This was a good read with a cute storyline. Many of the references to Conneaut Lake and surrounding area attractions are true to form which makes it somewhat historically sound. Being from the area myself made reading this book even more enjoyable. The characters were well developed and true to life. I found myself relating to each of them in some way because they were so believable. I can almost envision a continuing storyline. If that were true I would definitely read it as well.
As an avid pickleball player myself, I really enjoyed this book. I wish I could play a game with Pat and Harper and see the cottage and Conneaut Lake. Fun read and very like-able characters. Going to read Curry’s Pickleball by the Sea next…after I play a few hours with my local pickleball club, of course.
The whole time I read this I was wishing I was reading it at the lake. Therefore it took awhile to get into. The story was good but there are some errors with spacing and one or two errors of the wrong name being used.
I seriously felt like I was reading a book a 5th grader wrote. The details to make sure all the local businesses were in the book was way to much. Pickleball Pat.. the parentheses and italic was way to much
