Her pack of werewolves will test Liam’s limits, his morals, and his undeniable connection with the girl who still has too large a claim on his heart.

Olivia Davis is determined to uncover her own place in Hunterland’s society and hone her newfound abilities. But when Olivia has a terrifying vision, she’s faced with a much larger uncertainty, her feelings for the boy she let slip through her fingers.

Together can Olivia and Liam survive the deadly game of cat and mouse, or will they become victims in a world where the monsters are the hunters? The clock is ticking. The game is on. And the price of failure may be humanity.

Olivia Davis is not adapting as well as her little sister Pepper to their new life as monster-hunters. She's trying to hone her abilities, but a terrible vision upsets her.

Liam Hunter has been a Hunter all his life, but now he faces his worst adversary yet: his own mother, who's become Alpha of a werewolve pack. Will he be able to kill her when the opportunity arises?

I liked the first book, but it was more of an introduction to the characters and the world. Now that's established and we get action almost from start to finish. I had a hard time putting the book down and it was mostly "just one more chapter"! Besides the interesting dilemma with mom Hunter we also have Olivia's and Liam's "on-and-off" relationship, which add a different kind of tension. We also meet a new character, Bradley, who Olivia takes under her wings. My immidiate question is if he's introduced only to make Liam jelous or if there's something more sinister behind his appearance? You'll have to read to find out! 😉

Just like in the first book, Hunterland, we get dual POV's by Olivia and Liam, with a few chapters from Pepper's POV. It works very well and I'm looking forward to reading the next installment when it releases!

This was a great sequel that had me hooked. I was completely glued when Liam came fast first with his past. Liam & Olivia, omg I just wanted Liam to say yes we are a couple but I get the hesitation. Liam & Olivia are definitely characters that have me hooked to their story. The twists were amazing and the ending, ugh I have so many questions lol.

This one felt a little slower than the first- I still enjoyed yes it though. I wish Liv had done more in this one- while her character developed she fell a little flat for me in this. I like Pepper though and hope she stars more in the next one. thanks Book Sirens for the arc, all views are my own

HunterLore by Dana Claire is a thrilling addition to the world of monster hunters and supernatural beings. The story follows Liam Hunter, a seasoned monster hunter from a long line of hunters, who finds himself facing his most formidable enemy yet - his own mother, now turned monster. As he grapples with the dangerous situation, he's also drawn to the captivating Olivia Davis, who is discovering her own powers and place in the Hunterland society.

Claire's writing keeps the reader engaged from the very start, with a fast-paced and action-packed narrative. While some plot twists may be predictable, the story still manages to surprise and captivate. The tension and emotional turmoil between the characters, especially Liam and Olivia, add depth to the story and keep readers invested in their journey.

As the hunt for Liam's mother unfolds, we are treated to a mix of suspense, danger, and a hint of sizzling romance. The chemistry between Liam and Olivia is undeniable, and readers will be rooting for their love to overcome the obstacles they face.

HunterLore leaves readers hungry for more, eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series. Dana Claire has crafted an exciting world filled with monsters and hunters, where every turn of the page brings new surprises and challenges. If you're a fan of supernatural thrillers with a dash of romance, this book is a must-read.

⮞ 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 ⮜
Olivia - I've enjoyed her character, especially since she was so passionate about crystals and herbs, and I loved her found powers!
Liam Hunter - It was interesting seeing him jealous and how silly he acted. There were quite a few moments where he was more emotional, and I liked seeing that side of him.

⮞ 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 ⮜
The story happens in our world but with paranormal creatures, and I liked the secrecy behind it and how only the hunters and the paranormal creatures knew what was going on, while the other people were just oblivious to what was up there.

⮞ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝/𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐝 ⮜
I enjoyed the pace of the story, and how there was no dull moment. I've enjoyed the ups and down between Olivia and Liam, and all the secrets that ended up being spilled. I'm excited reading the next one and finding even more information about the new world Olivia is trying to find.

⮞ 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞/TW ⮜
The story i'd say is round 1 pepper flame, there is a moment that puts Olivia and Liam very close on doing the deed, but nothing happens and the details are barely there, is mostly implied of what may have been. The story however, has quite the details from fighting scenes (humans against supernatural) and it involves blood, loss of a family member, and quite the bloody details.

Thank you Edelweiss for a DRC.

It really helped to read the 1st book before starting this one. Hunterlore picks up right where Hunterland left off. If you like the writing style from book 1, you're going to like it in Hunterlore.

Action starts almost immediately, which seems to be a characteristic of Dana Claire's story telling. You learn about the characters through the events. Have the multiple POV can be off putting at times, and is personally not one of my favorite styles. I always find it interesting when authors choose this style though.

I feel like going from the ghost mom to the werewolf mom was too expected. I would have prefered that to be a book 3 or 4 with other stories in between. More of the characters learning about the supernatural world through hunting other creatures, building relationships, and having more conflicts.

Fantastic sequel!! This one was action-packed and full of thrilling suspense and mystery! I loved the characters and how they meshed together. It was a work in progress and throughout the story they all struggled to find their way so to speak. This book had me loving both Liam and Olivia! They both went through some changes and growth and I enjoyed where it got them. I can’t wait for more.

I love the twists along the way as well and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Not everything is black and white!

If you love urban fantasy, slow burn, angst, friendship/family bonds, monsters, hunters, supernatural, action, and more then be sure to check out this awesome series!

This was a great addition to the Hunterlore series! In this book we have more action, tension and some new characters! Each character is dealing with their own issues and then you have the on and off again relationship between Olivia and Liam which adds to the tension! The book is told from mostly Liams and Olivia’s point of views but you do hear from Pepper which was a nice mix! It will be fun and interesting to see where the next book takes us! Thank you Rockstar Book Tours, CamCat Books and Dana Claire for sharing this book with me!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

I somehow completely missed that this is the second book in the series and I have not read the first, but the author does such a great job at tying in past events and world building that I didn’t feel lost by the time I hit about 20%! The cover is the thing that drew me in- it really called to the supernatural fan in me.

Olivia and Liam have a dynamic that is both endearing and frustrating as hell. It’s interesting to watch Olivia as she trains and comes into herself as a hunter, as well as Liam as he digs through his past. The way the team works together to hunt down the werewolves is very interesting, but I can say I could spot the plot twists from very early on. Not that they are entirely predictable, I just have a knack for pattern recognition and the clues are easy to pick up in the text. Overall it’s a fun and quick read.

I was so excited to continue this series. The tension between Olivia and Nikki as well as Olivia and Liam really brought life to the book. The plot was easy to follow and I absolutely love how human some of the "monsters" were made out to be. I can't wait to see where this goes and the ending has me impatiently waiting for book 3. I received this book as an ARC (for free), this review is voluntarily written.

It has been over a month since Olivia's eyes had been opened to the world of monsters. With teachers in the district being brutally murdered, the Hunter family arrived with their claims that monsters were involved.

After running into a vampire hive attacking unsuspecting campers and finding out vengeful ghosts - led by their own dead mother - Olivia and her family were now believers. It was even harder to swallow that she and her younger sister had powers and were now in training to join the Hunterland team.

Her sister Pepper was able to speak to the supernatural and was having a hard time considering them as monsters. Olivia had the gift of premonition and healing.

Now werewolves were killing hikers and campers. Brutally slaying them and leaving with their hearts. Then Olivia comes face-to-face with the leader of the pack - Veronica... Liam and Jac's mother.

I loved this book! It is action-packed and full of danger and suspense. This series is intended to be read in order. Although you could possibly read it as a standalone you miss the main premise of the Hunterland team and how Olivia's family becomes involved.

This paranormal suspense romance revolves around a family of hunters eradicating the monsters of the world. The story is written in multiple POVs giving future depth into the characters as Olivia fights her jealousy, Liam fights his feelings and Pepper fights to believe that all monsters are in fact monsters. All the secondary characters add to the feelings swirling around as they work to train the girls for the fight of their life.

I first fell in love with this author in her Olympian Wars series and I love this contemporary paranormal series even more. Can't wait for the next book in the series that hopefully gives Olivia the answers she is looking for. Answers that only an unlikely monster can help her uncover.

Highly recommend.

Exciting sequel

- I would like to thank the author for the eARC -

BOOK 2 in the HUNTERLAND series

I loved this sequel! It was a real pleasure to dive back into this exciting world with the characters. I really enjoyed seeing they learn more about the mysteries the world holds, and adapt to the hardships life throws their way. The alliances and relationships that developped were beautiful and surprising at the same time. But the twists and turns, as well as the action-packed plot were what I loved the most about the story. It was a very fun and exciting read, everything I love in a YA fantasy novel: magic and mystery, romance and tension, friendship and unexpected allies, plottwists and intense action. I'm very excited to see what will happen in the next book!

I highly recommend this exciting YA series!

This is the sequel that delivered!!!

I loved everything about this book from the incredible characters to the action packed plot. With Agent Hunter off on a hunt to find their mother, who they all thought was dead but had turned into a werewolf, Liam is left to pick up, lead and protect the Davis family.

When a pack of werewolves start murdering people in their town, they have to investigate and find them before there are more fatalities. This leads to an action packed and thrilling investigation with revelations and twists keeping us on the toes.

I love how the author explores different types of relationships between characters and the way they grow and work together because of them. The sibling bonds, romantic elements, friendships among the characters made it a heartwarming read. I can’t get enough!!

It was basically a race to find how much more adorable a character can get!!! Liam won, in my opinion though! The way he changed when Olivia was even mentioned!!

I’m obsessed with them all and can’t wait to see what the next book brings us!! Thank you so much to the author for sending me an ARC to review!

The Hunter and Davis families are back! After murders start cropping up in Falksville, our favourite monster hunters are on the case.

Agent Hunter has left town to try and find Veronica Hunter, his wife who they had presumed dead, but it turns out she’s been an alpha werewolf this entire time.

Liam Hunter is left to try and figure out who is committing these murders and why. Add Olivia Davis - Liam’s on-again off-again love interest who has the ability to heal and to see the future - and her sister Pepper, who has an interesting ability to speak to supernatural beings that others can’t (including ghosts, vampires and werewolves).

This was a great second book in the Hunterland series, and I look forward to what comes next! The book was fast-paced and full of action, and I loved seeing how things developed for Olivia and Liam after the last book.

I hope you have your hunter's kit stocked with red licorice sticks and silver bullets, because the Hunters are back! Picking up right where Hunterland left off, Hunterlore brings us right back to our adolescent hunters. The Davis sisters are dipping their toes into training under Liam's extremely overprotective watch. When murders occur that draw the hunter team's attention, everyone is left with decisions to make. Lines are drawn, absolutes soften to shades of grey, and everyone is tense and uncertain of what's to come, except for one thing; the hunt is on.

I received a copy of the Beta, and am leaving my honest review.

Hunterlore is the second book in Dana Claire’s Hunterland series. After Hunterland, I was left wanting more in the best way possible.

Hunterlore did not disappoint. We follow Liam and Olivia further into the Hunterland world of vampires, werewolves and more. Where Olivia and her sister start coming into their own- their own Hunter powers and their place within the community.

We also follow Liam and Olivia through the ups and downs of their relationship. The push and pull keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The mystery of Liam’s mom unfolds and the more you learn, the more you want to know.

I am on pins and needles waiting for the next one!!

I was lucky enough to be chosen as a beta reader for this book, and wow!

I already really enjoyed book one, but this one was even better! I think part of that is because I already knew the characters and a lot of the background of the world.

We get to delve much deeper into the world of the hunters, and the character development is amazing, particularly for Liam and Olivia.

Dana does it again!!! I just love her books so much and I’m absolutely in love with Liam. I have so many questions and theories I can’t wait for the next book! This one felt even more focused than Hunterland and just as fast paced. Definitely keep going in the series if you loved Hunterland! Or get started with it if you haven’t.

Book 2 did what it had to do!
Because of the time between books 1 and 2, I appreciate the tastefully rendered recap at the beginning, well done Dana.

We are transitioning from the ghost mom in Hunterland, and the story of how Olivia and Pepper Davis came to join the Hunters. To the werewolf mother of Liam and Jac, and their struggles dealing with her turning.

The action starts early in the book, peppered with tension between Olivia and Nikki, Olivia and Liam, and doesn't let up!
Liam has some deep issues with how his mother, Roni was bitten, and the fact that she seemingly chose to turn instead of dying had played out. So finding out she was in the area, the alpha of a pack they believed was responsible for the murders, fighting her, and then having to now work with her to solve the recent murders was a tough pill for him to swallow. His character in this installment was very emotional, not as light-hearted and flirty as in book 1.

Olivia is coming into her own, beginning to understand her ability more, and finding her place among the Hunters. There is an aching question of how the hunters got their start and the information is rather sketchy causing Olivia to investigate further. The opportunity to ask Roni opens up, and the answer given leads to even more questions.

Olivia has a larger part in the Hunter's story than she realizes.

The ending was such a, "SAY WHAT NOW?!", that I am bummed to have to wait on book 3.

Thank you Netgalley, Dana Claire, and CamCat Books for the ARC of Hunterlore. I am voluntarily giving my honest opinion of this work.

The Hunter and Davis families are thrown right back into another monster hunter case, and this time it's personal.  Veronica Hunter, believed to be dead, has resurfaced as the Alpha of a werewolf pack.  And, it seems that there has been increased werewolf behavior around Falkview Falls.  While Pepper and Olivia hone their new skills as hunters, Liam and his dad are on a hunt for the woman who was once their mother and wife.

Hunterlore jumps right into the action in book two of the Hunterland series.  This time, the mission stays more focused as the Hunter and Davis teams are focused on a pack of werewolves and finding Veronica Hunter. I enjoyed the addition of the hunter twins, Jazzy and Nicki, and their abilities.  Their presence added a layer of friction between Olivia and Liam as well.   Told through alternating points of view between Liam and Olivia, their relationship woes take up some of the focus.  I was happy to see Olivia work on honing her powers more in this book.  I also enjoyed the one chapter from Pepper's point of view, I think she is very interesting and I wish there were more chapters dedicated to her!  I don't know how all of these hunters with special abilities didn't put the clues together about the werewolves in their midsts; however, I loved Veronica's character and hope to see more of her.  Hunterlore also begins to give some information about the creation of the Hunterlands as well as a change in mindset that the monsters they are hunting may not be the monsters at all.

This book was received for free in return for an honest review.

🩸 HunterLore (Hunterland Book 2) by Dana Claire
Paranormal • Supernatural Thrills • Angst + Action

Book two turns EVERYTHING up: the danger, the emotions, the monster lore, the heartbreak, the claws-out action. If Hunterland gave you Supernatural-meets-Vampire Diaries energy… HunterLore says “What if the monsters got even messier and your family trauma grew fangs?”

Liam is fighting the worst nightmare a hunter could face ... his mother, now leading a vicious werewolf pack tearing through the woods. Meanwhile Olivia is finally stepping into her own power, her own place in Hunter society… and straight back into her confusing, magnetic, absolutely-doomed-but-I-still-ship-it feelings for Liam.

The tension??
Insane.
The stakes??
Higher than the body count.
The romance??
Slow-burn, painful, forbidden, delicious.

I devoured this. The forest scenes are cinematic, the danger is constant, and the emotional fallout hits hard. Liam and Olivia’s connection feels even stronger here with equal parts longing, frustration, loyalty, and “I’d kill a werewolf for you.”

If you love:
🩸 YA paranormal adventure
🐺 werewolves + monster lore
🔥 second-chance tension
🎒 high school mysteries
🌙 morally messy families
💥 nonstop action scenes
❤️ a romance you’re yelling at

…this series is SUCH a blast and dangerously bingeable.

Bring on book 3 because that ending?? I need answers NOW.

Hunterlore is the second book in the Hunterland series by Dana Claire. Hunterlore was just as exciting to read as the first book Hunterland. The monster hunters pulled me into their story from the first page and kept their hooks in me until the end. I love this world of monster hunting that has been created for Hunterland.

Liam Hunter is a monster hunter of all paranormal creatures. Liam goes where he is called. In Hunterlore Liam’s mother has become a monster and he has been called to investigate.

Olivia Davis is trying to find where she belongs in this monster-hunting world. She is trying to perfect her magic skills to become a better monster hunter.

Liam’s world lights up whenever Olivia’s name is mentioned or she enters a room.

Liam’s mom keeps them on their toes. His mom is a werewolf and a monster. Hunterlore is unlike any book in its category that I have read before. Hunterlore has different kinds of paranormal creatures but they are all unique in their own way.

Hunterlore is an exciting read that kept me hooked from beginning to end. It is filled with many twists and turns that keep the pages turning. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I can’t wait for more in this amazing world of monsters and hunters.

I highly recommend Hunterlore to all paranormal readers. Grab a copy of Hunterlore today!

Hunterlore is a book about Liam Hunter who is a monster Hunter in a town called Hunterland. Olivia Davis is another person who lives in Hunter land and is trying to study to deal with the monsters that live in the town. This is a great young adult read on monsters and also with a slight romance involved. I have not read the previous books in the series however you can read this as a standalone book.
In the previous book, Liam and his family came to town to investigate the suspicious suicides that were happening in the high school. They ended up staying and Olivia and her sister have some magical abilities of their own. Liam and Olivia have started a relationship but now Liam is cooling off and Olivia is left wondering why. There is also another girl named Nikki who has shown up and is making Olivia jealous of the attention Liam is giving her.
Liam thinks that he is being gracious by not being with Olivia since he is worried that she will be harmed if they were to be together in a relationship.
The writing in this book is very interesting and I would say it is well written for a young adult paranormal story. I loved this book and the ending leaves room for more of the series which I will be checking out as this author writes a compelling story that you can’t put down until you’re done.

Hunterlore, the first book in this series, is perfect for anyone missing the Supernatural show. We have a group of monster hunters who call themselves Hunters. We follow some siblings, sisters Pepper and Oliva, who are new to the hunter lifestyle, having only discovered it in the first book. Liam and his sister, whose name is escaping me at the moment, grew up in hunter life with their parents, who are also Hunters.

That is where most of the similarities end, although it kept giving the same vibes as Supernatural throughout the book, and I was totally here for it.

Olivia has come a long way from the first book, she and her sister are training to be hunters, and I loved watching her make progress in her abilities and seeing the sisters grow closer. The story itself is engaging dealing with a part of Liam and his sister's past, and once I picked it up I didn't want to put it down. The characters are ones you want to root for. There are plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing what was going to happen next, and overall I just had a great time with this story and I hope that we get more books in this series!

I received a copy of this story to read and review. Although it took me a little longer than I would like to admit to get through this story, I am glad I finished it out. I was and am a big fan of Supernatural. The storyline, the characters, I am for the fantasy of it all. While the storyline here, was quite similar and it tickled that part of my brain. This storyline also has its own separate aspects to the story that help make it its own. It was nice to get a deeper look into the characters that we meet in the first book. I enjoyed the nice addition of characters this time around as they added to suspense and action. I enjoyed witnessing the push and pull between Liam and Olivia’s characters. It felt very true to high-school romance. For being a genre I wouldn’t normally think to pick up this storyline has proven to be quite delightful. There was plenty of suspense and action to keep you pondering the rest of the story. The ending seems to have a bit of a cliffhanger. Whether it be another in the series or spinoff, either way I look forward to see what comes from the world of Hunterlore.

I FREAKING LOVE EVERYTHING CLAIRE WRITES!! But I will DEFINITELY say that the HUNTERLAND SERIES is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!

This is about monster hunters. It’s about hunters with gifts that make them a valuable hunter. This story is about these young people who have amazing gifts and are thrown into the hunter world. They are Olivia and Piper, and they are discovered by a prominent hunter family who are highly trained, the kids Liam and Jac. They have trauma from when they were young and their mother was bitten by a werewolf and became one. These characters all have complex pasts and personalities.

I love each and every one of the Hunterland characters and am completely invested in what happens with them. This world is AMAZING and full of action/adventure and twists & turns. It’s totally hard to put it down. When I wasn’t reading it I was thinking about it, or dreaming about it!! A story that you become completely immersed in and escape your world for a while. I look forward to more from this series!!

Book 2 in the series and I continue to enjoy this storyline! I maintain that this is like a YA Supernatural book series and Liam reminds me SOOO much of a young Dean Winchester.

Liam has a tragic backstory (like most monster hunters) and this causes him to keep emotional walls firmly in place (even if he uses his sexuality like a weapon!). I enjoyed getting to peel back the layers of Liam in this story and see a more emotionally vulnerable side.

Olivia is struggling to adapt to the new hunter lifestyle. The hot/cold relationship with Liam, the arrival of the beautiful twin hunters who make her feel more insecure and the loss of her friend in book 1 means Olivia is feeling isolated and lost. This creates a ripe environment for a new friend when a boy moves into town. Her eagerness to befriend him absolutely frustrates Liam, which he deserved in my opinion!

This story focuses more on the Were monsters and the mystery surrounding the Hunter families mother. We get glimpses of a larger plot involving Olivia's purpose and the history of the Hunterland organization - of which I believe will be flushed out more in coming books. While YA, there is definitely a romance subplot though no on page spice to be found.

I really enjoy the monster hunting stories and I am loving the budding relationship between Liam and Olivia. I am excited to see where Mrs. Claire takes us next!

WOW. I loved this more than the first book in the series. I am a big Supernatural fan so this was amazing for me. Loved getting to know these characters better and to see them grow and evolve as well. I did see a lot of things coming, I felt so smart picking up on the hints haha, it was something I enjoyed. I still have so many questions though. I NEED to know what happens next. I don't feel like it ends on a cliffhanger, but I have questions I need the answer to. I'm excited to see Olivia grow and I really enjoyed Pepper her chapters as well. This book was mostly from Oliva and Liam their POV. Loved learning more about the Lore in this world.

ARC in exchange for an honest review. This was such a fun book to read! I enjoyed all the characters and the story development. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Hunterlore is the second book in this series. I don’t recommend reading it out of order as there are pertinent details entwined throughout both books.

Hunterlore is set a few months after hunterland’s cliff hanger of an ending! Liam is an experienced monster hunter and Olivia is just getting used to her newly discovered abilities. We meet powerful adversary, Veronica, Liam’s mother. Veronica was once a monster hunter but is now a monster herself. Liam and Olivia’s world is turned upside down when a group of campers are found ripped to shreds and missing their hearts. Can they work with Veronica to figure out who is behind the murders before it’s too late? Will their love conquer all or will their duty to the supernatural realm prevail?
