Russell J. Atwater, bestselling author of “The Cowan Family Saga”, delivers another exciting Western Adventure of good vs evil.
Wyoming, 1877
Down on his luck but with a deep desire to better his wasted life, Charlie O’Connell is a man looking for a fresh start.
With his fists, wits, and guns, he quickly makes a favorable impression on the good citizens of Lander and the lovely Emily Parker.
Trouble is brewing with a steady influx of outlaws who think Lander is a safe-haven with little to no law enforcement.
Elonzo Bone and his brutal gang are wanted in several states for murder and robbery. Word is out they’re headed for Lander.
Sheriff Clem Mathews desperately needs help and soon hires Charlie as his deputy.
With Emily Parker by his side and justice hanging in the balance, Charlie stands ready to face down Elonzo Bone and his gang in a battle that will shake Lander to its very core.
The peace and future of Lander is at stake.
Bullets fly and blood spills in this classic western adventure. Will justice prevail? The answer lies in the smoke and thunder of the final showdown, where the echoes of the past collide with the promise of a better tomorrow.
Russell J. Atwater grew up in the mid-west enjoying a steady diet of Gunsmoke, Bonanza and The Rifleman. A lover of western genre fiction, his passion is to write stories that celebrate life in the old west with the old-fashioned values of honesty, loyalty and righteousness.
I don't know if Me. Arwater intended it, but I think he just wrote the sequel to "Blazing Saddles"! He hooked so many western cliches together, with just enough serious time to catch your breath, I laughed my a.., backside, off.
This well written cowboy tale was truly a reminder of the Saturday cowboy thrillers movies I would see at the local theater. It was a delight to read a story filled with characters good white hat heroes and just plain old fashion bad guys that wore black hats. And have the ending come out as it should, the good guys win and get the girl.
This has been a truly exceptional western romance Novel that I highly recommend to your Western Readers that are looking for one of the very best that I have read. Great Characters with lots of action and suspense. The ending was perfect for this Couple and the Storyline.
This turned out to be a fantastic story. It had a lot of action and the beginnings of a real love story. I really think this has the makings of a series.
I recommend this story to all, young and older. Keep reading America!!
Amateurish, predictable, glaring proofreading errors, hackneyed, felt like a TV plot. Wish authors who write from a Christian perspective were better writers. Yet I did read it through.
