If Sophie Sinora survives tonight, she’s sure to be grounded for life. But that’s the least of her problems. She’s thousands of miles from home, people are not who they seem, and she doesn’t know friend from foe. She needs to keep her hot witch boyfriend, with an even hotter temper, from losing his cool before the incubus finds them and steals their souls. And she’d thought she was having a bad week when she sprouted that ginormous pimple on her nose. If only her life was that simple.
Tara West writes books about dragons, witches, and handsome heroes while eating chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate. She's willing to share her dragons, witches and heroes. Keep your hands off her chocolate.
Tara West's young adult and new adult romances have been Kindle bestsellers. A former high school English teacher, Tara is now a full-time writer and graphic artist. She enjoys spending time with her family, interacting with her fans, and fishing the Texas coast.
Witch Blood is the sixth book in the Whispers series. Sophie finds herself running from a powerful demon. With her boyfriend Ethan and his little sister with her, she tries to find a way to defeat him. This book takes an exciting ride through fear, love, despair and hope. I found it hard to put this book down.
This is book 6 in the Whispers YA series by Tara West. I received an advanced copy as a beta reader.
Witch Blood picks up where Sophie's Secret Crush left off. Sophie and Ethan are in serious trouble and their friends and family do what they can to help them out. The book is fast-paced and well written and gives us further depth in to Ethan and his family. We are introduced to new characters and I look forward to learning more about them in forthcoming books in this series. As I stated in previous reviews for books of this series, this is definitely one series I would recommend to my grandchildren.
If you have not read the first five books in this series, you should as each book builds on the previous. Sophie's Secret is the first, followed by Don't Tell Mother, Krysta's Curse, Visions of the Witch, and Sophie's Secret Crush.
I will not give spoilers since this is about to come out. But this book was ALL that and a box of CHOCOLATES!!!!! Only problem is now I have to wait for the next one to be written! Lol
I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.
Witch Blood deals with the story that started in Sophie's Secret Crush where there is a teacher at school that doesn't seem to be affected by Sophie's mind powers. Sophie's friends get involved but Sophie thinks that she is safe because she is miles away from where AJ's vision showed her to be. But things are never that clear cut for Sophie and her friends.
This is darker than the previous books but still remains firmly in the Young Adult genre. This is a series that is full of quick wit and humour as well as friendships, romance and life in general. There is still so much to see and read about Sophie & co. Definitely recommended to all YA fans.
I re-read this book last night! It is full of teenage angst with witch powers thrown in! Not like being a teenager is bad enough throw in demons an over protective father and hormones! Friends going through the same helps, So does a hot guy with elemental powers! He puts a new meaning to hot, cold, and electrifying! Great book for teens and adults! Making out is as racy as it gets! I forgot to add the younger sister has the aww factor as well! Was the perfect book to read and relax to! Like always Tara West is a great Author!
Wow!! Just as great as the previous five books in this series if not better!! Witch blood was packed full of attention and kept me wanting more, I'm so glad the girls are reunited, let's hope they stay that way..... once again we were left with a major cliffhanger and gotta anxiously wait to find out what is in store for these three witches and their friends and family...
This was an extremely excellent read and I could not put it down. It moved along at a great pace, has characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and a story that you cannot get enough of. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a great read that will transport them to another world for a few hours. Way to go.
I was surprised that this book was mostly about Sophie again, but I'll take it. In all honesty, I can't even recall the plot of this book because I was too busy reading it and gasping at all the stuff happening as I hurried to continue to the next book.
