Second in the series

Abigail Hughes lost the life she thought she wanted, her dignity, and quite possibly the only true friend she’d ever had. Abby couldn’t take much more of what life wanted to throw at her. When she tried to numb the pain of her past with John, it backfired as she felt what it was like to be treated like a lady. She never thought she’d fall in love again, but would she be able to survive the fall?

Olivia Levins was the happiest she’d ever been until her world was turned upside down, and she was left for dead. With Kyle walking out on her moments before her attack, would she finally succumb to the pain and heartache she’d known for so long, or would she be strong enough to not only fight to live but fight to get him back, as well?

B.L. Mooney

B.L. Mooney started writing when the voices and storylines in her head ran out of room. They were getting too cramped and neither B.L. nor the characters could take it anymore, so she did the only thing she could do—she made room. She always knew she wanted to write, but vowed to make time for it later. Now that she’s made time for writing, most everything else falls to the wayside. That seems to suit the characters that keep popping up just fine.

B.L. lives in the Midwest and her other talents include in-demand cookies, a very dry sense of humor, and stealth eavesdropping. Some mannerisms, attitudes, or twists come from random sentences picked up while passing by strangers. So speak up the next time you have something to gossip about. You never know, it may just end up on the pages of the next book you read.

*This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review*

The story takes place immediately after the first one “Liv’s Existence” (and yes you will have to read the first story to understand this one) and it’s just as good if not better. Right after the completely shocking ending of the first, the characters are still growing and trying to move on from the horrifying events. Is Liv strong enough to move on this time? Is Kyle strong enough to stick around after what happened to Liv? Does he even want to? How will Liv cope if Kyle isn’t in her life like he used to be? Will Abby be able to move on and love again after realizing the mistakes from her past? Will Abby’s and Liv’s friendship still hold up once Liv starts to know more about Abby’s past? Where Liv’s Existence was more about Liv getting out and growing this one delves more into Abby’s past and what she went through. You find out how shocking and sad home life for Abby was and even get a few surprises when her brother Travis comes into town for a visit. Shocking twist and turns right after another keep this story so entertaining. I went through all the emotions with this one: shock, sadness, happiness, anger, it really keeps you on your toes. Even with all the shocking twists and turns…I won’t give away the ending but I was cheering once I finished this.
Definitely a great follow up to a great story line. I would definitely recommend checking both stories out.

First and foremost, this is not a standalone. You must read Liv’s Existence before enjoying Abby’s Survival. This is not a typical review, because it’s difficult to review Abby’s story without giving away Liv’s story. When I sat down to write it, I found myself wondering what the heck I was going to write to do this book justice! I decided to get straight to the point and tell you to get ready for a roller coaster ride of emotions. Abby’s Survival will give readers and fans the emotive experience we have come to expect from Mooney’s books. There’s pain, there’s joy, there’s anger, there’s forgiveness, there’s a plethora of emotions. Mooney did a wonderful job at creating a most unconventional friendship in book 1, and both the benefits and repercussions are felt throughout book 2. I found myself holding my breath more than once, getting angry at some characters, empathizing with others and losing sleep because I could not put this book down! The stories were tied up nicely in the end, leaving me feeling satisfied. I’m definitely a loyal fan of B.L. Mooney’s and this book just solidified my position as an avid follower of her work. Read these books!

What a roller coaster of emotions this book was. The 2nd part in a 2 book series, the story of Abby and Olivia continues in Abby's Survival.

The pain and loss both girls struggle with is undeniable. Throw in love and it made this story amazing.

The emotional roller coaster both Abby and John, and Olivia and Kyle go through is full of ups and downs, twists and turns, and things you never expected to happen. I cried with them and yelled at them during this story, but definitely fell a little bit in love with them too.

I gave this book 4 stars, and just tell you to definitely read the first book, Liv's Existence, it will give you the background and focuses on Liv's story. Olivia is very much a part of this book also, but Abby has her chance to tell her story.

Loved loved loved this book. You MUST read book one first. Reading both these books is going to take you on an emotional journey.

I'm not going to go into the storyline as it could spoil either books. I am going to say Abby and Livs stories are not for the faint hearted. Both these books kept me on the edge of my seat. My heart went out to both of these characters.

These two books took me on an emotional ride. I highly recommend these books. If I could give more than five stars I would.

This was a great conclusion to this 2 part series. This book (and the series itself) is packed with emotion. This author is one of a kind, just like this book.

This book is a great read about a special friendship, and two love stories! The characters are strong and fantastic.

Don't miss out!

At the end of Liv's Existence, I was gutted. I couldn't believe I was left to wonder if Liv survived or not until the release of book 2. Then, when I saw the title and read the synopsis for Abby's Survival, I still didn't know what to expect with Liv's part of the story. Thankfully, though, B.L. Mooney didn't leave me in suspense for long. But, even knowing that Liv survived the attack, I knew the aftermath was going to be just as traumatizing for Liv, Abby, Kyle, and John.

For most of book 1, Liv and Abby were only existing...they both were shells of their former selves thanks to Adam and his sadistic acts, but the true nature of Abby's relationship with him was still very vague. Abby didn't want to discuss her time with Adam; her focus was on helping Liv heal and start living again, but when Liv almost dies, Abby can't help but feel responsible for bringing Adam back into her life, and she also wonders why she was with a man who made her do the things that he did. As Abby starts to realize how much she allowed Adam to change her, depression consumes her, and the vibrant woman who was helping Liv is now merely trying to survive. Because Liv is only just recovering, it's difficult for her to try to heal as well as help Abby cope with her own demons, but Liv understands that Abby needs her, and she'll do anything she can to help Abby even if it means facing some extremely difficult truths about one another.

Abby's Survival is a fantastic story that illustrates how the bonds of friendship and love can truly set someone free from a past full of torment and darkness. Readers learn so much about both women and what they've been through and how they truly see themselves is exposed. B.L. Mooney does an amazing job of illustrating Abby and Liv's growth as independent women who begin to understand their true self worth. It takes them a long time to realize this, but that's what makes their transition realistic. The complex storyline and strong characters are what make this book a must read. There wasn't a time while I was reading that I wanted to skim; each and every moment captured my attention. I wanted Abby and Liv to fight to regain who they once were, and I wanted John and Kyle to be waiting for them when they finally felt ready to live again. Thankfully, B.L. gave me an epilogue full of heartfelt moments that truly allowed me to see how full circle all four characters had come. I couldn't have asked for a better ending to Liv and Abby's stories. You definitely can't go wrong with this series!

Who are you? Truly deep down does anyone really know themselves? If the most awful things were done to you and you didn’t stop it, how would you feel? React? If you told them to do it, would it be your fault? What about facing the fact that you got out of the situation but that left room for someone else to suffer? Could you heal and accept things and move on? Not with a lot of help.

In the sequel to Liv’s Existence we jump right in where we left off. Olivia has been stabbed repeatedly by Adam and is fighting for her life. Can she recover? Even if she does physically how can she heal mentally? Well it takes digging into Abby’s life to find those answers and that’s exactly what happens in Abby’s Survival.

Abby and Olivia are the keys to each other’s healing process. They are both haunted and devastated by their part in Adam’s debauchery. In some ways they asked for it and enjoyed it. Olivia put up with it for a long time and Abby couldn’t stop her body from responding which makes her think she enjoyed it. Overcoming what the mind tells you is truth to understand what you were feeling and where you heart is….well that’s a daunting task.

John is Abby’s rock. She knows he’ll leave when he truly knows everything about her. But the more he finds out and the more he stays by her side the more comfortable Abby gets. But there’s still a lot he doesn’t know and a lot he’s going to have to deal with. Will he be there for her in the long haul? Is true love enough?

Olivia pushes everyone away so they don’t have to deal with her issues. Kyle is one of them but will she have the strength to make him understand? Will he be able to love her flaws and all?

I realize I’m not explaining really what happens in this book. I don’t want to spoil it for you since it jumps right into the story and things twist and turn from there. I will say that there are love stories with tragedies and forms of abuse and fights and so forth. But this story is undoubtedly about actual love. Not true love in the all hearts and flowers, romance way. Love that endures all. Love that is so real and raw it hurts to experience it but it hurts more to not have it. Love in the form that each person knows there is no way to not love. Abby and Olivia find this between themselves in a sort of sisterhood. Will they also accept it with their men?

B.L. Mooney brings out the rawness of emotion in these characters in a way that is truly remarkable. This book deserves every one if it’s five bars!!! Truly a book to be experienced! HIGHLY recommend!!!!

Do not read this review if you have not read Liv's Existence as it will contain spoilers.
When we left Olivia and Abby in the first book everything had come to a head. Olivia and Abby were best friends, Kyle was the love Olivia longed for and the past had found her and consumed her. This second book answers a lot of questions left from the first one and adds more detail to each girl's story.

Abby's survival actually opens with the survival of Olivia. She has faced her demon and now we have to see if she can survive his wrath. While he is still out there, the focus once again is on a fragile Olivia and bringing her back. In this book we see the strength of Abby and what made her the way she is as her past starts to surface. Kyle is still front and center in book two as well as John, Olivia's ex boyfriend.

Olivia is recovering at Abby's house because the apartment now holds too many bad memories. She has suffered a huge set back, which also sets back the ever loving Kyle. He is put off that Abby has now replaced him in the best friend role. Kyle and Olivia have crossed that line, so now Olivia isn't comfortable with the love she actually feels for him. Abby has totally moved on from the monster of Olivia's past, however her self esteem has taken quite a hit. Now she is working on bringing Olivia back as well as keeping her own sanity in check.

Again, the emotions are spread across the board in this book. At one point I wanted to just clunk Olivia and Abby's heads together and say "Wake up, there are two perfect men waiting for you guys!" Instead we are introduced to Travis, who at first I thought was going to do more harm than good. Travis is Abby's brother that actually sheds light on Abby's past, showing where those insecurities came from as well as lighting a fire under Olivia.

Kyle still holds the title of My Favorite in this series. He is such a sweet, patient man and this time around he gets to be a bit of an a-hole. However, I will allow it because of what he is put through. John comes in at a close second as favorite, he is the perfect balance for Abby, just the type of guy she needs if he can get through to her.

I truly loved this series. It is heavy yet funny, with just the right amount of sexy thrown in. The characters are all fleshed out nicely and work well together. So many ups and downs, you really aren't sure who you are routing for to be together in the end. It wraps up nicely and we get a little epilogue to boot. I again thank B.L. Mooney for letting me read her book for review.

Heartwarming, emotional and healing are just a few words I felt while I was reading this book. This book picks up right where Liv's Existence left off. Olivia is in the hospital recovering from a vicious attack from Adam. Kyle and Abby are right by her side to help her through this difficult time.

Olivia moves in with Abby, going back to her home is just to much for her to bear. She shuts out Kyle and puts their relationship to a hault. I understand where Olivia is coming from it just hurts to see her push Kyle away from her. Kyle also upset me because he did not fight hard enough. All this time and he just walks away. As much as I loved Kyle he got put on my shit list.

Olivia and Abby's friendship strengthens and forge a bond that is very strong. Abby's character is nothing what I image a person to be. She is better than most people. If you really look at the big picture here, she put all her emotions, thoughts and needs aside for Olivia. Most people can not do that.

Olivia finally is getting the help she needs with Hannah and seems to be making progress until she has a HUGE set back and John is there to see it. I did not realize how bad Olivia was until this point as well. I like the relationship that Olivia and Abby have, there were times I was curious if things were going to take a different turn for them, they were very close and it did seem that the friendship could cross a new line.

Abby, this was so much her story as well (As the book is named Abby's survival). She had a lot of secrets and while she wanted nothing more than to help Olivia heal from what Adam did to her and the terror that he put her through. I knew Adam was a sick man, to learn what he did to her as well was alarming. I felt the shame that Abby felt as well and understood why she did not want to tell anyone, Olivia included in what her past with him was about. She was so focused on helping Olivia and really tried to put her feelings ahead of her own that she did not see what it was doing to herself. Thank goodness for Hannah again. She helped her through even if it did break her for a little while.

When I signed up for the blog tour I had no idea what I was getting myself into with these two books. They were nothing like I thought they would be. I am so glad that I read these books and enjoyed every word that written.

In order to truly understand this book, you must read the first book in the series, Liv’s Existence. These are not standalone books by any means.

Abby’s Survival begins immediately where Liv’s Existence leaves off and chronicles the healing Liv has to do not only physically, but emotionally as well. Both Liv and Abby must come to grips with how their contact with Adam has forever changed not only their lives, but the way that interact with those around them. Can Liv’s newfound love with Kyle stand the test? Will Abby’s past come back to haunt her new relationship with John?

The entire cast has reassembled for this volume of the story. Unfortunately I can’t share a whole lot about the story without giving away some pretty major spoilers, but if you’ve read the first book, I’m sure you’ll understand the amount of emotion within the pages.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed with Abby’s Survival. In the first book, Ms. Mooney created two characters in Liv & Abby that were strong and willing to face their challenges head on, regardless of the level of challenge. In this book, it felt like there was a whole lot more angst and self-doubt. There seemed to be a whole lot more “he loves me, he loves me not”, “I don’t deserve him”, etc. than there needed to be in order for the story to progress. These are two characters that we know are broken and we know that they are each going to confront their demons in different ways, but in a lot of ways, they ended up the same whiny mess at one point.

While I was disappointed, that doesn’t mean that Abby’s Survival isn’t a good book, because it definitely is. Once again, Ms. Mooney has presented a well-written, emotionally heartbreaking tale. The characters feel genuine and the storyline kept me engaged. I just felt that given the age of the characters involved, as well as the gravity of storyline itself, the angst came off a little more NA than it needed to. I am completely satisfied with the ending and feel that fans of the series will be as well, knowing that for what Liv & Abby have endured they more than deserve their happily ever after. Four stars to Abby’s Survival and I’m looking forward to what Ms. Mooney has lined up for us next.

Abby's Survival - The sequel to Liv's Existence

After reading Liv's Existence, I was anxious to see how the rest of the story unfolded. This story is about love, loss and the pain both of them share, for different reasons. For Abby, her whole life changed with her fiance telling her that he had raped Olivia 10 years ago. She became determined to find Olivia after he said he wanted forgiveness. What she found was a woman that was just existing, not really living. She had been in hiding for 10 years and was deathly afraid of Adam, so much so that seeing him caused her to be violently ill.

In the first book, we saw a strong bond form between these two women who had been hurt by this one man, but in totally different ways. We got hints of the painful life that Abby had before she met Adam and it made sense why she tried to work things out with him. We also got insight into the pain that he had caused her while they were together. We learn more about Abby's life and why she feels that Olivia would never be able to understand what Adam did to her. I feel like we end up knowing Abby a lot better than we know Olivia, but that's not a bad thing.

These books were a real roller coaster, with many ups and downs, twists and turns, and unexpected things, that they keep you on the edge of your seat and you want to finish the whole book in one sitting, which I did. I laughed, cried and screamed at what was happening in both books, but I couldn't help but fall in love with these characters. They became family. For me, this series turned out to be a love story between Olivia and Abby (not a sexual one), and how easy it is to hurt someone you love without meaning to. They have a very strong bond, which we see when Abby walks in on Olivia and Kyle while they are having sex and they are ready to celebrate with each other, even in the midst of an orgasm.

I definitely recommend that you read Liv's Existence first, then read this one to get closure for both women.

I was provide a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.

Wow just finish reading this book, and I love it, this book had me in an emotional roller coaster. I read the first book (Liv's Existence), and I love it. This book is about friendship, loss, betrayal, love and laughter, and it is also about Rape and the consequence of it, after it happened, this book had me crying, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away. This book picks right up where Liv's Existence end.

The story begging with Abby showing up on Olivia place, she is excited to talk to Olivia, but she was not expecting to find her apartment complex, fill with cops and ambulance, when she was walking in, the building manager tried to tell her not to go up, she ignore him and headed to Olivia apartment, that's when she knew that something was wrong, that's when she heard Kyle voice, and when she saw him holding Olivia and blood everywhere. She couldn't believe what she seen, Now Olivia is recovering at Abby house, cause she don't want to go to her apartment, now its being a week ever since she seen Kyle and she don't know how she would feel once she see him again.
Now Abby is trying to survive, she has move on from the monster of her ex, and now she is working on bringing Olivia back, as well as to keeping her own sanity in check. Than comes in Travis his Abby's brother, and we get to see where Abby insecurity come from. Would they get to heal and move on or will they still be hunted.

I really love and enjoy reading this book, I love the characters, I love the way that Kyle is with Olivia, and love it how we finally get to see why Abby is the way she is. I really did not wanted to finish reading this book, I want more. I am a fan of Author B.L. Mooney, I love her way of writing, I said it once I am saying it again B.L. Mooney THANK YOU for this WONDERFUL AWESOME SERIES, AND THIS AMAZING CHARACTERS LOVE THEM.

I just finished Abby's Survival and I liked it. You have to read the first one which is Liv's Existence. This was a journey of existence to survival. Liv's story was really the 1st one even though it intertwined with Abby's. Now it is Abby's turn to share her story. This cannot be read as a standalone, you have to read Liv's first but once you get to this one, you will not be able to wait.

Trying to be spoiler free, this story starts out right after Liv's, literally. A lot of things are going down with Liv and Abby, and of course Adam is involved. He finally gets ahold of Liv and things get messy. All I can say is that there is a lot of trauma mentally and physically and things by the end of the story go down. Who will be there at the end? You will have to read and see...

I really liked the story, I thought that it flowed well. I can say at times I was like WTF because of some things that happens but once you get to the ending it made sense. I like how it was still in both of their point of views, you really got a feel for them and what they were going through. I just feel like at times there was a lot of drama that wasn't needed. Some do things, ask questions later and I can get that and understand that but felt like it wasn't needed here. Other than that it was an enjoyable experience to read and was glad that I had the honor to get to read it.

Loved seeing all the past characters and love how the author brought in the new characters. Would love to see a spin off with Travis??? That would be really cool. A lot of things were left unsaid with him so maybe something in the works...

If you are looking for a series that grabs you from the very beginning and trust me, it will not let you go, then this one is for you.

** TARA'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW **

This is a sequel to Liv’s Existence DO NOT proceed with this review unless you have read it first.

In this continuation we follow the complex and intertwining lives of Olivia, Kyle, Abby, John and Adam.Answers to questions and mysteries from part 1 of this series are revealed, lies are told, twists are taken, friendships and relationships are tested.

Will Abby ever feel she deserves to be loved?

Can Olivia let go of the past and move on?

Will John and Kyle be able to put up with these crazy best friends?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will admit, I was super frustrated that the first book in this series just left off in a major cliffhanger, but after immediately starting this book and picking up where I left off I was sucked right back in to the crazy, angst filled story. On so many occasions I found myself thinking, “I never saw that coming”. There are so many twists and turns, your head will be spinning.I must warn you, it is extremely hard to put both of the books in this series down once you start them, luckily they are both about 4.5 hours of reading each.
This was the first time I had read anything by this author, and I love her writing style, she captivated me from the start and I felt like I was inside my kindle watching everything from a birds eye view. I never felt that anything was overdone, or lacked description. The sex scenes were in perfect proportion and well balanced. The characters were all well developed.
Please note: This book comes with some very serious subject matter including suicide, manipulation and forced sex. If you are sensitive to this subject matter then this series might not be for you.
This is book 2 in B.L. Mooney's series.
You need to read book one in order to read this book.
I gave this book 5 stars.
This is Olivia and Kyle's story and Abby and John's story.
It leaves off right where book one ended.
IF YOU have not read book one do NOT read this review.
Olivia and Abby have been through hell and back, and in this book they are learning how to deal with the aftermath of all the turmoil and nastiness that they have been dealt in their life. They are two best friends that need each other to see that there is still good in their life. After all they have been through I can see why they do some of the things that they do. BUT I wanted to kill them half the time and yell WAKE UP!!!
I feel like Olivia leaned on Abby a little too much, and pushed Kyle right out of the way. So him in turn acting the way he does to me is very justified!!!! Even though I understand why she did it. I felt like she is a strong woman and she can get through anything yet she let this thing that happened to her in her life destroy her almost to a point where she was unable to come back from. I get it and I don't. I wanted to shake her and ask her what the hell was going on in that head of hers. I mean who walks into a knife? Olivia! ANYWAY, I loved this book it was a really deep read, but yet I still found myself laughing and enjoying it. Thank you so much B.L. for another amazing book! <3
Abby's Survival is the sequel to Liv's Existence and brings you full circle in the story of Olivia and Abby. I was completely moved by the first book and was dying to get my hands on this one! B.L Mooney has outdone herself again by creating what I would like to call perfection at it's best! It starts off where the last book ended and you're thrust into a whirlwind of emotions. Olivia, Abby, Kyle and John are all dealing with situations that would threaten to break anyone. Abby is the strong, beautiful girl who seems to have it all....or does she? Her past comes back to haunt her and she has to either accept and deal with it or let it destroy her. She has to be honest and tell Olivia and her new man what she has done in her past, but is afraid they won't understand. Her fears are based off of her childhood and is scared that they will leave her too, just as everyone else did. Olivia still needs Abby to be there and comfort her but Olivia is learning that Abby needs her just as much. Can they help each other deal with their pasts or will they wind up alone and regretting ever telling anyone about the things that haunt them? This journey through Olivia and Abby's lives will leave you with various emotions throughout the book ranging from heartbreak, sadness, love and triumph. It isn't often when an author can tell a story so profoundly that it effects you emotionally and spiritually. Thank you B.L Mooney for having the ability to touch someone's soul and deliver an emotionally challenging and heartfelt story. Your words will heal the hearts and lives of people who have been through similar situations.
Again I’ll start with the ending, that was an excellent ending … I’m glad I was alone when I read the epilogue because I literally laughed out loud. The title was a bit more subtle this time around as it’s not as in your face as Liv’s Existence was, especially considering how the book begins and the reader is praying for Olivia to survive Adam’s attack. It’s easy to focus on Olivia’s issues as she is far more vocal about them, at least when talking with Abby. While Olivia’s survival is far more literal, Abby finally shows us just how much she has survived, including incidents that happened long before she ever met Adam.
Because this is the continuation of Olivia and Abby’s story that began in Liv’s Existence, it’s difficult to discuss specific scenes without giving away potential spoilers – especially as I read them back-to-back and the stories have bled together, as they should when a series is well-written. What I will say is that I absolutely loved the development of Abby’s character – the way she finally opened up to Olivia, her sense of humor, her fears, and her vulnerabilities. I enjoyed seeing her and Olivia’s relationship strengthen and survive the oh-so-many tests it was subjected to. Is there a happy ending for Abby’s Survival? You’ll have to read the series to find out, but do heed the author’s warning as there are sensitive subjects addressed in the series. Ms. Mooney has done an excellent job with this series and I look forward to reading more from her.
****DISCLAIMER**** I RECEIVED A COPY OF ABBY'S SURVIVAL IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.
After reading Liv's Existence I knew that I needed to read Abby's Survival. There was no question about it.
Abby's Survival picks up right where Liv's Existence left off. I was happy to know that there wasn't going to be any back story as I just wanted to dive right in with the story.
Ms. Mooney does a fantastic job and telling both Olivia's and Abby's story from their respective point of views. Both Olivia and Abby had their unique voices and you could clearly tell whose story you were reading.
One of the things I truly loved about Abby's Survival is the strong and true bond of friendship. Both these women came together in the aftermath of a terrible tragedy that befell Olivia. However, Abby herself was living a concealed nightmare. Through the midst of Abby helping Olivia overcome some things, Abby herself gets help she deserves and needs.
While Abby's Survival is a drama, it also has its moments of humor, happiness and suspense. There were moments when I was laughing out loud at some of the situations the characters found themselves in.
When they laughed, I laughed. When they were hurting, I was hurting. Whey they cried, I cried. As far as the suspense goes, I was beside myself because I couldn't believe what I was reading.
Ms. Mooney did a beautiful job in bringing in all emotions and resolving the story to a beautiful and fulfilling ending.
I truly enjoyed reading Abby's Survival and I definitely recommend it to others. Be sure to read Liv's Existence before reading Abby's Survival though. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you BL Mooney for a chance to read Abby's story in advance for an honest review! I loved it! This is the sequel to Liv's Existence & can't be read as a standalone! Too much has happened for that! I can say that I haven't read in a long time, a book so jam packed with drama, heartache & movement! There was never a dull moment! EVER! Actually in both books it was this way!
We have all the same characters as the 1st book: Olivia, Abby, Kyle & John with a lot of the minor characters. Added to this was Travis, Abby's hot brother, who I think would be a good addition to these two books! Lol With this book, we are focused on Abby & learning why SHE is the way she is but Liv has just as big a role in this book as the 1st. There are some OMG WTF moments! There are some awwwww sweet moments!! There are a LOT of NO OMG NO THIS CANT BE HAPPENING moments!
Together, Liv & Abby work through their issues & insecurities! They put their friendship to the ultimate test trying to put an end to the man that caused all of this! Awesome creative writing & stories! I was so heart broken & moved by these 2 amazing women! Loved the ending! The epilogue was the perfect ending & tied up the loose ends perfectly!
**We were provided an Arc in exchange for an honest opinion**
The story of both Abby and Liv continue.
Abby is so worried about everyone around her that she is rarely taking car of herself. Her past with Adam is messing with her. She just wants to forget about it and be happy with John.
Liv and Kyle have gotten back together after parting for a bit. Her and Abby are still thick as thieves.
I love that John and Kyle formed a friendship too... Not that they really had a choice!
It literally broke my heart that Liv thought that Abby would put her in danger. I understand her not wanting to clue her in, but on Liv's behalf, I felt for her. Poor Abby just thought that she was doing right by not letting her know. I love that in the end, their friendship was much more bigger than that. I LOVE that, that piece of crap got what he deserved!! You ever read a book and want to jump in and strangle the character? Yup, that was totally me!
I think the author did an amazing job continuing the story. I love that there is different POV's!
Abby's Survival reviewed by Sandi
5 Blushing Stars!!!!!
I really loved this book, it starts right where Liv's Existence left off. The characters Liv and Abby are very complex and you keep learning more about them as the layers are peeled away from these characters. This book kept me involved as I took this journey along with Liv and Abby. They discover more about each other and how to help themselves and their best friend. The two of them learn how to live, not just exist and survive after having some serious tragedies happen to them in their past. This book was a refreshing change even with the serious subject matter. I also really felt for the secondary characters, John and Kyle, having to watch what their girlfriends are going through and not knowing how to help. This series is a must read, you won't be disappointed.
I jumped right into book as soon as book one ended...... I had mixed feelings about Abby in the first book. I wondered what brought her to seek out Olivia at her place of business. Why she felt like she could help her & what her motives were. I did like the friendship that was formed & at first I was thrown that Liv's Existence was told in dual POV but going into Abby's survival it all tied together & made sense. I also actually ended up liking Abby even more in this book & came to understand her & her decisions. This was also as much of an emotional read as the first one & also had some moments where I was like "Oh shit!"..... "What, don't do that!". I also really wanted to smack a few people in is one & shake them. So again B.L. Mooney did her job well in writing a phenomenal story that dragged me through the wringer of emotions.
This story is the second part in Liv’s Existence . Abby is Liv’s best friend. If you haven’t read Liv’s Existence yet you will want to read that first. This picks up where the other book left off. Once again the author brings the emotions out in this story. Watching Liv and Abby grow and learn to trust and love again is wonderful. They have to both work through some very emotional baggage from their past. They are both strong and independent women who take small steps into trusting themselves and each other. It is a beautiful friendship that grows stronger throughout the book. The author has done an amazing job in bringing up serious issues and adding laughter to keep the story lighter. I love the personalities of her characters and look forward to reading more of her work.
I got an advanced copy of Abby's survival in exchange for an honest review. After reading Liv's existence I was left traumatized and on the edge of my seat, in the best way possible.Abby's survival was a great sequel to the first book.
I absolutely love this book. It has all the emotional ups and downs that keep me reading through one sitting, till I finished the book. I love both Abby and Olivia's story's but it is their relationship with each other that I found truly heartwarming. I adored the epilog, it was a great ending.
If you are looking for a great series that is hard to put down, this is it.
The story continues for Abby and Olivia. This book must be read after reading Liv's Existence in order to understand and experience the full impact of the story.
This is a story of friendship, loss, betrayal, love and laughter. It takes through a whole range of emotions with never a dull moment. It also deals with rape and consequences both physical and emotional of such an act. Looking for forgiveness and the hope of a new beginning.
I found this series compelling. It is well written with believable and well developed characters. If you can, read both books one after the other for full impact. Bravo BL Mooney! This is definitely a story for our times!
Abby’s survival is the second book after Liv’s Existance
This series is a very emotional read Liv and Abby have both been abused either physically or emotionally by the same man. This brings them together and forms a strong bond in them. They lean on each other to learn how to live again after the things that have happened.
There is a lot of angst, hurt, pain in this book.
There were times during this book where I just didn’t really understand why Liv and Abby were doing what they did and I really wanted to shake some sense into them. Especially Liv where Kyls is concerned.
Over all I enjoyed it
In Abby´s Survival, Liv and Abby´s journey continues.
Like the first book, this one also brings a lot of emotions. Their journey is fill with unexpected things. Twists and turns, ups and downs. It´s for sure a roller coaster.
We watch Liv and Abby grow and become stronger and stronger. We see them learn from everything that they went through and are going through in the book. All of these really kept me on the edge because you don´t know what will next page or chapter bring.
I was not left disappointed and definitely recommend it.
This book is not a stand alone You need to read Liv's Exsistance to follow it. As we follow Abby on her journey of pain and understanding it's not her fault. She learns not to blame her self. Liv has a big part in the book as well. Together Abby and Liv work through their issues and inscurities . These teo girls love each other so much and put thier friendship to the test to put an end to the man who caused all the pain and hurt. The ending was perfect. I love how the author tied up all the loose ends. I give it a 5* review
