What do we know about Chloe? Well, besides the fact that she is beautiful, blunt, and blithe, she has a tragic past. There's a reason Chloe Steele doesn't want to let love into her life. Her childhood friends are all marrying, or happily involved; but Chloe...she doesn't let any guy, even Brett, break through her barrier. Will it take the one person she never thought she could forgive to finally unlock her heart. Can he help her fall head over heels in love? Chloe must realize it’s not the love that kills, it’s the absence of love that makes us bitter, and ultimately destroys us? If you liked the twists and turns and romance in the first two books by J. H. Cardwell, get ready for Chloe. Find out what the characters from Attainment and Atonement are up to. Who will make a dramatic return and rock Chloe’s world? Read Chloe as the third book in the Attainment Series, or as a stand-alone. She certainly holds her own!
I have spent years in the medical field; the first few as a Cardiac Specialty Nurse, and over the last decade as a Pharmaceutical and Medical Sales Representative. I have gathered mounds of experience both personally and professionally to pour into my long-time passion…writing. After years of power points in the corporate world, I am enjoying working on stories in romance fiction with my first series, The Attainment Series complete. I am now in the process of writing my first stand-alone novel. I live in a small town in NC with my husband and four children. While continuing to work in sales, I am also exploring my writing late at night and in the wee hours of the morning when my children are tucked safely in bed.

Of the 3 books in the Attainment Series, I loved Chloe best. It was really great and I loved hearing about the characters from the first two books. Chloe had a lot of issues and it was very interesting how they all had closure. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.
This is one of my favorite series. With each finished book I anxiously await the next and they get better and better. Chloe is absolutely amazing. With her tough background and her extra tough attitude, I never dreamed she would fall in love or get married. She swore both off numerous times. The wall around her heart is rock hard and unbreakable, until she makes a deal with the one guy she thought she would never trust or fall in love with. My favorite part in this love story was when Chloe actually broke down and cried, telling her husband the story of her life and letting him in and then he did the same for her. At that point I knew they were destine for each other, true soul mates.
Chloe’s friends, Reese, Maura, and the rest of the gang, are still wonderful. They are the friends that fight and disagree, but you know that they will have your back and quickly forgive you. Add to these women their spouses or boyfriends and you have the best support that one could ever ask for. I loved how Chloe was able to turn to them at the best times of her life and the worst, knowing there was no judgment from them.
As always, I was up late reading and loved every minute of it. Chloe is a book I would recommend to everyone. This entire series is a MUST READ.
Chloe is the best in the series of (Attainment) books by J.H. Cardwell; however, the first two were good reads also. This is an easy read book and I'm sure a lot of folks like myself, read it in one sitting. I just know that when I got near the end, I flipped over to see how many pages I had left and wished I was near the middle of the book instead of at the end. I did not want the story to end. Well written had highly recommended.
Chloe runs from love and wants nothing to do with it. She has her heart broken as a child and vows never to open it up to love again. She is content with her fiends ad only occasionally wonders if she is missing something with all her friends being in love and she is alone. With her college debt rising she really needs to focus on getting a great job and paying hem off. Now at the oddest time she gets a strange offer. It may be the one thing she needs in her life but it may also break all her friendships up.
I haven't read the other books in this series but I had no problem reading this one. It was read as a stand alone perfectly. I really liked Chloe and how she has to learn to open up. She is a very caring girl but she doesn't offer her heart. Jack is the guy she should be running from and only being friends with. They all have ties in the past and have the same friends. She doesn't care much for him but he grows n her. They have a deal to begin with but soon that deal doesn't last long as they really get to know each other. Chloe has to face up to her past and learn to love with her heart before she loses the one chance she has at happiness. I wanted more from them and at times I feared the worse. This is a wonderful story that was a delight to leave.
Wow!! Love how this book went so indepth in Chloe's character. Love to see God can bring so much good from the hurt & pain. I couldn't put the book down! I started reading and didn't want to stop. I felt like I was going to miss something (like in a movie) if I put it down. I can't wait for your next book!
Authors review... I'm really excited for you all to read about Chloe! I enjoyed writing this book and her story SO much. Please let me know what you think :)I love hearing from you.
So I had the privilege of reading Attainment and Atonement where I fell in love with these characters. This book picked up where the last one ended however it doesn't follow Reese this time. This book followed Chloe and John.
Chloe is closed off from everything, especially when it comes to love. John is finally moving on from Reese but there is also a clause where he could lose the business he has worked at building up the last few years. These two finally give into their feelings even if it starts out as an arrangement.
I must say that I absolutely adored this book. I burst out laughing, I bawled my eyes out, and I wanted to throw my kindle. This book had it all. It was intense in all the right places and I really hope there are more books because I LOVE LOVE LOVE these characters. I had such intense feelings about this book it was that amazing. Thank you Julie for writing such an amazing set of books.
Such a good and easy read! She had her heart broken as a child and doesn't want to open up again so she's put a wall up. She's had tough life and has a tough attitude to go along with it. It's good to see good come to someone who's had it so bad. Her breaking down to her husband was just great to see that they are definitely meant to be together.
I received this book in a Goodreads First Reads giveaway.
Love this series. Love John and Chloe. Could not put this down. So glad they got their happily ever after. Could not believe everything they had to go through. Will read more from J.H. Caldwell.
