★★★★★ "I really enjoyed the whole book, as I was one of the lucky people who got to read an early copy of it! The characters generate such a strong feeling of being alive, not only the characters, but the whole world the 4L have created. It moved me, for moments it made me laugh, made me worry, and inspired my own creativity. While reading, there were times when I wanted to stop and draw or write. It is a fascinating book and I am grateful to have read it. I would love to know how this story continues. I can totally picture it as an anime, would love to read the whole manga too. - Lee Howie Duprat
★★★★★ "From the time I started reading this book, I was enthralled. The story telling is phenomenal and I loved the characters as well as the world they live in. You start to forget that you are the reader of the story. It flows so well. The struggles, the laughs, the pain and the victories of the characters, you feel it all in a conclusion that leaves you wanting more. The brother Storm and Caim are here to stay! Remi is by far my favorite character, but there is something inside each of them, that we can all identify with. A beautiful story told with so much love and care. To the creators of this fantasy epic, Thank you for sharing your world with us! I cannot wait for more." - Gabriel Valentin
★★★★★ "A brilliant 3rd Edition and one that only serves the series better as a whole! I am now convinced that the Four Lords are writing stories on par with the greatest writers of our current generation, and will only continue shatter ceilings!! A 10/10 must read for any fantasy/adventure lover!" - Alexander Marcus Cohen

The book starts with an opening scene that pulls you right in. The world is still so mysterious, so I am sure there is much more to explore and to be revealed. The artwork and map makes the story even better. I still don’t know what a curseborn is though…is it someone not of nobility? From Falia? I think that’s not it, but I guess it will be revealed later on.
Ronin is a very interesting character, and that ending kind of blindsided me, haha! I can also see there’s some inspiration from other anime. I can actually picture it as an anime too, who knows, maybe someday?
When reading this book, there are mythology and legend stories that are heavily layered. About how to overcome their trials and tribulations in life.
Caim and Storm are brothers but fundamentally different. One simply believes and embraces, and while one is cynical and deals with facts. You watch them, you not could help to cheer them when facing their grandfather,Ronin.
It is a wonderfully written story that Ronin would often tell his grandsons that it is up to you what you make of and take these answers to yourself.
I thought it was a very fresh writing style and felt really different. It was only my second fantasy epic but its one that was easily digestible while still immersing you in a complex world with interesting history and animals. The characters all were really good and differed vastly in personality.
This is a definite anime inspired story with two brothers as the main characters - their dialogue and back and forth is my favorite. It’s just the start to a bigger story but I really enjoyed this first novel and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
