A real adventure!

This book is the perfect selection for people like me who are in their 30's, because it is the moment when we enter a new stage and the longing for youth begins.
Ava is a successful and charismatic woman who like many at a certain point realizes that life has gone in the blink of an eye, that's why she organizes this trip to Mexico to get closer to that past where fun and closeness with her friends was a high priority.
You will find yourself involved as a reader in a lot of fun scenarios, deep conversations, friendship challenges and an unexpected but exciting romance that gives the whole story a twist.
Definitely a perfect summer book.

Fun book

This is definitely a fun book, fun to read, fun vacation and reuniting with long lost friends storyline, and fun characters. The vibe was a little hyper for me, but that's just me. There were some careless mistakes too that I'm overly critical of and probably don't bother anyone else, like mentioning the "compose" button in an email, rather than the "reply" button. If you're looking for a fun book with a carefree vibe about good friends and the ups and downs of long term friendships, then this is a good book for you. Summer is here and this is a perfect summer reading book, easy and fun and engaging. The drama and love stories add to the fun, and the author includes references to the main character's faith and religion if that appeals to you.

I love these kinds of books. It has a story that is quite close to reality, a successful woman who one day discovers that life is much more than having a flawless professional career. It is a book full of adventure, laughter, reality and a very important reflection, that life should be lived to the fullest every day, that the years go by and one is left with only the experiences and happy moments. A story of love, friendships and very strong women with whom you will feel completely identified. I highly recommend it as it is a very entertaining read but also deep. I highlight the narrative of this author and her ability to create very well developed characters with a lot of personality.

Honestly? Zero stars. This is probably the worst book I have ever read. It has clearly not been edited - so beware of that. Character development is all over the place, unreliable, and I felt like much of the writing was AI or ChatGPT. A 39 year old LA “media mogul” would not swear by a Mary Kay skin care regimen and check Instagram on her laptop. It just gets worse from there. The overall story concept may have promise, but this is at best a rough first draft. More plot holes than actual plot. Don’t waste your time.

I don’t know how I ended up reading this book. Even worse I bought it. Poorly written, weak and confusing story line, full of stereotypes about black women. Nothing redeeming and I hate that I wasted my time reading this book.
