Reckless Mind
Kahlen grew up seeing the delusional, dark, and unspeakable acts people did all in the name of love. It caused her to remove her emotions from life years ago because it was the only way for her to survive. Love didn't exist, didn't have a place, not in her life. Running, she went away to college. This was a ok book. Felt bad for the past tragedy, but didn't like the whole Brandon and Cole scene. The ending, brandon's thoughts and feelings were rushed after all that and she easily excepted that. How long was her relationship with cole minus the month apart? Was too quick for me especially with her being a damaged soul. I don't know I liked it, but seeing there is so many books out there with this same broken girl/boy concept I felt the author could of gave us more emotion.

Underneath the ridiculousness, there is probably a good story
Although it never seemed perfect, this book started out OK. I could tell that the author needed to focus more on building believable relationships and pacing, but I found the characters engaging and wanted to know more about the story. Unfortunately, things got crazy at a pretty precipitous clip after this book reached the halfway point. New characters are introduced and brought into an existing dynamic. Why? Hospital, police, and legal scenes were included, even though the author clearly didn't fully understand medical, law-enforcement, or legal procedures. It was a huge detriment to what had been a pretty standard new adult book before it got bogged down in unnecessary details that only detracted from the story. If the second half of the book had been similar to the first half, the only suggestion I would make for the book is that Ms. Wiginton find an editor. After the hot mess that was the second half, I would suggest that the whole book undergo intensive copy and story editing, and that she speak to some medical professionals, police officers, and lawyers to learn more about how they might be expected to interact with people in their spheres.

In this Awesome Story we have Kahlen. An 18 year old girl who leaves Vegas and moves to South Carolina to attend college to escape her horrible life. There she meets a Great Group of friends. Cole, Brandon, Emma, Jax, and Becca....
This story literally had my attention from the 1st page. I read it in one sitting. I loved it! All the secondary characters were great also!! I hope we get a story on those characters as well.

This book is a must read but only if you can handle an emotional journey!!!! I have to say I was cheering on someone else but I guess that's what made it so great and frustrating. I can't wait to read Reckless Heart and see who will take me on the next emotional ride because I am positive that is what it will be!!!!!!

It was... good, I suppose.
Honestly, there wasn't anything unlikeable in any of it.
But there's only so much you can do with the standard NA college storyline about a heroine with a traumatic past/day to day issues, and a attitude ridden hero.

Very good
the book was pretty good but in the description it says nothing about Cole; who is more important than Brandon. I loved the book but I thought that brandens back story could've been written better.

This book was not what I expected, but it brought up a very relevant point about how we feel connected to some people and not to others. And how we interpret that connection. Good point. Well done!
