Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was born in a village in the North of Palestine named Selat AI Harithia in Genine District in the year 1941. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam received his early elementary and secondary school education in his village, and continued his education at the agricultural Khadorri College where he obtained a Diploma. Although he was the youngest amongst his colleagues, he was the brightest and most astute. After he graduated from Khadorri College, he worked as a teacher in a village named Adder in the South of Jordan. Later he joined Shariah College in Damascus University where he obtained a B.A. Degree in Shariah in 1966. After the Jews captured the West Bank in 1967, Sheikh Abdullah Azzam decided to migrate to Jordan, because he could not live under the Jewish occupation of Palestine. The sacrilege of the Israeli tanks rolling into the West Bank without any resistance made him more determined to migrate, to learn the skills necessary to fight. In the late 1960's he joined the Jihad against the Israeli occupation of Palestine from Jordan. During that time he received a Masters Degree in Shariah from the University of AI Azhar. In 1970 when the Jihad came to a halt, and the PLO was forced out of Jordan, he assumed a teaching position in the Jordanian University in Amman. In 1971 he was awarded a scholarship to the AI Azhar University in Cairo at which he obtained a Ph.D. Degree in Ussul al Fiqh in 1973

“if you are too stingy with Allāh to give Him some of your time at such an early age, in the coming times you will be even stingier.”
‘Umar would say: “Learn, before you are given positions in life.”
You will be asked about every second of your life, as on the Day of Resurrection, every breath that you took will tear itself apart out of sorrow and regret.
So, we must pay special attention to the years of one’s youth. Anas bin Mālik said: “The Messenger of Allāh (peace be upon him) came to Madīnah with his Companions, and there was not a single man with white hair in his head except for Abū Bakr, who had dyed his beard with henna and saffron.” Not a single person had a white hair on his head except for Abū Bakr, and Abū Bakr was 51 at the time, and ‘Umar was 41, and this was after the Prophethood by thirteen years. As for when the Messenger of Allāh (peace be upon him) was first sent forth and the people believed in him, Abū Bakr was 38, and all of those who had accepted Islām were between 15 and 25, in addition to those who were children.
Because of this, the Lord of the Worlds will shade this youth who was raised in the obedience to Allāh on the day in which there will be no other shade: “There are seven whom Allāh will shade beneath the shade of His Throne on the day in which there will be no shade but His shade...(including) a youth who was raised upon the obedience to Allāh.”

"If you are too stingy with Allah to give Him some of your time at such an early age, the coming times will prove you to be even stingier."
How are we passing our youth? What are we doing with our time especially free time? Are we prepared to answer these questions? Because these are the questions, every Muslim will certainly face on The Day Of Judgement :) #self reminder
Found this very beneficial despite its size. The youthful age is a very expensive stage in life and in a few pages, the author gives practical advices on how Muslim youth can be more productive during this important lifestage. I would recommend it to all my Muslim friends, including the elderly, as one way or the other, we all have people in their youth we care about.
