This series continues to be an absolute gem - it's a guranteed mood booster. This book is especially epic, with high stakes that turn the characters' world upside down in an apocalyptic scenario. As they band together with a wild solution, the expanding friend group adds even more depth to the story.
Our main character remains a standout with her endearing personality and common sense approach. The sweet romance woven throughout adds a cosy touch.
While the ending brings a sense of happiness, it left me wanting more. I felt it could have been more developed, as it didn’t quite deliver the ultimate happily ever after I was hoping for. Nevertheless, it's another delightful addition to the series, promising more adventures and excitement ahead.
A wonderful finale to this trilogy that combines cozy mystery, urban fantasy and paranormal romance flawlessly. Also, pirates, because why not pirates? This book seemed a bit more fast paced and action packed than the previous ones, but did not lack in storytelling at all as a result. I was sad when it ended as I really want to read more in this world. I received a copy of this book for free and am leaving a review voluntarily.
I finished this book, and, like I always say, I will really miss these characters. Maeve and Ben became a couple under unique circumstances and stressful family issues. This series ender does such a great job at wrapping up all the loose ends…except maybe a teeny, tiny one, so much that I am hoping there will be more with these characters with that itty bitty thread. LOL! Such a fun series, and I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
**Sigh** such a great ending for this fabulous series. I won’t go into detail because I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but this book is action packed, and with the curses bearing down, our heroes have to make some tough choices that lead them down different paths! Definitely a page turner, definitely a good book, definitely a HEA!
As I embark on book 3 in this fabulous series, I can't help but wonder, could things get any worse for Maeve and Ben? Well, yes... Not only are they still locked under a barrier the phoenix erected, the food supplies are diminishing all to quickly, the curse is still in full force, and both Arrowood's and Everhart's are falling prey to a disease from where there is no return.
So, Izzy is in prison, where she should be after WHAT she did and then drops a bombshell on Maeve! Like, what the heck? But she's put a kernel of doubt as well as hope in Maeve, so Maeve reaches out to the mermaids for aid, after the phoenix unceremoniously evicted her from the forest once more! The despair she and her friends feel has taken on even more urgency now than many are falling to the illness. Oh glory, the hopelessness is so palpable, even my stomach has dropped! Especially when....no, can't tell you but GEEZ did my heart stop for a few seconds! In fact, I swear I could hear my heart in my ears throughout this book! The pounding abating slightly in beautiful tender moments and picking up like a galloping horse the rest of the time! SO much drama and tension! I ABSOLUTELY loved how fully I sunk into the story, how much these characters drew out of me! Yeah, you'll only understand once you've read it....
When a sassy MC decided to throw caution to the wind, you're GUARANTEED a read that will have you going through hoops with her! Or portals... yeah, a VERY daring plan to take but with EVERYTHING on the line, heck, I was yelling, GO MAEVE!!! A Phoenix, a curse or two, a forbidden love, secrets unveiled, fabulous action, are a few of thrilling events that ubfolded! All the characters resonate with me as they propelled me on a whirlwind of a journey, fighting pirates, rehashing the past, heck, fighting to make things right! I simply adore the characters and the plot, nevermind the storytelling which is outstanding! Kira and Allison are the most loyal, best of friends a gal could wish for and oh glory, the banter! THAT was fantabulous!!! Add in the dreamy but forbidden love interest, Ben, and you are hooked!
I loved the pacing and the world Ms Wylor-Owen concocts, a different universe to sink myself in, so many exceptionally humourous moments and so many excellent twists. I was cheering them on, I was literally sitting at the edge of my seat at times, I was si engrossed the world I was in disappeared..... I entered a world of sheer magic and I didn't want to let go! This author took me places so exciting I truly was heartbroken to have reached the end of this series, VERY satisfying but sad...I couldn't imagine a more fitting ending than this! Superb!
A great conclusion to the Moonlight Mermaid series! Maeve and Ben are still stuck on Dusk as the supplies begin to dwindle. But now, not only are they stuck, people are getting a mysterious disease and dying. Maeve and Ben must come up with a plan to save the island from complete destruction. After visiting Isadora under threats of blackmail, she is given an idea that she eventually just can't ignore. With the help of the their friends, they embark on an adventure through portals to the past to try to fix the present. There are so many emotional moments in this book as they travel to different times. (No spoilers from me!) And they learn valuable information about the themselves as they travel as well. Secrets are revealed and powers are discovered. And they also get to deal with a ship full of obnoxious pirates as well! But with Maeve around, there isa nothing that they can't handle! I love how she just doesn't take crap from anyone! And the trust that they develop is amazing! Even with Adrian! I have to say, I was definitely surprised by the ending, but after the explanation it was like a palm slap to my forehead! It was definitely a wonderful HEA for Ben and Maeve. There were some questions left unanswered and I'm hoping that means that there may be more books later!
Curses just suck. After the events of the last book things are looking bleak. The island is locked, there is disease spreading, and everyone (and I mean everyone) is pissed with the feuding families. Maeve and her friends are desperate to fix the mess that was created. They try so many things but every idea just seems to come up short. However, one final desperate attempt is made after her cousin gives a cryptic clue. Now it's a race against time to break the curses that have bound them.
I'm leaving so much meat out of this review because I really don't want to spoil the surprises. It was a unique way to handle the situation and it was handled so well. Sometimes when books use this idea it makes me cringe but Rosie wrote this concept so well that I wish we got to explore it more. I enjoyed all the characters but the side characters had life of their own. Aiden was a great protective brother, he comes off as grumpy and full of FOMO but it's for reasons. Kira is Kira which is always fun. And Ali is still bitter from the last book so it's interesting to see the bubbly, optimistic character work through these events. We get a satisfying conclusion to the book and series as a whole with enough intrigue left over for more stories. I truly hope we see more of these characters, they were fun and realistic and I just loved the concept of real world application of magic.
In this latest installment, what was once a single curse has now multiplied into three, plunging the isle into chaos and starvation. The Everhearts and Arrowoods face heightened curses thanks to Maeve's cousin, while the forest remains inaccessible to visitors. It's up to Maeve, Ben, and their friends to piece together the mystery and save the island.
The story brims with portals, pirates, mermaids, time travel, curses, sickness, and hope, culminating in an amazing conclusion. Each character, including the side characters, is vividly brought to life. Aiden, the protective brother, stands out with his grumpy demeanor and FOMO, both justified by his deeper motivations.
This is my favorite book in the series, bursting with action, curses, feuds, and love. Watching Maeve and Ben tackle the phoenix’s curse and embark on their adventures was truly enjoyable. The ending was a fantastic surprise I never saw coming!.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve eagerly anticipated this third instalment of Maeve and Ben’s story, waiting to find out if/how they would break the curse on their families, and how they can save their island and all who live on it. Well I was certainly not left disappointed by the nail biting events!
At the start of this book, we already know that the island is under the curse of the Phoenix, whose egg was stolen. The gang do their best, but cannot find a way to break the curse, until there is news of a pirate ship that might provide a way to travel in time.
There is so much resting on Maeve, Ben and their friends shoulders. Bravery, trust, understanding and magical talents combine in an action packed race to save the island…and maybe their families too.
This book answers many questions from the previous two and leaves you with a great sense of satisfaction…even if you may’ve bitten your fingernails down along the way!
This book is the final installment in The Moonlight Mermaid series. Maeve and Ben are hard at work trying to break the phoenix's curse on the island. It will take all of their strength and resolve, and that of their friends, to solve the puzzle. I really enjoyed how this series balanced romantasy and mystery. There's usually a villain to defeat in any good fantasy novel, but each of these books had their own problems to work out, even though they're interconnected. The main characters had to hide their relationship from their feuding families, knowing the kind of issues that would arise if their families discovered their secret. As they spent more time together, it became harder to sneak around, and even harder to separate. The only thing that kept them going was the need to help the people they loved. It took me a little bit to figure out how they'd break the curse, and I shared in their excitement when they pulled it off. I felt that it was a perfect ending to a great series.
*I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
Thankfully I was able to read this before release because the first two books certainly had my undivided attention and couldn’t wait to read the conclusion. I was definitely not disappointed and read it all in one sitting. I highly recommend the entire series.
Maeve and crew are back to solve the problem caused by the theft and death of the Phoenix egg.
The town has been under the dome of the Phoenix magic long enough that they are running out of supplies. To make matters worse, there is an illness going around that is fatal, and family members from both warring sides are starting to get ill. Because of the curse, if one of them dies, the entire clan goes with them.
This sets Maeve and her friends on a quest to the mermaids, under the sea, and through time to find a solution before it's too late!
This is a great conclusion to the series. I love the ending and how the author finds a convoluted and exciting solution to the all of the issues. You have to read to find out what happens!
Highly recommend to lovers of Romeo and Juliet retellings, mermaids, pirates, and HEAs!
What a great 3rd book. The action is spot on, the need to turn the page and keep on reading is real. Ben and Maeve are stuck and the curse is still there. Will there be a hea? Yeah! Because we've got Maeve! I really thought this series was a perfect cosy read, and I'd happily reread the books again. You've got everything you want in these books and no end of action. I was a lucky lady and snagged a ARC, and really wanted to share my review. Rosie done us proud and I really do hope there will be alot move from this talented author, because we need authors like her to spoil us reader with books that keep you hooked no matter what happens. I totally recommend this series and do think you'll miss out on a lot of fun. The characters and what they go through and how they join forces to fight the same batter together.
I so enjoyed this series and am so sad to see it finished.
The Arrowood/Everheart curse has now effected the entire island, because the phoenix enclosed the entire island with no way off or on. No supplies - nothing. Food etc was getting scarce and everyone has turned against the two families.
The two lovebirds (Maeve Arrowood and Ben Everheart) realise that they were the ones to break this recent curse - probably by breaking the family curse. With the help of the colony of mermaids, they find a way to time travel and hopefully fix things. They encounter past family members, pirates and even former versions of themselves.
This is a fantastic twisted and exciting tale.

Surprising end of this trilogy. It has a bit of an open ending with hints of HEA, what delighted me. I cannot describe what happens in this book for that would severely spoil everything, but what a surprises come to life! It all leaves room for some other stories about Dusk and Maeve and Ben. Not all answers are given and that makes it more appealing to me. I liked the fact that this part of the trilogy was not about the feud between the two families but more about the island as a whole, the different relationships developing and the curses been thrown around there as if it is normal. That phoenix is some vindictive bird, truly terrifying. The plot was surpising and not expected at all, also funny and well thought out.

Now that the Island has been cursed, the two young members of the feuding families set out to break the curse. A sickness is taking a member of the family and once they die, the whole family dies. This new challenge sends them into a very new and dangerous journey. A cursed sunken ship, time travel, discovery of some family secrets made this an awesome adventure and great read. Being a mermaid will be crucial for this journey, her other friends will also help. Her boyfriend, with his powers, his brother, her Druid friend and her elfin friend will also join in to save the island and their families. This was a awesome adventure.

This wrapped up the storyline for Maeve and Ben and their family curse. It ends on a happily for now.
It felt a bit rushed at the end for me I would have liked to have spent more time with the families adapting to not being cursed and how they are dealing with the relationship between Maeve and Ben.
I felt there was a lot of potential here for more storylines with the characters and hope we get some more stories in this world.
This one took loads of unexpected twists and turns and solved the storyline in a very different way than I expected, it was very entertaining and a lot of fun.
The Phoenix's curse is killing the island residents. It is only a matter of time before it kills one of the Everharts of Arrowoods. At that point, Isadora's curse will kill the remaining members of both families. Ben, Maeve, and their friends desperately search for a way to break both curses. Failures are eroding their hope and they have time for only one last desperate attempt.
I'm sad to see this series coming to an end, but what a perfect ending. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
What a wonderful ending to a terrific mermaid series! I enjoyed all three books. Loved all the characters. The premise for the story line was great as well. You will never guess what our heroes had to do in this book. I would never have guessed. So if you thought lots of twists and turns must have happened, you would be correct. My only complaint would be if she didn't continue the story instead of it all ending here. I loved the people and story to much! Soooo Rosie, can you write another one? I'd start it right away! Kathy
Geez, what a dramatic, heart pounding, edge of your seat (sadly) series ending.
It's got a curse that needs broken, a dome that needs dispelled, death and forbidden love. How does it all end?? With twists and turns you never see coming.
From page one, you want stop reading until you're done with the whole book. It's that well written.
I highly recommend this book plus I recommend starting at book #1. One click worthy wherever you buy.
With the conclusion to Maeve and Ben's journey to break the curse on their families and the town, danger awaits as well as a pirate ship full of hope. The phoenix and her egg are an important task that must be accomplished at any cost, as a magical sickness is plaguing those important to them. This plot was suspenseful, adventurous and a wonderful read.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed this a bit more than the first two which is saying a lot! The main characters, Maeve and Ben, make some mistakes (as they did in the first two) and learn from them. No whiny moments which I really appreciate!!!
I do recommend reading them in order. The layered growth and revealing of secrets really requires them to be read in order.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Family feuds, curses, touches of romance and time travel. This book has it all. Maeve and Ben have to navigate through some rough waters. There are pirates, mermaids and tons of adventure to fight the curses placed on their families. Although I was left with a few unanswered questions, this book was a good addition to the series and still worth the read.

This book surprised me by being fascinatingly unpredictable. It is the third book in the Moonlight Mermaid trilogy and keeps the suspense up while we follow the main characters as they try to get rid of a few devastating curses. The plot took me places I never would have expected and comes to an excellent conclusion. The romance is lovely, and all of the main characters' relationships grow as they bond together to solve a number of crises. Highly recommend the whole trilogy!
Love this series! This book opens with the island in dire circumstances and everyone scrambling for a solution. Maeve and her friends try a number of dangerous things but eventually figure out how to save everyone. This books has pirates, time travel and lots of adventure. I’m sad that it’s the end of the trilogy but love the story.
There used to be only one curse, now there are 3. The isle is on lockdown and starving, the Everhearts and Arrowoods are extra cursed thanks to Maeve's cousin, and the forest is locked to visitors. It's up to Maeve, Ben, and their friends to put all of the pieces together to save the island. Portals, pirates, mermaids, and an amazing conclusion. This is my favorite book in the series
When I started to read this book, I meant to go to bed on time. oops. I also meant to work all day the following day but then I had to clock out in the morning because I HAD to finish the book.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me there are more books to come - even if it is based on other characters. I am totally vested in what happens in this world and on Dusk.
This was so hard to put down! I don't want to give anything away! So I'll just say you're in for a fast-paced ride, which is worth it, as you're heading towards a HEA. It's well written, keeping you on the edge of your seat at times. So buckle up and enjoy the ride.
I was lucky to be given a copy of this book, and I'm leaving an honest review.
Book 3 has the gang trying to come up with a solution to break the phoenix's curse. Time travel; pirates; curses; sickness; and hope--the final book of the series is one not to be missed.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Maeve, Ben, and their friends are back and trying to save the day again. Lots of trouble and issues with the curse. And the feud is causing so much trouble as usual. But the story was fun and entertaining ans had to see what surprises were in store this time. Would the gang be able to solve the problem this time around had be glued to the end.
