Send help..like NOW. I can’t express how INSANE this series is. I can confirm it’s potentially going to be my top read of 2024. If book 3 & 4 is anything like 1 & 2 then please send me some prayers.
I actually took my time reading this & thought it could affect how I felt about it but no, that did NOT happen. The way this story continuously has plot after plot with heart break and power?????
MULTIPLE POV’s from so many characters. I repeat..be prepared. But I love this. All the characters have their own stories & their own way of standing out so it’s 100% needed.
I just can’t express the way this book sent me on a rip ride rocket rollercoaster. The way my jaw DROPPED SEVERAL TIMES & THE LAST 20% OF THE BOOK, or let me say THOSE LAST TWO CHAPTERS🤯🤯
Character growth through out & character development is MASSIVE. You don’t know who you trust and your opinion on characters will change massively throughout the book.
The way the book ended & the things Forest did..wow. That is how you do a book justice👏🏽

I’ve never been so stunned in my life finishing a book. Never in a million universes did I see anything of it coming.

That ending has got me in the gnarliest chokehold and I am not well! The epic fight scenes are graphic and heart racing. The romance is a big bonus to the already captivating plot. You’ll find yourself constantly changing your opinion on different characters. UNAPOLOGETIC FEMALE RAGE. Character arcs, character development, character annihilations; no one is safe and I am not well!!
I fell in love with so many character storylines in this book! Hunter and Kai’s relationship was so well written, I couldn’t help but root for some kind of happy ending for the two of them. Xavier was always such a mystery and the secrets that were told have me losing my mind! Forest and Fallon’s dynamic was constantly touch and go for me in this book which I believe was intentional and added to the suspense. I was constantly on the edge of my seat trying to keep up with all the info that kept being revealed.
This is the kind of series that invigorates my soul. The story requires you to think and stay completely focused. I LOVE when I’m using all my senses while reading. I felt the flesh wounds. I could smell the ash and metallic iron in the air. I could hear the ear piercing screams. I could see the damage caused from war. I could taste the blood. I am not well!

My expectations were on the floor, but this made them look as high as the heavens I was drifting away from Fallon because he was just really different from the first book really went from a bad boy to cringe Simp who really let me down in every department I hate how much world and character building was thrown away with“new information” that just seemed cheap and easy. This book really had potential to be something good but just really dropped the ball like “the lottery end” seemed like a very last-minute idea to keep things interesting. Also the“character development“ is literally just the character changing their personality with forest Fallon Kai and Valerie I’ll be in good examples imagine changing your whole mindset and personality in one day so that’s not very realistic the way Hunter Ray and that one guy got absolutely slaughtered by forest without truly explaining themselves and being framed as evil, even though they didn’t have context to their full actions, surprised me. I totally thought Fallon was gonna come back from the dead, but nope now he is going to be her emotional driving for us to keep her in the fight, but I think he is suspicious because why call her the name of his dead ex-girlfriend? no good reason for sure.

I loved this book series from the start! I couldn’t put it down. The series was so different from other books I’ve been reading and I am hooked! I can’t wait to continue this series. The world building, character development, MAGIC, the relationship with friends family and love and omg the twist and turns I’m freaking obsessed. I NEED THE THIRD BOOK ASAP! The fanart the author has on her IG and TikTok obsession I love fanart and I can’t get enough of them keep them coming please!! ❤️❤️

Whew, okay. Let’s tackle this.
I love the idea of this book.. the magic system, the dystopia, love triangle.. it’s all there. I think it is okay but it could be GREAT. Unfortunately, there were SO MANY grammatical errors, spelling errors, and sentence redundancy. Every. Single. Time.. (okay 90% of the time) if someone was speaking then stopped once they started speaking again there were no quotations.
Towards the end of the book, since it’s fresh in my mind Elyon was speaking to Xavier and every single sentences ended in you two..stop the redundancy please 😖.
Like i said, i think this series has great potential, but it needs someone to comb through and fix all the errors, as well as weed out all the unnecessary portions of the book(this goes for the first book as well).
That said, I will continue the series and i *hope* there is better editing in the future.

Pardon the fvck meeee but what the hell just happened? This ending, it’s like someone turned a switch on. I’m also pretty sad. My emotions are all over the place.
The love I have for this series already, filled with so much betrayal, so many secrets ( the secrets that kept unloading, was torrential downpour)
My favourite part.. the snowball fight! I loved it so much. It was such a serene moment in all the chaos that happened in this. Where they can truly forget all the messed up shit that was happening constantly
The spice was 🌶️ 🌶️
I’m still a team Fallan but I’m finding a soft spot for Xavier, I don’t know why but he’s like a lost puppy looking for his owner. 😂
I cannot wait to read what happens next, thankfully I have book 3 lined up ready to go 🖤

5 ⭐️/5… Wow. This was insane. This author is a mastermind. Every word and sentence she writes has meaning and impact. This book makes you rethink about every experience and interaction in the first book. I haven’t read anything like this in a long time. I NEED the third book OMG. BRB gonna go cry now.

Also. Ich mochte Band 1, aber Band 2 war eine Katastrophe. Und zwar so eine drastische Katastrophe, dass ich absolut null das Verlangen habe, Band 3 und 4 zu lesen.
Zu aller erst, und was mich tatsächlich mehr als erwartet gestört hat, fand ich die grammatikalischen Fehler unheimlich nervig. Ja, es ist normal, dass sowas ab und zu passieren kann. Auch mit Büchern, die einen Verlag haben, aber hier ist das so oft passiert, dass selbst ICH genervt davon war. Unter anderem fehlten super oft die Anführungszeichen der wörtlichen Rede und das verwirrte mich manchmal.
Die andere Sache, die mich echt enttäuscht hat, war die Charakterentwicklung von Forest. In Band 1 fand ich sie noch sympathisch und ich dachte, wow, endlich mal wieder ein FMC, die Rage zeigt. Aber Band 2 war einfach nur noch lächerlich. Sie hat jeden angepöbelt und so stark versucht badass zu wirken, dass ich die Augen verdrehen musste. Auch war sie so oft von sich selbst überzeugt, dass es sie einfach unsympathisch gemacht hat.
Ich glaube unter anderem auch, jedenfalls kommt es mir so vor, dass sie Autorin versucht in manchen Szenen poetisch zu klingen… nun ja.. es hat nicht geklappt, aber dafür hab ich Gänsehaut bekommen!

this book needs a good editor and to figure out how to make the first 90% less BORING! the plot twists at the end were great but there was no narrative arc so the entire thing just felt incredibly untethered. I felt the same in book 1 but i forgave it and made the mistake of thinking that was an intentional plot device! but no, just a book series with a lot of potential in need of a lot of editing (plot and grammatical)!
i think that this could be loved by readers who are new to fantasy and it would make an amazing tv show but not so much for the experienced fantasy reader or those who get irked by grammatical errors.

This is the second book in the order series and it was INSANE! The plot twists… the suspense. I didn’t know what to think, what was real, who to trust.
And that ending. I am pacing!

I picked up the second book immediately after the first and could not put it down. Katerina just has a way with words that sucks you in—the story building, characters, and twists are immaculately executed. And I have a new hardcore book boyfriend crush (readers, if you know, you KNOW)

This book was a PERFECT continuance of book 1. The character development, addition of new characters was perfect for the story and not too overwhelming.

The building of Forest’s powers was perfect, her confusion of Xavier was perfectly portrayed and I was second guessing everything he had done in the first book. The revelation that Forest was not truly Forest and another person brought into their home and everyone’s memories altered 😱 I couldn’t believe it. I cannot wait to see who she was before she was Forest. Elyon was the prophet all along?! I have so many questions that need to be answered! Cannot WAIT for book 3 to be released.
