Thomas Mann was a German novelist, short story writer, social critic, philanthropist, essayist, and Nobel Prize laureate in 1929, known for his series of highly symbolic and ironic epic novels and novellas, noted for their insight into the psychology of the artist and the intellectual. His analysis and critique of the European and German soul used modernized German and Biblical stories, as well as the ideas of Goethe, Nietzsche, and Schopenhauer. Son cuentos contados como de tu a tu. Creados al vapor, o mejor dicho de vapor, por que muy sutilmente, entre gestos y ademanes que nos deleitamos en imaginar, Thomas Mann nos siembra curiosidad, sopla sus cuentos en nuestra imaginación, la infla como a un globo, y de pronto con la frialdad de un pinchazo, nos trae de vuelta a esta realidad. Nos arranca de ese cuento al que no pertenecemos con una indiferencia que se siente burlona. Mis favoritos: Anecdota, Tobias Mindernickel, el camino del cementerio, vision y un momento de felicidad

Simpático y dramático cuento sobre la mujer y las relaciones de pareja. Pero especialmente en el papel de la mujer, y cómo muchas veces es criticada por algunos actos que para los hombres pasaría desapercibido. Un cuento un poco feminista.

Relatos sobre personas con caracteres contradictorios, que parecen una cosa y resulta otra. La realidad del bien y del mal resulta difícil y hasta el final de cada relato no queda clara.
