Holy crap. That was an action packed rollercoaster! I mean, from page one the book starts off with a murder and it just doesn’t stop! Audrey goes through so much in such a short time that it’s amazing that she didn’t freak out more. I mean, any of the events she experienced I would have (probably, ok…most likely) freaked out over. But she pulled up her boot straps and carried on. Ok, there were a few freak out moments, but nothing like I would have (probably) done.
I found Tao and his brothers interesting. Instead of being human born werewolves, they were wolf born, and they were treated as outcasts. The concept was interesting. And since they author said that there were stories planned for the brothers and someone else you meet in the book, I’m really curious to see how it all plays out. I definitely want more information.
I especially found myself particularly interested in Leo. With the little page time he got, he was an enigma to me. I want more about him. I want to see the guy beneath the quiet and sometimes snarky brother.
Michelle Fox definitely knows how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat. And as much as I loved it, she caused me to ruin my very pretty painted nails because I was biting them as I read. Yes, it was a nail biter. I couldn’t put it down. I HAD to know what was going to happen next.
I can’t wait to see more from Audrey, Tao and their pack.

This is the first in a new series by this best-selling author. I am so thankful for “meeting” Michelle on Facebook. She invited me to read and I said yes… actually what I said was, “you had me at paranormal romance.” We all know how much I love werewolves in love. Add in that our female lead is a BBW like me and it was easy to fall in love with Audrey. The blurb tells you that Tao is the strong, silent type. Yea, that’s code for “OMG hot and alpha!”
This book was a page turner. I could not put it down. In fact, when I fell asleep at midnight last night it was in my hand and my brain wouldn’t turn off. I woke up at 3am to read another chapter or two before passing out again. I refused to get out of bed this morning until I had finished this story.
This book completely stands on its own with no cliffhanger, but there will be more in the series as the pack members find their HEAs and they all deserve the best guys and girls out there! I have permission from Michelle to let ya’all know that book two will be Sheriff Martin’s with a bit of fun stuff from Kai. This may have been the first book I read from this author, but it definitely won’t be the last.

Its not like shifters don’t have enough to worry about already... there is the threat of knowledge, the threat of power and the threat of being different. Now toss in that mix a psychotic wolf shifter. One of four special wolves, Nick is the one that is certifiable... think wolf stalker. Poor lil Nick doesn’t fit in anywhere.. so he thinks he can bite and turn humans into made wolves, so that he can have his own pack.
Audrey a well curved park ranger with her own brand of sass, is a lover of animals and a vegetarian! She's been bit but doesn’t have a clue about what that will mean for her, until she meets Tao. When Tao is found he is a wolf in a cage, when Audrey actually meets him ...he is gloriously naked in a cage.
We will have to give Audrey some credit for not freaking out, when Tao explains the bite and it means.
Tao is one of the other special wolves and tries very hard to find redeeming qualities in his brother Nick, even though he knows and has seen first hand how dangerous Nick is.
Both Tao and Audrey will have to make decisions in their life, for both of them the choice can leave them devastated.
Starting off the book was just a bit slow for me, I did managed to read it in one night as the pace picked up. (smiles) The characters fit the story line well, I feel in love with the brother named Kai and will love to see his story. There was a hint of BDSM element, more control than Dom but it fit well. A few hot scenes lace the story, and the love developed making the book in its entirety, a good book that Id recommend to anyone that likes shifter. Enjoy

While looking for the wolf that bit her, she discovers a caged injured wolf that is also different from the local wolves she works around. Imagine her surprise the next morning when a naked, healing man is inside the cage she took home with her!

What a fantastic beginning to what I know is going to be a wonderful series! This book does have a HEA, no angsty cliffhanger. I personally love reading BBW shifter romance, and this definitely delivers. Strong heroine? Check! Tall, dark and yummy werewolf? Double check!! I would absolutely recommend this book.

The first book in the First Moon Wolves series is a fascinating werewolf romance that keeps the reader on their toes.
After being bitten by a wolf on the job as wildlife rehabilitation specialists Audrey Levine finds herself with a bit of a problem, not only does it turn out that the wolf was in fact a werewolf, said werewolf has decided that he owns her. Werewolf Tao Black is on the trail of the rogue wolf when he gets into a situation where he needs to be rescued by Audrey he vows to do whatever it takes to protect her only problem with that is it means going against his alpha and that could get them both killed.
This fast paced and smooth flowing plot gets the adrenalin pumping with lots of action, suspense and romance. The author brings the story to life with vibrant imagery and details that capture the imagination and have the reader feeling as if they part of the story. The characters are strong, bewitching with strong personalities that grab the reader’s attention and doesn’t let go.
The attraction between Tao and Audrey radiates from the pages and the sex scenes are red hot and leave the reader sizzling with passion. The relationship is fraught with some issues that have to be resolved, adding depth to the story and the emotions, characters and events are conveyed in a way to make them easily related to and believable. Audrey and Tao are intriguing characters that ensure the reader gets totally caught up in their stories as the drama unfolds and Tao certainly captures the heart of the readers when he finds himself torn between doing what is right, his heart and his duty.
Once I started reading, I couldn’t put it down until the end I found the story to be very enjoyable and kept me guessing with a few twists I didn’t see coming. The author has certainly caught my attention with this new series with its enchanting characters that I want to know more about.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review and seriously? . . . Best set-up for a series ever! I have read lots of books that were the start of a trilogy or a series and some of them have been very good at setting up the series/trilogy, but they are almost always just setting up the next people who will be written about. This one sets up a whole new . . . Darn, I can't say anything else or it will spoil it for you so I'll leave it at 'it sets up a whole new everything'.
I have been very fortunate so far this year in my reading. I have only read one horrible book! Indeed, almost all of them have been wonderful and I'm on a reading high that this book kept waaay up at an all time level.
The world building was great. It had a few new twists to add to the lycan mythos that I thoroughly enjoyed. Audrey and Tao both rocked all kinds of a** although this is one of the few books I've read where I liked the heroine just a little bit more than the hero. She is just so sassy, doesn't take any guff from either the hero or villein and she just keeps going no matter how horrible things get. Not in a floaty unrealistic way either, just gritty dogged determination. I want to be her when I grow up.
I usually wait until at least 3 or more books in a series have been written before I start the series. I'm not sure how I'm going to wait until the next story gets published because all day I've been thinking of all the possibilities for the next books. I finished the book in the wee hours this morning and wanted to let it percolate for the day so it wouldn't be too 'fangirl' and gushy but I keep thinking about it. I don't do 'wait' well.
To finish this review up, I highly recommend this book and the author. I'm off to see what else she has written that I can get my little grubby paws on.

Tao is stuck injured and trapped in his wolf form and in a cage he has to hope that the sweet smelling woman won't decide to put him down. Aubrey wasn't expecting to see a naked man in the cage where the wolf she was taking care of used to be and she definitely wasn't expecting his story about the bite she recived by another wolf to be a werewolf bite. Now she has to decide what to do with her world being turned upside down and Tao's insistance that he can help her. Tao wasn't expecting such a feisty woman to come to his rescue, but with the situation he's in town to deal with he'll have to figure out if they can help each other, if he can keep his hands off her that is.
Aubrey has curves and she's OKAY with them and that make her awsome, but she also has her values and no matter what she won't let anyone undermine even a sexy werewolf and that makes her a great heroine. Tao is an alpha male, a deliciousily sexy one at that and while he does things his way he's not afraid to accept guidance from Aubrey when he can see the wisdom of what she says. I loved seeing these two work together and watch their story grow, and more than that the werewolf aspect was done beautifuilly. You are not left wondering whats going on and what ways the author is making this story her's you see the story she has created and are able to understand just what type of creature she has created no question such as "How did they do that? I dont remember reading about them being able to do that and suddenly they can?" I loved that about the book allot of time with shifter and werewolf type books you're scrambling to understand the story and that definitely is not the case here. Great read for romance and paranormal book lovers alike!

If you love a quick read that is full of romance and excitement then this book is just for you. The heroine, Audrey is no shrinking flower and not your the typical statuesque supermodel type often written about. She is a curvy, intelligent and compassionate woman with a big heart. Her love for animals led her to rescue Tao when he was injured and the local sheriff wanted to put him down. Tao is loyal, thoughtful and torn between the attraction to Audrey, his love for his brother Nick--the wolf that bit her--and his obedience to his pack Alpha. The author writes a story that is quite descriptive without being overly done. Just the right balance that paints a vivid picture without slowing down the pace of the story, which was pretty much straight forward. The love scenes were really HOT. Quote: "You may be a wolf in the woods" she panted, "but your a beast in the sheets." "Damn right," he said, voice rough with satisfaction. "I'm a beast for you." I really enjoyed reading this book and am so looking forward the next installment. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read. With that said, let me state that I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Great start to a new series!! Do you like your books with a hot & steamy romance? Then this is the book for you!! Oh my, my, my, my, my!! Michelle can & does deliver a shiver......I really did enjoy this book. There was a little of everything, action, drama, magic, romance, LOTS of hot steamy loving. Don't get me wrong, there was much more to the book than the unbridled passion shared between the hero & the heroine, Audrey. They played off of each other very well. Tao reached out to Audrey with honor, & integrity to help her cope w/what she had to face, & she responded to what he offered her w/humility, & fortitude, allowing them to open themselves up to a love that was born of not only what was shared in the bedroom, but also of the strength, the compassion, the empathy needed to overcome the obstacles they faced, while still reaching out to help others, in spite of the personal cost to themselves. Yes indeed, Michelle has done a wonderful job of laying out the beginning of a series w/great promise. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I just finished First Moon by Michelle Fox and I loved it. It's a great mix of paranormal, family struggles, ,pack politics, humor and hot sexiness. I love the female lead, Audrey, for her feistiness and her willingness to stand up for herself and her man (she plays it smart when needed and overcomes her fears to do her part when it comes to saving the day). The male lead, Tao, is hot and all alpha, you feel for his struggles and his passion for Audrey comes through loud and clear. The love scenes between Tao and Audrey put the H O T in HOT! Tao is a dominating character, which leads to super sexy scenes, the werewolf edge comes through! The emotional levels of having to deal with pack politics and a crazy brother were well balanced with humor, a vegetarian wolf (loved it!) and great word play between the characters I Can't wait to read the stories of Tao's brothers and will be watching for future books in this series and by this author! This is wolf shifter romance candy, so settle in and enjoy the story!

First Moon by Michelle Fox is a clever story of werewolves and humans. Forrest ranger Audrey, was bitten by a wolf while on her patrol. Her boss was with her her and he chased the wolf off. Audrey remarked she never saw an albino wolf with green eyes. Wasn't natural in order of wolves who populated this area. Next shes called by the sheriff for a death. Looks like the victim was attacked by an animal. She's called because there's a wolf in a cage in the garage. It's wounded. Audrey takes it home. Next morning she hears knocking sounds and runs to the cage and finds a naked man in there. He says his name is Tao. He tells her he was the wolf. He's gorgeous. He tells her his brother Nick is a rogue and his name is Nick and when the full moon comes she'll transform into a werewolf. She's confused but she does feel tingling where her bite mark is. She phones her boss Jay and tells him there is a rabid wolf and they must get the tourists and visitors off the beaches and off parkland. She personally tells the sheriff shoot to kill. How will this matter be resolved? Read it for yourself.

I have to say that I haven't read very many of Michelle's books but she has yet to disappoint me.
This is a well thought out plot, the characters totally believable and the sexual content is hawt. Audrey is a Park Ranger who gets bitten by what is believed to be a rabid wolf. She gets called into a crime scene by the Sheriff and discovers a caged wolf.
Those are the only details I am giving because i don't want to ruin the read for you. Just know that you will not be disappointed if you should buy this book. Michelle captivates your interest from the beginning and it carries out throughout the story.
After the story ends she lets you know that there is more where that came from as she has at least three other stories involving some of the characters from this book. I am so happy to know that there is more from this pack.

Audrey Levine is a park ranger specializes in wildlife rehabilitation who got bit by a wolf. She thought it was a regular bite but it turns out she was wrong.
She is going to go all furry and she needs help, but she doesn't know it.
Then finds Audrey finds a wolf in a cage that is actually a werewolf named Tao.
Tao tries to figure out a way to keep Audrey safe from the crazy werewolf,that is one of his brothers, on a determined path to make a mind controlled werewolf pack of his own.
Tao knows that Audrey is his mate and will do whatever it takes to protect her from his crazy brother and claiming her for his own.
I enjoyed reading First Moon from beginning to end. It was filled with suspense, romance, action and love. I loved reading it and I am looking forward to reading Kai, Leo and the sheriff's books. I can't wait.
Audrey Levine is a park ranger specializes in wildlife rehabilitation who got bit by a wolf. She thought it was a regular bite but it turns out she was wrong.
She is going to go all furry and she needs help, but she doesn't know it.
Then finds Audrey finds a wolf in a cage that is actually a werewolf named Tao.
Tao tries to figure out a way to keep Audrey safe from the crazy werewolf,that is one of his brothers, on a determined path to make a mind controlled werewolf pack of his own.
Tao knows that Audrey is his mate and will do whatever it takes to protect her from his crazy brother and claiming her for his own.
I enjoyed reading First Moon from beginning to end. It was filled with suspense, romance, action and love. I loved reading it and I am looking forward to reading Kai, Leo and the sheriff's books. I can't wait.

Four and 1/2 stars! This book was really good. There were werewolves! I really shouldn't have to say more but I will.
In addition to weres, you'll find mystery, action, romance and steam, ;-) and great characters between the pages of this story.
I couldn't help but feel for the leading man. Tao is put in a difficult position by his brother and his Alpha. He was a wonderful leading man who had lots of honor. He loved his family deeply and to those he felt were worthy of respect, you couldn't ask for anyone more loyal and caring.
The leading lady, Audrey, was full of fierceness and compassion. She was something else. :-)
Toa and Audrey were great together. I am really looking forward to reading more about all of these characters in the next book.
If you like werewolves, you need to read this book. You'll be hooked on this new series just like me!

I enjoyed reading First Moon. It was a very good shape shifter story! Strange things are happening in northern part of Michigan. Audrey has got herself involved with some dangerous male wolves. Audrey is used to rescuing animals and loves her job of being a park ranger, but this time the animal she rescues might just be the animal to rescue her in return. Romance usually happens when you least expect it, even when it could be dangerous. Right or wrong she has fallen for a man named Tao. Tao is no ordinary man, handsome, clever, strong, and a werewolf. Audrey is in danger, but Tao will risk everything to keep her safe. The towns people will never be the same after the werewolves appear. There is romance, danger, adventure and suspense in this story. It's meant for 18+ adults due to the erotica. It is a stand alone or you can continue in the series. I will definitely be reading more in the series.

What an Awesome beginning to what I know is going to be a Interesting series!
This book While not usually in the genre I normally read, was well worth it. It has everything you would want to see in an werewolf romance setting. A strong heroine, Werewolves, Plot, and plenty of action
One of four wolves, Nick is the one that is certifiable. Poor little Nick doesn't fit in anywhere.. so he thinks he can bite and turn humans into made wolves, so that he can have his own pack.
Audrey a well curved park ranger with her own brand of sass, is a lover of animals and a vegetarian! She's been bit but doesn't have a clue about what that will mean for her, until she meets Tao.
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good read.

I found the hero and, to a lesser degree, the heroine to incredibly indecisive and rather dumb. Kill him, don't kill him. Kill her, don't kill her. Drug him, don't drug him. I know he's way past do for the drug but he's snoring so clearly he's asleep and doesn't need more. (Cause why would the baddie fake something like that? :-\) Plus bits and pieces of the story never went any where. Why did she go interview a victim? What did finding out how the lady was was bit do for the story? (Absolutely nothing except fill a few pages.) One of the brothers, Leo, is incredibly strong but a person has no problem breaking from his grip. The heroine has surgery, wakes up and leaves the hospital, no problem. From start to finish she's a horrible shot, why does she even have a gun??? No more of this series for me.

I love reading paranormal romance.. And I really love Michelle Fox's books, that I've read. But this one is now my all time favorite book of hers, possibly of the genre!
The book features a curvy girl with lots of heart, and a hero that gives you tingles.. The good kind! I can't wait for more in this series, for the secondary characters to have their own stories told.
This story truly draws you in and keeps you wanting to keep reading. I was almost sad when I got to the end, because I loved the cast of characters so much!

I got the ARC for a review. I absolutely loved this book! Michelle created a believable story line for the real world with werevolves. The heat that rises between the main characters is scorching to say the least! The personal fight between brothers and pack and woman created a dynamic that I wasn't expecting. I had almost hoped the bad guy survived just for his brothers sake! I can hardly wait for the next book in this new series! I would give a 10 star rating if I could! A must read for shifter or werewolf fans!

...don't mind some messed up family dynamics.
...appreciate when a wolf is strong enough to say NO to his alpha.
...enjoy strong secondary characters.
I LOVED the setup for the other wolves at the end. Those boys don't know what's coming for them and it's going to be a blast watching them fall.

What a fantastic read! Action, drama, wolves, angst and romance. What more could you need?! Great opening, fantastic storyline, icky bits too (that's not for the squeamish!)

I am a fan of Michelle's writing and really enjoyed this book. Tao and Audrey relationship was great. I couldnt get over the hot alpha brothers either even Nick. Hope this series continues and quick

Audrey gets one look at Tao, a beautiful wolf and she's smitten already but little does she know she's already been bitten! Classic struggle between good and evil brothers with lots of unexpected twists. Michelle can run with the pack any day. Great read!

Made it to around 50% and gave up - I just lost intrest

I've had this on my to read pile for a very long time, and I thought I could get away with a quick read to whittle down my to-read list.
I managed about 37% but ultimately there was nothing really keeping me in the story and I found myself wanting to do other stuff. None of the characters necessarily stood out by that point, aside from the fact that Nick seemed a bit cuckoo and there wasn't much explanation to the origins of the two brothers. Just the occasional info-dump that didn't really feel right. So, in any case, I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. Good luck to anyone else braving it.

Bitten and in for the surprise of their lives when on the full moon they become wolves. A mad wolf wants to format his own violent pack but his brothers are forced to stop him. A fated pair is created when one brother is saved by a bitten female. Great beginning to another series by this author.

A quick read with an interesting world of werewolves. I enjoyed the characters and was glad to see that the brothers finally appeared.
