One tournament with the power to break the world apart. One team that can hold it all together. All they have to do is win.

The tournament gives normal men and women from around the globe the chance to change the world. All they have to do is win.
But the tournament has a dark history, and if the more brutal teams have their way, it has a dark future ahead of it as well. One team stands in their way, captained by Ellie Willmore, a young woman still trying to write her own story. Ellie has it within her to steer the tournament for the better, but if she ever hopes to succeed, she’ll need to pull off a miracle: unite sworn enemies to beat the best of the best.
This complete box set contains the first three books in the Amazon #1 Best-selling Tournament series: Blue Fall (Book 1), Grey Winter (Book 2), and Black Spring (Book 3).
B. B. Griffith writes best-selling supernatural thrillers. He is the author of the Vanished series, the Tournament series, and the Gordon Pope thrillers. He lives in Denver, CO, where he is often seen sitting on his porch staring off into the distance or wandering to and from local watering holes with his family.
Witness the secrets we couldn’t imagine. Be part of a world that lurks beneath our day to day lives. Be uncomfortable, be enthralled, be appalled at the extremes some will go to for a chance to be crowned “the winner.” Watch the world become mesmerized by what we would as individuals cannot grasp. THE TOURNAMENT TRILOGY by B. B. Griffith is bold, raw and often ruthless, but it does give one something to think about, like how long can I hold on to the edge of my seat? What would compel a person to be part of this chaotic game? Is there a statement to society as a whole in here?
I had the pleasure of reading each book in the trilogy one right after the other and all I can say is what a ride! Brilliant storytelling, characters that do not require that you like them, understand them or root for them. Each player is unique, driven by their own inner demons or sense of justice. Some are driven by fear and the will to survive, but every one of these players will register something on your radar, be it their quirky sense of humor at the most unlikely times or their dark side that can be comprehendible. You might even find yourself amazed at the one odd man out who found something besides his boring life to live or die for, courage!
Once again, B.B. Griffith deals out edge-of-your seat action throughout, be it physical, mental or emotional, this was one thrill ride that will leave readers wondering, what if and quite possibly, why not?

Held once a year, the Tournament is used to settle decisions ranging from global security and military movements to personal vendettas. Three-player teams representing eight countries are granted full immunity for any actions taken during the Tournament. The last team standing is the winner. Good story, but very long since this is a trilogy in one. Minor editing mistakes and not enough backstory bring this down to a three star.
It lost me near the end of book two. I couldn't believe it anymore and it got tedious. I really give it 2.5 stars. The premise is good but the characters weren't developed well in my opinion
Ok, so at first I was a bit doubtful about this series, even more so as I began reading it, I didn’t quiet understand so many stories at once, but then I got more into the story and wow!
I loved this series, seriously, it catches your attention and doesn’t let go.
I got to say the story is about these fights that settle economic and political issues between countries, and rich people with nothing much to so bet on these fights, which sounds a lot like real life, so... there’s that.
Blue Fall: At first I had to go back every few pages - and chapters - to understand what the hell was going on, but when I got the hang of it, I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to know what was next, and was super shocked (even though I’d read the briefs) when Johnnie Northern and Nikkie Hix died, and the mystery of who might’ve killed them.
Grey Fall: This is where the real fun begins, you actually discover how sociopathic and cruel the players of The Tournament can come to be. If I’m honest, I never would have suspected Max as the killer, but that was a nice plot twist as much as a closure for that subplot.
Black Spring: Seriously, finally Black is defeated and Alex Aldbourne is shut up. Yeah, that’s that.
This seriously was an unexpected like, but totally not sorry for getting the series. Now I’m on to reading the final installment to see what’s good.

BLUE. FALL One man on a team is dead, having tried it on himself. The next cycle of the Tournament, the game of chance. Greer has been chosen The Master of Ceremony, notify the teams, let the game begin. Twenty four people would be notified, This deals with human nature, rather bored, too much money and wanting to stir his life up, regardless of the stakes. Not realizing the stakes in most cases is death, thinking they are not accountable. Intriguing and unique plot. GREY WINTER Team.Blue is gone, there have been murders, killers on the loose. Stakes are higher as new players are choose . Secrets,,and they are young and inexperience, causing problems. This go more into the player then the actual war game. Intriguing of knowing what makes then a player. BLACK SPRING We get to know more about the players, what has motivated them. Each is unique as of the country they come from, No limit, and nothing is held back at this underground betting. It is all part of the game. The plot the characters are one of a kind. The author has drawn us in to play, and has mastered the game.
I had not read anything by B.B. Griffith before. The story has a secret war game that the world doesn't know about. High stakes bets are placed on each round. There are 8 teams from around the world. There are no rules. These war games take place in major cities as well as out of the way places. High tech diode bullets mean the players can be brought back to life.
I was a little confused in the very beginning because there are so many characters being introduced. Since they are from different countries the early chapters jump all over the world. Some of the more involved characters get history going back a bit through their childhood. Once they were all introduced then the story flowed just fine.
I enjoyed this book and when I found there is a 4th book in the series I bought it so I could follow until the end.
This trilogy has been one of the best finds for me in the Free Nook section in a long while. Not only was the editing on point (so often lacking in free or reduced self-published e-books), the story line was engaging and original. More a "it could be happening right now" trilogy than a dystopian novel, B.B. Griffith makes you think about how world powers make decisions. It's an excellent, up-tempo read that I recommend. I'm hoping that a big publishing house picks this up and perhaps that it turns into a movie. It is just that good.
I wasn't sure how this would be, but after getting past the various character intros in the first book, it was great. There was plenty of action throughout, but Griffith also developed the characters well. I'm not sure since I don't remember where the break between the 2nd and 3rd books was in the version I read, but toward the end there are two great plot twists (one that's particularly well-done) that I had to idea were coming.
Another type of war, originally intended to replace what we know of war today between nations in a gamesmanship form. I had to read the entire book before I understood that. This is a new genre for me. I might have caught on sooner if I wasn’t so naive to the concept. Great characters. Loved both Team Blues and the triples of Team Silver and and true evil exists in Team Black.
Blue Fall Parts of this remind me of the movie Rat Race. Not that this book is comical, at all. What makes me think of that movie is that in Rat Race, the entire race is set up by a group of bored rich men who come up with ridiculous gambles to entertain themselves. The Tournament is much darker than that and involves 8 teams from around the world who battle against each other, while unknown players with great influence place wagers on the outcome. The books makes allusions to the gladiator games, and it's an accurate comparison. Each team is made up of three members: a captain, a striker, and a sweeper. A draw determines which teams are matched against each other and then there are no more rules. The teams fight each other using guns loaded with diodes which will leave the victim comatose. Once all three members of a team are eliminated, that match is over. But things are changing. The players in the Tournament have vendettas against one another now; some felt that they were humiliated in the previous Tournament and they are out for revenge. This book is really intense and definitely keeps your attention. I can't wait to continue the trilogy.
Grey Winter (Book Two) Ok. So this book was a disappointment. Like so many second books in series, this was a letdown after the first book. Not a lot happened. Seriously, this book was so much shorter than the first and there was almost no action. Almost the entire book was a goose have. I really hope the final part of the trilogy is better.
Black Spring (Book Three) This book was better than the first, but it wasn't nearly as good as the first. I just realized that there's a fourth book to this series, but I will not be reading it. I feel that the third book ended the story well, and also I don't have the fourth book (I "bought" the trilogy one day when it was free). The trilogy wasn't bad, but it was a let down from the first book.
So well done. Very creative story line with memorable characters that draw you into their world. The Tournament is a world wide spectacle of open battle between each country's three-man teams with exceedingly high stakes riding on the result. Jump in and be prepared to duck, as shots are likely to come from anywhere.
So there are some dry spots of growing, learning, character growth, and overall setting the stage of why, what is going to happen. The explanation doesn’t distract from the pace of the story too much, it makes it that much richer. Great writing, great trilogy.
Superb writing that draws you in and wraps you in excitement from the get go. The characters are striking and strong willed in words and deeds and weaved cleverly together. This is a trilogy in words only that comes full circle in true gladitorial fury only to becalm the breast and wait for it resume once more.
This series of books deserves a 5-star rating due to the fact there is never a dull moment. However, the first book was choppy going back and forth between characters and situations. The editing of all three books could have been better. Yes, yes, I would highly recommend this interesting series.
I had such a hard time getting into the books. I read about 1/4 of the book and even then, it felt as if the story was just in background info. I had to stop reading for my own sanity. Good detail, just seemed to take too long to start finding the connection and still seems like the storyline hasn’t yet connected the dots
If you enjoy action, adventure and competition, this book will keep you engaged throughout. Beware, however, for some gut-wrenching twists.
One of the best characteristics in this type of book is unpredictability. The final outcome may not surprise you but the ups and downs along the way will certainly keep you intrigued.
I absolutely loved this series. The suspense, the mind games...absolutely fantastic. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, hankering for me. Great potential for continuity. Reminiscent of the Hunger Games but with a beautiful fresh twist.
A nicely written trilogy that is quite different from the usual novels about war and the consequences of trying to maintain peace against the intference of big business and governments self interest . Keep it up big
For a three book series this was a fast read that is well written and has a great cast of characters. Please if you like movies like the Purge read this it’s well worth your time
A thought provoking concept on how to sort out problems between countries without going to war made for and engrossing and entertaining thriller. The characters made it even better. All in all a great read
This is a great trilogy, and I am a new can of B. B. Griffith! Not only is this an exciting storyline, but it's written in a way that truly gets the readers vested in the characters.
