hierophant thinks that she’s in control still, and yet, it’s so very clear that she’s losing everything that she’s been working for with each decision she makes. Summoning the Ruin was delusional, but ‘creating’ Imara just ensured that when it comes, Felix is going to feed her to it in the most painful way possible.

The gods have to be running scared now. Surely Felix’s tempering has to be resonating throughout any realm that they’re hiding in, and I doubt that they’re ignorant of its import.

Ten books in, and this series is still going strong

Things are coming to a head now for Felix, but several Unbound are still unaccounted for, and their safety is precarious at best. After all, facing Divinity is not a fight most can win.

Felix, along with his growing list of allies, rushes to find and rescue the remaining Unbound. Facing foes from all sides, and skirting the attention of the Gods, this book builds on previous installments while staying true to the original vision.

If you enjoy fantasy, and haven't read this series yet, you should definitely give it a go.

Empire

The Pathless is dead. His death rocks the continent and power structures in place. The gods accelerate their plans and make to get the Unbound for their own. Felix has a plan on how to rescue them and gather them against the gods and the Ruin itself.

Another solid entry into the Unbound series! This story took some ambitious jumps in the story and I feel that they paid off. There were several times where a side character carried the story and I was upset when the story shifted away from them. Travis Baldree does fantastic as the narrator.

This one gave me chills

If you’re 10 books into the series then by now you know the score for what’s going on! Felix and co are going after the other unbound, but of course it can’t be easy. There’s some serious action along the way, and there are a couple of moments where Felix is doing the usual wild shenanigans that just gave me chills from the system notifications in the same way that reading the Radiant Oath did for me in Way of Kings.

I had hoped we were close to an ending...

I have absolutely loved the entire series and have all on Kindle and audible. With that said, this book is more of a divide and conquer, and there were a couple places where the wrong persons name was stated. This caused me a little confusion as the three operating parties should remain in their own chapters, but no, mid-chapter there are switches to different parties.

Again, story wise, the author is outstanding.

Ok, if you haven't read books 1-9, I would do that before reading this book. I'm not your dad, so do your thing.

This is a great addition to the series. We just left off with some epic adventures, and we this story jumps back in head fitst. We get to see the growth of Felix and all of his friends.

Like always, the book is packed with twists and plots, situations that seem hopeless and awesome fights that push everyone to new heights.

It's an epic adventure that you should absolutely read.

terrible ending

Great story as always. Pacing is well done and keeps the reader on edge for most of the book. Perhaps too much. Editing is pretty good, few errors that I saw.

This is a grand tale of terrible and selfish gods. It is well told and the MC’s progression is gratifying and timely. A book however is a meal not a lite snack. This ending is an episode from some eighties tv series, tune in next week…. The reader is left wholly unsatisfied.

Exceptional!

This has been a long road, but Nicoli Gonnella comes through yet again!

Simply incredible. Although books 6/7/8 hit a slower pace, 9 and now 10 thoroughly reach the level of awesome felt at the beginning of this series.

The detail and scale of this series continues to astound me. And just as good the second time through!

Very enjoyable read

Really enjoyed this instalment to the unbound series. Can't believe the next one is the end of this series. But also glad to see that the quality of the books isn't dripping of our I've seen in other books when it's costing in on the end. Hope the wait isn't too long for the next book as the cliff hanger is a killer

Still a great read 10 books in!

Great read, though i feel like not a lot happened.
More dragons found, more unbound found.
A few visions, and a lot of fighting. But it felt more like a john wick movie? A little plot a lot of fighting, and little pay off for the effort involved, and who knows how long till book 11?

Every book in this series is just such a fun treat. It’s got to be commended for having very few unnecessary plot points in a genre filled with meandering nonsense. I’ve definitely lost the thread of what makes sense when it comes to power scaling, but just a joy to read. Seems like the serious is drawing to an end and I really hope they stick the landing!

I should have waited

I enjoyed this installment. I really missed Atar and Felix together. “Just one day without dying. Is that to much to ask”haha. Beef and Archy are a great duo. The ending is cliffhanger Mt Everest. I may wait to read future books until the end. These books are long so I respect the time between releases.

I love this authors writing style! He always make sure the characters grow and develop in some way, shape, or form while continuing to improve and explain the magic system! The world building is amazing. I can’t wait to see what he does next.

This was another good book in the series. The plot moved fast and was well done. The characters developed more and the reader saw more of the other Unbound. Looking forward to the next book.

So very good, what an addition!

This book was amazing in every single way. So much was accomplished, witnessed, and brought together. While also keeping me wondering and asking questions of the possibilities. I can't heap enough praise upon this series and novel.

Fantastic continuation of the series. I thought the last two books, in particular, really hit the mark for me. Despite how powerful Felix is becoming, I love how all the other characters continue to have agency and relevance. Can't wait for the next one.

HELL YEAH

This is by far the best book in the series. Fantastic writing and pacing with masterful switching between character views. So many things happening at once and it all comes together so beautifully to an absolutely diabolical ending.
