I have been kicking myself for several months. Why? Because I've been sitting on this amazing book series and I wished I had started on it sooner. Our book club's selection this past weekend was Brock's Redemption by EJ Brock. After I re read the first book to better facilitate the discussion, I started on book 2 yesterday, and let me tell you, it's just as good as the first one. And you know it's an amazing book if I read it in 2 day.
Ramiel is one of the Nephlim watchers and is Brock's second in command. Ramiel has a "type" when it comes to women, but his thought quickly changes when he finally meets his "Spirit Mate" Symphony. Symphony is Jodi's cousin (Brock's wife and Spirit Mate, and Yes, you will need to read the first book in the series) who has been through a tragedy in her life that almost took her life. When she and Ram finally meet, he is the only man that Symphony has let touch her, including her father and brothers. I also enjoyed the sub story line of Doc (Brock's long lost brother) finding his spirit mate Kwanita. Doc was just so sweet, naive and innocent, it was endearing seeing that.
One of the most central themes from this book is forgiveness. I was once told by another favorite author that guilt is the devil's best weapon against a christian. Ram is dealing with guilt from not finding Symphony before to prevent what happened to her. He is having an extremely hard time forgiving his self, even though others are not blaming him for it. But as you get towards the end you will see some well needed changes.
Now this is not your typical Christian Fiction, but these are amazing books, and I am totally in love and addicted to this series. Now it's soon time to break out the next book in the series.

A fantastic second book in the "Spirit Mate" series is Ramiel aka Ram's story and what a story it is.
First let me start by stating there is a violent rape of his mate "Symphony" so it tells the story in detail of what actually happened. My heart broke and I am sure everyone else who read it. Symphony was broken in the inside and on the outside, she allowed no man to touch her afterwards except when she met Ram he was the first man who she allowed to touch her and get close to her. Reading their story about their budding love story was such a joy but Ram suffered from guilt because he knew that if he had not been all over the place this wouldn't have happened to her and they would have been mated a while ago.
Ram's guilt was almost unbearable, he loved Symphony unconditionally but the guilt was going to destroy her and him if he couldn't let it go. Their story was about forgiveness and redemption, how to let go and let God have his complete way with you and through you. It is definitely a story that will require your own soul searching, letting go and forgiving as well.

Another great read. This was Ramiel and Symphony's story.
I cannot get over how romantic all the Watchers are with the women and very protective. This is why I am hooked well and truly to this series. As soon as they find their Mate there right into protecting and cherishing them. After all they have been waiting to find them for a long time.
I did feel for Ram though he knew he messed up when he should have been looking for Symphony he was messing around and his past followed up right up to his wedding day. Its getting very interesting how the team keep finding their mates through Jodi family line. There is something behind this fact which I am sure will be revealed as we continue to read the series.
Dan's story is next.

Another great read by this Author, Eva J. Brock! This is a must read! I recommend this book to all readers. This book will make you laugh, cry, and want to help kill some Demons. I recommend this book to everyone. This is book 2 in a series of 16. Each book is reasonably priced. Enjoy your read.

2nd book in the series...it was so engrossing I read it in 3 hours...loved it I just bought the next book.

I've read the entire series already and started over again. This is still my favorite. Ramiel's battle with guilt was so poignant.

I’m definitely enjoying this series so far. I look forward to seeing how each team member meet their mate and see how their relationships with each other and the family progress.

A Love For Ram
After meeting Ramiel in Brock’s Redemption, I was more than ready for Ram to find his Spirit Mate. Symphony and Ram were perfect for each other. In Ramiel’s Symphony, we see Ram go through turmoil for not recognizing and saving his spirit mate in time. I loved that Symphony had a heart of forgiveness for Ram and allowed him to be her protector. Michael’s connection and relationship with Symphony was special and endearing. I loved when he address her as “keeper of his heart.” There are funny moments in the story when Michael kept knocking Ram on his backside. I had to chuckle along with Symphony each time it happened. A little humor in the storyline goes a long way and adds a nice touch to the book.

After reading the first book, I emotionally was connected to Symphony and then her Spirit Mate, Ramiel. So now that I read it, EJ Brock is now making me fall for Yomiel aka DOC.
One of my favorite parts in the book: "Maybe God, in His infinite wisdom, knew that the Nephilims (I'd add soul mate) to love unconditionally one woman which is a gift to them--for their faithfulness, he made a woman, their 'Spirit Mate'" (paraphrased). Personal note: I would love to have a man who only loves me!!! I also loved these these women were their lifelines, as well as the wounded women needed these men to complete them.
Brock's writing style is eccentric and definitely not like any other writer you've ever read up to date since I read various genres and authors as an avid reviewer/voracious reader. The opening was strong and gave me a punch where I couldn't stop reading until a few chapters in with trying to decipher exactly where the novel is taking me, and hope it gives me a bang ending which I am quite sure since it is a series of 19 books thus far. Towards the middle and some early/ending parts, I was a bit lost in the story since some of the back story sort of stopped the storyline to me, yet there were still scenes that had you scream or chuckle. There was also a couple parts that seemed unbelievable to me. Overall, I liked it.

Ramiel's Symphony, book 2 of the Spirit Mates series, was even more amazing than book 1 (Brock's Redemption), and much more complicated. So many questions were answered, more startling plot/subplot revelations, more heart-wrenching scenes, and still plenty of humor and action. We also see the team and the Watcher family grow. Such a complicated book might present problems in keeping the reader's attention, but in my opinion, Eva Brock managed to seamlessly interweave storylines and characters in a manner that makes it easy to follow everything. I can't wait to finish reading book 3, and highly recommend the series.

Oh my God...another great read!! I am happy to report that part 2 in this series does not disappoint. Book 2 is Ramiel and Symphony's story and what a powerful story it is full of love, guilt, forgiveness among others that made for a touching but exciting story. I really hated to have to put the book down. I will not spoil it for anyone but there were some reveals in the book that i didnt see coming and the author is hinting around at something so im finding myself trying to connect dots. I cant wait to see what happens in the next book

The second book in the Spirit Mae series was nothing short of AMAZING!!! I found myself laughing one minute and then ready to cry the next. Symphony's story was tragic. I don't know how she would have survived what she went through without the love and comfor of a "special friend". Ram is my favorite!!! He was tough, but just so sweet when it came to his Sprit Mate. I loved the connection he and Symphony had with one another. Their love was contagious...you could almost feel it through the pages. Another great story Ms. Eva!! Keep em' coming!!

Well, Ram got his mate! Very good story and well written. I really enjoyed the story. The characters are falling in place for me, because I started off by reading the latest book in this series first. Highly recommend you all read this series if you haven't already. Ms. Brock, you have captured my attention. Love it!

All I'm saying is I'm feeling these watchers. The team as Jodi calls them. In this book Ram an Symphony tie the not. Dan had to ask for forgiveness for not be there for symphony attack. Dan find his Soul Mate also. Book 3 purchased.

THIS SERIES IS SO POWERFUL..... ALL OF GOD ANGELS ARE ENCAMPTED AROUND ME.
I wouldn't catagorize this as a Christian fiction series however the author touches on some deep spiritual issues.

So sad & tragic but a wonderful love story! Symphony, a beautiful name, for a beautiful young woman who has suffered a great deal of pain. Ram was the perfect balm to heal her heart. The team & family are growing quickly! Lovin' it!

Ramiel's and Symphony is a wonderful story of love, healing and courage. Ram was her hero once he got off his but, literally and found he. He surrounded her with all of the love he had. Symphony was devastated until she met Ram. There were some laughing moments in the story.
