“Lizzie Borden took an axe/and gave her mother forty whacks/ When she saw what she had done/she gave her father forty-one.”
I grew up with this eerie song, and I've always been intrigued by Lizzie Borden, but I'm amazed at how much I didn't know.
This was a quick read (less than an hour) that will fill you with all the Borden knowledge you need to know. Her trial is quickly outlined followed with a detailed timeline of the day of the murders. Of course I'm left still believing she is guilty, but oh, the possibilities!
Fall River, MA will definitely be my next trip. I can't wait to visit the Borden B&B and Maplecroft.
Great book and very informative. Docked a point due to incorrect comma placement and punctuation. Could definitely use another edit.
This book gives facts and theories from various sources. But will state that they are only assumptions not proof. I enjoyed this nook very much. It didn't take very long at all to complete reading it.
Absolute drivel riddled with terrible grammar and punctuation. Possibly written by a high school student for an assignment. Don't waste your time, just read the Wikipedia entry. I'm glad I didn't pay for this or I'd be demanding my money back plus interest.
