Sam is in the same sphere as two people from his past, and there are two different endings.

Magnificent Sam Pope
I couldn’t stop reading it but didn’t want it to end. After some teasing by the author who I follow on fb, goodreads and newsletter emails I was also dreading the end thinking it may be the last of Sam Pope, has doing ‘the right thing’ finished him?
Robert Enright is one of the most inspiring authors I know who over the last couple of days brought light back into my life through yet another sensational story. You might wonder why I’m not relaying the story in this review? I’ll leave that to the author who wrote it and the readers who have the pleasure of reading it, they will find there is no words to describe how every chapter is full of suspense and thrills. My adrenaline was pounding through my veins through the concluding chapters. Off the charts good.

Disappointing
As an avid Sam Pope fan I was very disappointed with his latest adventure quite early on, with the fact people would turn on Sam so easily on the say so of a disgraced ex deputy commissioner and also replacing the traitor Wallace with admiral wainwright I thought it was a bit too samey as was Sam's inevitable showdowns with him having the s*** beaten out of him before he suppressed his enemies. But I imagine this to be a blip and will still look forward to Sam's next adventure.

I enjoy the Sam Pope books but I am somewhat puzzled / irritated by one small reoccurrence in all of his novels . Regardless of how bitter his enemies are or how much they hate him and want to end his life they always buy always address him as Sam . This to me makes no sense because such bitter enemies would always address their for foe by his surname at best or more like far more derogatory names but never and I mean never by his Christian name only .
Am I alone in noticing or thinking that. ?? Surely not .

Five Stars
Another great read from start to finish. I have never been disappointed with any of the Sam Pope books. Always lots of action and it is so hard to put the book down. As usual the storyline in the this book was really good. Lots of interesting characters and well worth the read. A big thank you to the author, Robert Enright and from me another well deserved 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank goodness Sam survived
It’s a while since I read Robert Enright’s books about Sam Pope, always full on, fighting for truth and bringing down the bad guys, this last one was a really bad one, a traitor to his country, Sam had been trying to find him for a long time. Power corrupts. Excellent book.

Sam Pope is on a mission - to destroy the evil in place. This has led him to many places around the world but this time he is in London. And the evil is very close to those in power. Very much action-packed. I don't know how he is still standing. It is an exciting read and I loved it. It's a great series. Looking forward to the next one.

I have read every book in the series. Enright stays true to his characters. The bad guys come and go, but you can count on Sam to get the job done. Another page turner book😊

An absolute belter!!
Absolutely loved this latest Sam Pope instalment. As usual with this series, I was gripped from the start. Cracking storyline. Sam Pope is one of my favourite characters. Long live Sam!! Can’t wait for the next book.

Brilliant just Brilliant
Another outstanding book in the Sam Pope series, a True Anti hero who unlike others gets hurt as much as the bad guys! Fast paced plenty of twists and turns leaving you wanting more. Can't wait for the next one!

cracking read
I read my first Sam Pope book in November 2024 as I was changing my job and had time on my hands.
I start a new job tomorrow and I’ve managed to plough through 14 before the end of February 2025.
I’ve only got one left unless there’s more to come!

Possibly the best Sam Pope yet
Just excellent once again.
Great plot,well paced and plenty of action.

Story exciting and easy to follow
The only comments to the author are to use less descriptive adjectives and move the excitement to the forefront of the novel

Sam pope
While I have enjoyed all the series it has become a little tedious that after such gruelling fights he still manages to get up and walk away.

Packed with action and the normal Sam Pope justice, this was a great book that I didn't want to put down.
