When a merperson from Fishopolis calls on the Super Happy Magic Forest heroes to help free their queen from the influence of evil eels, they're obviously quick to respond. But their status as accomplished questers is thrown into doubt when Horsius the Mighty decides they need his help and experience. Hoofius wants to be just like Horsius, but the others on the team are doubting that Horsius is true hero material. Whose method should they follow? And can they actually save Fishopolis?
This wasn't as fun of a quest with the gang because Horsius is annoying and full of himself, and it takes Hoofius quite a while to clue in to the fact that he isn't the best leader. The book does demonstrate what a true leader and hero is and is not, though, and glorifies kindness for kindness' sake and unselfishness. And the illustrations throughout are still fun.
Notes on content: No language issues. No sexual content. Violence is threatened and someone is bitten but they all end up ok.
Another fantastic installment of the Super Happy Magic Forest! A mermaid escapes to tell the creatures of the Super Happy Magic Forest that the mermaids' home is under siege by evil electric eels. The heroes go on a quest (on Tiddlywink's boat 😆) and meet another "hero." Moments of hilarity abound. Great plot and resolution. We love reading this series with our daughter!
