Three delightful short stories by three very talented writers. (Anita Stansfield, Krista Lynne Jensen, and Sheryl C.S. Johnson) I found each very entertaining with endearing and sympathetic characters. I was sorry to see each story each and wished they could have lasted a little longer!

I really liked these short stories. It was like reading the fast forward version of three stories, with the feel good afterwards, but less time imputed.
Spoiler: hanging by a moment: Kendal goes on a British Virgin Islands getaway with her sister and some other married couples to have time for herself after the stress of a divorce. She meets up with an old friend, Bret. Even after many years past college they still have a romantic tension and this time they get to see where it leads.
A raven's heart: a Cinderella type story. Stella has the choice to marry for security, but turns it down and finds she has inheritance of a house. The stable man is more than he appears. Unexpected love results.
Count my heart:
Trisha Pearson is in many predicaments. She loves her job, but is looked down on because her dad's the boss even though she is overqualified. She has to prove herself to her coworkers.
The guy that helps her get the homeless man out of her car is the guy from corporate that comes to find who is embezzling money from the company. They form a bond that they keep secret until the work issue is resolved.

I really enjoyed this set of 3 novellas. It was easy to read but also easy to set it down between stories--which I tend to have a problem doing with full length books!
language: clean, heat level: mild
The first one, Hanging by a Moment, was a just a sweet contemporary "second chance" romance. I could relate to the characters in the story. It made me want to take a trip to a nice warm beach!
The second one, A Raven's Heart, was a great regency story. I would happily read a full length book with that premise. A fun and sweet read.
The third story, Count my Heart, was a contemporary story about an accountant who finds romance in a very unexpected place! A cute little read.

I enjoyed the way each story was so different, yet they had a common thread. I loved the tropical setting in the first story and loved the way Kendal shed her insecurities. The second story was a historical fiction and it was fun to see how strong Stella was, considering her situation. She had such a kind, good heart. I loved the twist at the end. The third story was fun because it took place in my hometown--well, really, really close to it! I thought this one was funny in places and it really engaged me. I loved the tension between Trisha and Nate. All three stories were fun and clean--I just wish they would have been longer.

Three very different novellas in a combined book by two authors I was already familiar with and another author that was just as fun to read.
I have been stuck in a few slow books over the last few busy weeks and needed a little break with some fun reading that I could read quickly. These fulfilled that goal completely! Clean, fun, and a little flirty and one of them was even based in Regency time. What more could a girl ask for?
It seems to me like some novellas make the whole story rushed and it's a letdown when it's over, but these are decently paced and makes me able to experience more of the story with the characters.

I thought Stansfield's story was the weakest of those in this collection but found all reasonably enjoyable.

I liked all of these stories, one in particular I could not put down. They all ended too soon. The middle one was my least favorite.

I enjoyed this book. I am still delighted that Covenant Communications had the moxie to put three such different stories into one book and then launch a whole series of books off of it. When I was invited to write a short story I was thrilled. I had several half finished books. You see, I write until I know how it ends. At that point I get bored and often just stop writing. It was a matter of taking a partial book and getting to the end quickly.
My favorite character in my part of the book, "Count My Heart," was Nell. I've had a few Nells in my life and I get such a kick out of their spicy personalities. I really enjoy genuine people who just lay out how they feel. No guessing your way around them. You just know who they are and what they're thinking. Perhaps it's not a good model for peaceful interactions, but, you have to admit, in a world where everyone is so guarded and afraid of being judged by others, Nells are fantastically refreshing. Could I spend every day will Nells? Alas, my ego is probably too fragile to handle such an arrangement. Boy, do they make me smile though.
My over the top favorite part of the book was when I realized I'd have my name on a book cover with Anita Stansfield. She's the one who urged me to sign with Covenant for "Table for Two." She's an absolutely delightful woman who makes the "S" section of the romance book shelf at my local library sag with the weight of her brilliance. Krista Lynne Jensen can write circles around me too. I was so honored to be included beside such wonderful authors.—Sheryl C.S. Johnson

I really enjoyed this. It was 3 short stories and each was written well enough where when it ended I wasn't left wanting. Really liked this book.
