xperience the cool sand between your toes, feel the sun, warm on your face, and enjoy the fresh breeze as it plays with your hair. Drink in God's awesome creation, and apply these lessons from the beach to your daily life. As you read this collection of 30 devotions, you'll be taken back to carefree days on the beach; those days away from your daily responsibilities, when God seems so close. These devotions evoke the many aspects of life at the beach, each accompanied by a relevant Bible verse, and wrap up with a short prayer. Each devotion is short enough to read in a few minutes. Their themes and applicable suggestions will help you keep your thoughts centered on Christ throughout the day, and enable you to draw strength, joy and peace from scripture and from our awesome Creator.
Devotionals can sometimes be a little touch-and-go for me. The segments aren't that interesting, or I don't agree with the author on certain topics, or they just don't apply to me personally. Beach Devotions was absolutely none of that.
This is a lovely little chapbook. Each short devotional takes a comparison from the author's vacations on the beach and applies it to spiritual life in delightful ways, drawing comparisons that are simple and yet very insightful. It was truly a blessing for me to have the opportunity to read this book. The stories made me really think and reconsider my life for the better.
I'm going on vacation to the beach this year, and I'm probably taking this book with me, just to digest some of the thoughts again. Well done!

What a great devotional. I read this devotional in freezing cold weather, in January and February in Iowa. Far from the warm weather beaches set out in the devotional. However, this devotional brought up great topics that are applicable year round no matter where you are. It brought me closer to God each morning which is what a good devotional should do.
Now I need to find someone to share it with and spread these Biblical lessons to others.
This is a truly wonderful devotional. In fact, it counts as one of my top favorites. I agree with Ms. Gatz. One of my favorite things is to walk down to the beach, take my Bible, a cup of coffee, sit, watch the waves, and commune with my Savior. I recommend this devotional to everyone.
