The very last thing U.S. Marshal Eoghan Sapphire wants is a new partnership. Worse yet, the transfer from Lexington, Kentucky is a civilian. That means it’ll be Eoghan’s responsibility to break him into the I.S.R. and the unique way their particular U.S. Marshals Service unit operates. He decides being a jerk to him and keeping him at arm’s length just might be the way to handle things…until he meets him.

Aristotle Brown isn’t like anyone Eoghan’s ever known before. He’s polite, willing to learn, and most of all, devastatingly handsome. Eoghan’s actually happy they’re thrown into a dangerous situation with a WITSEC protectee the first day his brand-new partner is on the job. Dealing with this particular man will let Eoghan know what Ari Brown’s made of. Will he break under pressure?

Dealing with humans is standard everyday stuff in the U.S. Marshals Service but other non-human species like shifters, other paranormals, and aliens from distant star systems…well, that’s where things promise to get downright interesting. Their second day on the job is no different. And he’s not prepared for Ari’s cool-headed composure when he comes face to face with an example of everything the I.S.R. deals with every day.

To top it all off, the marshal sent to back the two men up when things get dicey in Griffith Park isn’t as reliable as Eoghan had hoped. The impulses of the guy nearly get them all killed but fortunately, Ari performs like a dream, helping extract everyone when things go from bad to worse. Eoghan is sure of a couple of things…acting as this man’s training officer isn’t going to be such a struggle after all, and keeping his hands off him is going to be the hardest part about this assignment.

This wasn’t a bad book but it just dragged for me. There is so much information given and the story didn’t move forward at a good pace being bogged down with all the creatures and background given constantly. This seems like it will be an interesting series and if you are really into aliens and different creatures I think you may enjoy it.

I’m a little sad tbh, the premise of this book was so good but I just couldn’t vibe with it at all. I’ve only read 2 others books from this author but I think this may be my last at least for a while as none of them have really blown me away.

I don’t want to say the writing style is immature but it’s just not up to the standard I maybe expect? I don’t want to come here and totally degrade the author or her work and I did find this book quite funny at times, so please don’t let what I’ve said deter you from reading this (if ur seeing this review) because it was a good book just not for me!

I feel this book was just average. I liked the idea of "Men in Black" but gay with a bit of paranormal thrown in exciting and fun. But I feel it fell far off the mark. The characters were interesting enough, but their relationship moved far too fast for me and the cases did, too. It was honestly a jumbled mess at times and I wish there was a more focused idea than there was. I would have preferred one case spanning the book rather than several smaller ones. Sigh. Maybe it's just new trope, new series thing? Hopefully the next one was better.

DNF at 41%.

The paranormal aspect of the story didn't work for me. It was silly. The whole plot made me think of Men in Black movie but with gay MCs and more cringe PNR creatures. It was not good. I guess I am putting this author on my No list.

They Want to Bee-Lieve

Tooth and Nail
Interspecies Response Book 1
Author: Patricia Logan

US Marshall and Agent for the I.S.R. Unit (think Men in Black meets Supernatural TV series), Eoghan Sapphire, has been chasing off new partners for months after his last partner Gladys died in a car wreck.
He's still grieving, but his new partner Ari (Aristotle) Brown, is his last chance at getting his act together.
The thing is, Ari is a newbie. He might be an experienced Marshall, but he has no idea that aliens, vampires, shifters and faeries exist, living on separate reservations set up by Teddy Roosevelt's team. He's in for a shock - or ten - when he encounters his first mission - a man-sized bee shifter who's phobic of anything honeycomb shaped and has taken hostages in the midst of a panic attack.
And yes, it's as funny as it sounds.
Yet Ari takes it all in his stride, escorting the panicked bee out of the building he's in.
Derwin the bee - delighted to see my surname used here as a fun character - is in the supernatural equivalent of witness protection as his queen refuses to let him go despite the fact of his phobia and he's gay and in a relationship with a fly shifter. Yes, you read that right.
As well as the weird, and often dangerous missions the new partners have during their first week together, there's brimming attraction between the two men as well as a real friendship and ability to work together.
Added to this is a b plot suggesting some nefarious goings on within the government.
There's some great characters in this, including the female Chief, Eoghan's older gay landlords, the car tech support guys, Eoghan's adorable cat Bear, and vampire royalty.
Things definitely get heated between the men and the scenes involving them and lacy underwear are hot stuff.
Mostly though I love that they're a mixed race couple, and they're also incredibly sweet with each other.
There's plenty of shenanigans with all of the cases and a few times I laughed out loud.
I'm very much looking forward to book two.

Patricia Logan has been a favorite author of mine for a while. Her characters and the world she builds are strong, resilient and full of personality. "Tooth and Nail" is no exception. It is a wild and wacky ride into the supernatural and alien hidden world. I love how this is the same world as her other books and just another aspect of it. One of the MCs has a role in one of the previous FBI FIles series books and it is great to see him have his own series and watch as he's introduced to the ISR Department of the US Marshalls.

There is a lot that goes on in this book and there is an underlying mystery that will progress as the series moves along. The romance part of the book is sweet and at the moment more attraction and physical then affection and love. It doesn't feel very developed but that is because this is book 1 and there are so many other things that happen. Also, this all takes place in a week, maybe less. There really hasn't been time for the characters to really form a relationship since Ari just started at ISR and he and Eoghan have been going non stop from day 1. That being said, the beginning is there for a strong relationship and HEA and I can't wait to see it develop and learn more about the cases handled by ISR.

Aliens, Vampires And Shifters...Oh My!!

So here we are again at the start of another new series by this always entertaining author. This time out we have the very familiar law enforcement angle (here it's the marshals) blended perfectly with a wonderfully wacky paranormal world.

We first met Aristotle Brown in the author's last series, and boy am I glad he appeared to be chatty enough that he needed his own books. The decision to partner him in a new city in a new to him division of the US Marshals with Eoghan Sapphire was absolutely inspired! Eoghan has been there and seen it all on the job: chased down vampires, faced down aliens but he's not felt the instant attraction and possessiveness he feels for his new partner. Yes, it's a slow burn between Ari and Eoghan, but then my goodness does it burn...scorching! I can genuinely see these characters becoming another of my favourite book couples.

The world building is fantastic in every sense of the word - I love the Men In Black vibe and the colourful cast of side characters; especially where there a some surprises! For me, Tooth And Nail gives every indication of setting us up for a wild ride over the course of the series. There are elements of Eoghan and Ari's investigations that are wrapped up nicely, but there are also elements that are unresolved...and I can't wait for more from the Interspecies Response guys. 5*

As a fan of Patricia Logan's work, I was eagerly anticipating the release of this book, and I wasn't disappointed. The premise is intriguing, and both main characters, Ari and Eoghan, are instantly likable.

Logan's world-building is commendable, but it can feel a bit overwhelming at times. There's a lot to take in, both for Ari and the reader, which creates a steep learning curve. The pace is fast, with a whirlwind of events unfolding, leaving little room for characters or readers to catch their breath.

Spanning just a few days, the story throws Ari and Eoghan into four different cases involving various paranormal and alien beings. While exciting, this abundance of action and information can feel disjointed, making it challenging to fully immerse oneself in the narrative.

One aspect that struck me was Ari's sudden immersion into the paranormal world on his first day on the job, without adequate training or prior knowledge. This expectation for him to act as if he's already an experienced agent felt somewhat unrealistic.

Conversations between Eoghan and Ari occasionally veer off track, disrupting the flow of dialogue. Additionally, the forced conflict between them, which leads to the first steps in their romance, felt unnecessary and didn't add much to the story or their characterization.

While I personally missed a dual point of view for the story (Ari's POV only appears in the last chapter), this is more of a personal preference than a critique.

Overall, the book serves as a solid introduction to the series, featuring likable characters and an intriguing world. While it does have some minor issues, I'm hopeful that they'll be addressed in future instalments.

It is always a delight to have a new series from Patricia Logan and this is no different. US Marshalls I.S.R has that american alphabet agency energy but with the entertainment and interest of include the paranormal and beings from space.
Eoghan has driven off several possible new partners since losing his a couple of years ago. Now he's Been given the ultimatum of accepting this last person or having to leave. Ari is a surprise, and not just that he is a civilian, completely oblivious to the world that he is about to walk into. There is clearly attraction on both sides but first, Ari needs to be guided through a whole encyclopedia of information on what they could walk into and interact with on a daily basis; your standard vampires and werewolves but also space faeries and albats (alien bats). The team seems like a good one that I am looking forward to getting to know better and we have a story arc that seems like it will get very interesting.
The romance side of things is very slow burn in relation to the book but actually quite quick in relation to how long they know each other. The book takes place over only a couple of days with a lot for the new partners to deal with but also the unexpected attraction that they feel towards each other. This part felt a little rushed to me considering how long they know each other, even with thoughts of love. The story finishes on a HFN with a good place for the team to move on from. I'm interested in the way that the author is writing the series. This book is from Eoghan's POV with the final chapter in Ari's and then it will switch in book two.
I really enjoyed this as it's another great investigator style series from the author with the added bonus of aliens and paranormals. It definitely has gay Men in Black vibes and I am here for that.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Patricia Logan is one of the authors whose series I absolutely love to read and even more so to listen to. A new series? A must read!
I was in the mood for a mystery that also included some of the protagonists' love lives. Combine that with action and a paranormal world and I was hooked.
The author's writing style was wonderful as always and once I started reading, it didn't take very long before I was immersed in the world of Eoghan and Ari.
Eoghan Saphhire is a U.S. Marshal in a special forces unit. The only reason he's not too thrilled with his new partner is because he's a civilian and has no idea what the Special Forces are up against. I really liked Aristotle Brown right from the start and Eoghan thinks he's really good-looking.
I loved the world-building, which the author did a great job of creating. As a reader, you can also feel the chemistry between the two main protagonists. The romantic part develops quite quickly, but it is not absolutely in the foreground. The characters' emotions come across clearly and of course there is plenty of action.
For me, it was a great start to the new series and I'm already looking forward to the next volume!

This was a bit of a wild ride, with Logan’s signature excellence when writing law enforcement mixed with some truly off the wall supernatural and alien elements. This story truly is MIB with a slow burn mm romance, complete with sass, stoicism, and ridiculous seriousness. The story was definitely good, but some elements threw me a bit.

I love Patricia Logan and she had me when Aristotle Brown was given Torchwood DVDs for homework and it was mentioned that an alien wrote for that show and that aliens were writing Dr Who and I believe it! Derwin was so sweet and they were so kind to him and albats trying to kill Ralphie and his kin were horrible and glad they were relocated. The space fairies were so disgusting and knowing they couldn't be trusted I was so glad that Eoghan and Ari were able to get away and happy that the fairies will be leaving Earth. The surprise about Bear and Eoghan's landlords was delightful and now I have to wait until May to find out who is the mole in the agency.

What a ride! These two guys are so cute and hot together and I need the next book asap!

First and foremost, this is a slow-burn paranormal romance (so far HFN) with one central plot line (ending on a cliffhanger, but nothing too intense) that is also accompanied by other "episodic" plot lines. I consider this a slow burn because the men get intimate in the book's second half, but it is also not a slow burn because it only takes days for them to engage in any intimacy. And once they got intimate. Oh wow. They are so hot and steamy. And just a tiny bit kinky.

I admit that I loved the MCs the most. Ari is such a sweetheart but also has his own moral compass and is not afraid to show it. Eoghan is down bad from the get-go, but he has to be the mentor and voice of reason and follow the rules - so he holds his attraction back. They matched together very well. Other side characters were unique and loveable (the revelations at the end? I cannot wait to see how it will turn out).

The episodes where the men deal with multiple paranormal species and situations were often quite funny. And I was unsure if it was supposed to be that way because the book's tone is quite serious overall. Yet I think it was well-balanced. Some names threw me off a bit, but nothing too major.

There are lots of sharing stories and revealing histories of species but also relationships. And I loved when Ari and Eoghan shared these quiet, unhurried moments and talked.

This was my first book by the author, and definitely not the last!

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews - thank youuuu - and this is my honest review.

I am already hooked on Ari and Eoghan. I see snapping up each book and devouring them in one sitting. I love the whole concept of this series. Think Men in Black and Supernatural combined with the US Marshals. I LOVE IT! This has all the spice, heat, and action of Patricia Logan’s other books. Her characters just keep me coming back for more. You have to read this one if you like your romance sprinkled liberally with suspense. Very well written!

This is the first in a new series, paranormal law enforcement, new partner/co-workers. Eoghan has been a US Marshal in the I.S.R. for a while but without a partner since his last one passed away. His boss assigns him a new one, also a US Marshal but from the 'civilian' branch and they're thrown right into the thick of things on his very first day in the job.

Ari is new to Los Angeles, new to the paranormal world and it's a baptism of fire for him. There's an instant spark between him and Eoghan, although it's a slow build to when they do actually get together. I liked the world building, and the build of the relationship between the two, it felt natural and I liked they were building a friendship/partnership too before becoming romantically involved. There's a lot going on in this story, and I think a lot more to come, there were more than one threads left dangling at the end, and I'd love to see how these are resolved.

For the first in a series, it sets things out well, with one or two surprises along the way and I can't wait for more from this world.

Ari and Eoghan

This book was a pretty fun take on MIB. Eoghan and Ari are US Marshals who deal with the strange and mysterious alien and paranormal population. I really enjoyed the story but maybe because it is the first in the series, there just seemed to be so much explaining. There was so much world building to read or description that it seemed there wasn't a whole lot of action. It felt like it dragged in parts because I was reading explanations instead of actions. That said, I'm hoping the next book has more action with strange characters.

So overall I felt the book was good and give it 3.5 stars.

I’m not sure if it was the dialogue or the characters but I really struggled with this book. I don’t think it needed to be as long as it was and the conversations between the MCs were repetitive and stilted. I was excited for what I’d thought would be an interesting and action/romance filled plot, but this really didn’t hit that mark. 🤷‍♀️

DNF @ 79% bc I just could be bothered.

Hmmm... not one for me. I don't mind a bit of paranormal/vampires every now and then but there was sooo much in this that I got a little lost in it and this goes on my DNF list. If that genre is your jam then this is PERFECT for you! It's just not perfect for me (at least I tried!)

I really liked the first part of this book! It was going along nicely... then the Space fairies hit the pages, and... yeah........ totally lost me. I felt like after that it was the same things over and over, and the story was completely convoluted and contradictory at times.

So in some ways this is a typical Patricia Logan novel (bad A$$ ex-military men navigating into WitSec) which is a good thing. Patricia knows how to write strong military/govt agent men. In some others it's something more and by more I mean Aliens, Supernaturals, Paranormals, etc.. In this it's Patricia's excellent stories with that extra oh yeah!

Deputy Marshal Eoghan is a seasoned member in the Interspecies Response Team. He excels at running off new partners since his late partner Gladys died. He's also dealing with stuff in his personal life or maybe we should say not dealing with it? His boss Chief Deputy Marshal Priest tells him he's getting a new partner and he's going to like it or else. In steps Aristotle, call me Ari, from the Kentucky office of the US Marshall Service. He's an excellent person to integrate into IRT. He keeps a cool head in emergencies. He's up for the challenge of Eoghan and anything he can throw at him (that is until he sees Derwin). Now he knows he has a lot to learn.

This is a really good story that has a little of everything. Romance, Fantasy, Paranormal, Mystery and Drama. Eoghan and Ari have a lot in common and they have good chemistry, on and off the job. The world and character building is good. There is a lot of info dump, as this is a new series and lots of things to offer; so there were a couple of times the book slowed down a little in momentum while said info dumping was going on, but I think it's needed to have a good foundation for further books to build on. There's lots of interesting new characters/creatures introduced. The book starts with a vampire capture; which I liked as they're my favorite paranormal to read about. This is the character that I think will be the basis for the following books; at least a few. Then we had Derwin and Sheldon which are awesome new characters (I'm not saying but I think you'll like them). Alien bats, Bear was the cutest surprise for me, Rick & Dick, Wordy, Al and Ted are all characters I immediately liked. Dr. Patterson who sounds just like me, except she's a doctor and I'm just a nurse! LOL!! I didn't like Chief Deputy Priest even at the end when she was mellowing. She's kind of harsh but I think she needs to be for what's to come. Didn't like Titania, Oberon and Kellen and I don't think I'm supposed to. Wick is a little bit of a mystery right now, we'll see where he ends up. I loved the Captain Jack Sparrow reference. I could go on and on. There's lots here to love and I'm glad I was here for it. I'm excited to see where Patricia takes the storyline and what new paranormal/fantasy characters she comes up with. I highly recommend this book and Patricia's other books as well.

US Marshalls searching for fugitives but of a paranormal order. We get to see Ari - whom we met in FBI Files #5 - who moved to LA, after encouraged by Max (from FBI Files) as a food change. Eoghan is an agent for the ISR office and Ari’s new partner.
The one thing I loved was the mention of Doctor Who and Torchwood, with Captain Jack Harkness fighting true-to-life aliens.
The premise is interesting but I couldn’t help noticing the many parallels between Ari and Eoghan with Max and Leo.
- Both have agent new in town who needs a new place to stay (Leo was looking for a place and Ari was in a bad neighborhood).
- Both Ari and Leo lack field experience in their agencies despite their solid background.
- Both couples talk about them being gay over the first lunch/dinner with their new partners. The scene when they both mention they’re gay is almost the same scene with Max and Leo.
- Both couples hook up within seconds of being in their new place, ahead with calling each other “baby” or similar endearing names.

I liked the new characters, especially Wordy and Bear. Finding out your cat and your neighbours are shifters after living in their place for years when it’s your job knowing about them is quite ironic. Chief Priest is not a very unlikeable character when you know SAC Snow and SAC Sarah from the other series. She is rude and abrupt with a new agent who didn’t know a single thing about paranormals hours before. She might have a soft spot for them as we see in the end of the book but still doesn’t make her nice. Kellen is an all-time detestable ex and I hope he doesn’t bring trouble for the new couple. Nobody needs drama from the ex who happens to be a co-worker.
Considering that Ari knows Max from the other series, I wonder why he didn’t ask the FBI agent for suggestions on places to rent or if they will meet each other sometime in the series, considering that Max and Leo’s world has no paranormals lurking around.
I missed the dual POV and feel it would add to the story seeing things under Ari as he is new to the world.

🎧Narrated Kevin Earlywine and Declan Winters, I read along with the ebook that I also purchased. The first half to chapter 20 is voiced by Kevin, which Mr Winters vocals continue after with Aristotle’s character.

Eoghan Sapphire (pronounced as Owen) was in the middle of a mission to capture his vampire creature as he worked alone despite his boss’s attempts to pair him up with someone.
Aristotle was to be his new work partner who had no idea about the paranormal world he was about to enter. Yeah I had to laugh about Ari’s reaction to his new world.

Its not long before they are amongst the dramas of a siege with a 🐝 shifter, and then a vampire king mystery with more to follow.
The story progresses which the author had a fantastic imagination for the characters. The humour is included as per norm of the authors works. Both characters get along great with teasing.
This book has a Supernatural cross with the Men in Black shows vibe happening as the author has referenced throughout the story.
A forbidden work/ relationship line is broken as an attraction begins which we hear from Sapphire’s and then Ari’s pov.

In true form of the authors novels, there is intrigue of a mystery to flush out the traitors in the organization and save the vampire people from death but that was only a small part of the story. Dangers come up with all sorts of paranormal creatures with all their information, that maybe went overboard in details which in some places I forwarded.

I enjoyed the story but I think I would've loved it if it had only one mystery to clear up instead of lots of mini storytelling featured. The progression of the characters falling for each other was at a good speed much like Ms Logan’s other books. Sexy scenes and their chemistry are hot as the build a relationship together. I’ve read a number of the authors paranormal stories, but I think I prefer the human detective novels instead. I loved the dual POVs narrated vocals in this which are a 5 star rating, the story I’ll give it a 3.5 star for their chemistries together.

A unique and scarily plausible premise

A US Marshal transfers from his office in Lexington Kentucky to another office in California. When he arrives he is met I. The parking lot by his new boss and new partner and gets a strange and vague partial tour. Then they meet in the Chief’s office and Ari finds out he’s transferred to an office charged with doing the Marshal’s job, but for supernatural beings and aliens. His new partner, Eoghan, has been working solo which is not allowed and driving off new partners since his long time partner died the year before. This new partner is his last chance.

As the new partners navigate some interesting call outs and get a sense of each other we learn about this world which differs quite a bit from existing PNR/Fantasy mythology. It’s an interesting premise and I’ve got to say, it’s entirely believable to me that our government would have secret agencies to deal with “others.” It’s kind of a Men in Black premise where citizen encounters with “others” are “cleansed.”

The growth of the relationship is sweet in a “we really shouldn’t do this, oh yup we’re gonna do this” way. It seems to an overarching story that’s going to stretch through the series while a series of shorter encounters in each book tell us more about this world.

It was a fun read but I still don’t feel like I really know the MCs yet. Hopefully that will I,prove with book two.

Alien bats! Vampires! Space faeries! Honeybee shifters!

These are just some of the crazy paranormal and sci-fi characters who feature in this new series of Patricia Logan. As usual, and what I enjoy with Logan’s books is a series that revolves around the same couple so we get to see them deepen their connection as they continue to kick bad guy butt out in the field! Aristotle (Ari) Brown is a familiar face - we were introduced to him in the FBI Files series - and he has transferred from Kentucky to LA and been introduced to a world he had no idea existed before his first day with the ISR.

There is a LOT going on in this book as Logan sets the stage which left me a little whiplashed at times. I feel the book could have done with less or been longer so I had more time to get acquainted with this world. It definitely interested me however and I will be jumping into the next one to enjoy the journey Logan is going to take us on. I love how this carefully concealed paranormal world is set alongside Logan’s other series. I would freak out so badly if Jarrett and Thayne were introduced to the knowledge of all the craziness happening around them they have absolutely zero idea about. I can only imagine what new wild things Jarrett would get himself into.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Strange doesn't begin to describe this world... 4.5 stars
When Ari starts his new job with the US Marshalls, he may find it a little strange that the entrance to his new office is in the middle of an observatory, but it turns out that is only the beginning... Shocker 1: paranormals exist, shocker 2: aliens too, shocker 3: the US government knows about it and has a secret department at the US Marshalls that deals with any disturbances involving paranormals or aliens. Think of a US Marshalls version of Men in Black with their own Q.
This is a paranormal law enforcement romance set in LA (no connection to other series). Patricia Logan has spent a lot of time building both the world and the characters and it pays off. The characters are likeable and I loved that this paranormal/alien world is very different from similar stories. The romance part develops quickly, is clearly present and graphic, but it does not dominate the story. The characters show a lot of emotions with some angst mixed in. The angst is more than I expected for two law enforcement officers, but it does make them more human. The story is action-packed with a good dose of suspense and a series cliffhanger. All in all, a great start to this new series and I will definitely read the next one.
I voluntarily decided to write this review based on an ARC. This review reflects my honest opinion.

Eoghan (sounds like Owen) is a US Marshal. He has a very interesting job dealing with non human species and space aliens, and to him it’s an everyday, common occurrence. Vampires and giant honey bees are all in a days work. Aristotle (Ari) is brand new to this branch of the Marshals. Shock and awe become commonplace very quickly.

Man, I fell in love with these guys very rapidly. I know I say it every time the author introduces us to new partners but I really, really mean it here. Ari has to be one of the most laidback characters she’s ever written. Accepting the unbelievable and bizarre with aplomb and a surprising wit. Their insta chemistry was fun to read about. Coffee was their lifeline and their give and take was funny and sweet.

The author excels at putting her characters in harms way and finding creative ways out of it. The supporting cast of characters have unusual job skills the stood the whole agency in good stead. The authors books have women in strong leadership rolls and that follows through in this book. Their boss is definitely in charge but gives her people moments to make their learning lessons an unforgettable experience.

I’m so looking forward to learning the truths that the Agency keeps hiding.

I'd give this 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

I thought that the idea behind this book was really interesting and I liked both Ari and Eoghan as characters. They had good chemistry and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where things go for them. Bear was also such a surprising (and adorable) character!

The world building was actually quite intense; it felt like a massive learning curve and, although it was definitely interesting, for me I think there were just a few too many stories from Eoghan in order to describe the world. There was plenty of action but I didn't feel that there was one particular case that they dug their teeth into and stuck with until the end. Things were either quickly solved, left hanging (hopefully to be returned to) or are clearly part of the wider story arc to come. All the jumping about just didn't help me to sink into the story. I did like the glimpses of secondary characters so I hope we come back to those and learn more about each of them. It's a HFN ending for Ari and Eoghan so I'll be reading book 2 when it releases to see how things develop with them. I've been left with quite a few questions so fingers crossed book 2 will settle some of these for me.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
