Discover the lyrical masterpiece from award-winning poet Rithvik Singh, and learn to navigate the emotional intricacies of modern love, loss, heartbreak, and healing.
If Wattpad breakup poems had a baby with a mid schooler's diary, this would be it. 🤡
This book reads like someone took sad Twitter posts, slapped them together, and called it poetry. No depth, no originality, just the same overused heartbreak clichés on repeat. This isn’t poetry; this is the literary equivalent of a sad WhatsApp story. It’s giving “just got dumped, let me be deep” energy, but in reality, it’s as deep as a rain puddle. No raw emotion, no originality—just the same tired heartbreak quotes you’ve seen a thousand times before. This reads like someone copied every sad Pinterest quote, mixed in some generic heartbreak clichés, and called it poetry. It lacks depth, originality, and any real emotional impact. Just words strung together to sound profound—but feeling absolutely empty.
*Highlights??? – The pages flipped easily. – It ended. thankf*ck
*Lowlights?! – Emotional depth of a soggy napkin. – Reads like motivational posters for the heartbroken. – Somehow manages to say a lot while saying absolutely nothing. – Wattpad heartbreak at its finest. – No depth, no uniqueness, just recycled sadness.
~ Final Thoughts: Sorry, Ritvik, you only sound good over a moody Insta reel with soft piano music. Hard pass. If you want actual heartbreak poetry, go read Sylvia path, Warsan Shire or Trista Mateer but this!!
"My heart is made of art. The poems may not make sense to you, but they’ll always make you feel something. Always."
Well these poems made me feel nothing, sir(most of them anyway). This book was not for me. To be fair I have never experienced a heart-break. But but I have experienced love, and I really have to question what kind of love people are falling into if these are the words that comfort them.
I don't want to be too harsh but the words in here honestly felt a little bit too stupid. 💀
Anyway, here's one of the rare 'poems' that actually made me feel something:
I love the questions that begin with, ‘Remember when’.
"Remember when we were too drunk to even walk straight? Remember when I called you at 3 a.m. to ask about how you make your special noodles? Remember when we stayed up all night trying to find a movie but ended up rewatching episodes from our favorite sitcoms all over again?"
Such questions are proof that someone remembers us. That the memories we create with some people mean just as much to them as they mean to us. That they also cherish the bond we share.
This book reads more like an Instagram feed than a cohesive collection of insights. While it offers a space for those with a victim mentality to indulge in self-pity, its empty pages and repetitive themes can feel overly dramatic and cringe-worthy. Mature readers seeking genuine guidance on moving on will likely find it lacking, as only a couple of lines truly address healing. Most of the content seems like a self-indulgent diary of a teenager, lacking depth in its approach... Not worth the hype.
I literally read it in ONE day. I don't remember when was the last time I read any book in a day, be it poetry or novel. 🥺💗 I was always looking forward to what might be written on next page as this book felt really personal, engaging and relatable from the start. 🥰 The ups and downs on one sided love, the way that has been dedicted here with so much depth is just amazing!! Really liked it 🥰
I thought it would be a book that motivates broken hearts to move on.
But it is more than that. It's more of the heavy thoughts of sleepless nights. It's a peculiar time. You are alone, there is nothing or no one to save you from your thoughts and feelings. But they are not the bad ones with agony and hatred for those who left you alone, but you also feel hope for a better version of yourself, hope for love and cherish the good memories you had with them.
The author compiled those lonely thoughts, we feel when we finally decide "I don't love you anymore."
I liked how the author portrayed each & every feeling most youth go through these days. Reading this book felt personal, relatable, happy, eye-opening, thoughtful, and much more. I can't wait to read Warmth next.
'I Don't Love You Anymore' is a poetry book by Instagram's very popular poet Rithvik Singh.
This book is his take on love and the process of healing from heartbreaks. First self-published and then re-published by Penguin Random House India, it's a book that vastly became best-selling. I personally chose this book after seeing it a lot across the feed, and I didn't like the book.
I didn't like the book because there wasn't any fresh take on his part. It's all written in the past. Though there are a few proses that connected to me, but most of it well, it didn't.
This book is a collection of proses and quotes, and you could read it in a single sitting like I did. It's a collection of all the Instagram quotes that sometimes light up your day during your worst phases in life.
For someone who reads poetry so lovingly and vastly, this might not hit the right spot, and for me, it truly didn't.
Overall, it is a great book for beginners and people who want to read short and fast-paced books.
This book has impressed me and the author has so beautifully presented every emotions ☺️ . I just love to read these kinds of books. Each and every line was so beautiful and relatable I thought someone has expressed my feelings in a way better than me. I love poetry and I'm in love with this author. This book has shown many people's emotions and it will teach you how to move on from your past relationships and get over your trauma whether it is a relationship with someone, or parents or with yourself. This book will tell you that you're worth it and you deserve the best in your life. One of my fav lines from this book is : "You're staying with them because you're scared of being heartbroken, but tell me, aren't they already breaking your heart everyday?"
"Let your love for yourself be the tapestry that decorates your heart."❤️
Just finished this book yesterday and yes i can say that i felt it while reading the book that this book was really something i needed to heal a part of me that has been broken since forever..💔❤️🩹 It was surely something that would take you through the rollercoaster of things you have been through and will let you know that now you may rest, you may let go the memories and you should not grieve over someone who chose thier happiness and selfishness over your heart and love..💕
You have given all your love to someone who didn't care much, you thought that you're not enough for them that's why they left you but the real loss is theirs not yours.. You lost the person who was never yours but they have lost something precious.they have lost the person who was their 's and only their's The book was worth giving my time...💫🙌💯❤️💝💕🙏💘🌹
Many sections feel like diary entries or inner thoughts written in prose rather than structured poems. Please don’t label every personal reflection or emotional rant as poetry. It’s a book that might resonate with those going through heartbreak, but if you’re expecting beautifully written poems that linger in your mind, you might be disappointed.
*When you enter a bookstore and unexpectedly find that one book you’ve been looking for forever—that smile that covers your face on seeing it—if the same smile doesn’t cover their face whenever they look into your eyes, it’s not worth it.* -and this made me smile❤️
3.75/5✨ If I had the physical copy of this book, i would definitely end up highlighting the entire book, because all the lines were just beautiful🤌 There were a lot of quotes but this one touched my heart; "What good is this heart if it cannot be with the person it beats for?" I wish that this author also starts writing stories instead of poetries, because those stories would be amazing with his unique and beautiful writing styles.
Anyone who has ever felt like you're not worth it, This book is for you🩷
This novel beautifully combines the themes of love and respect that every person deserves in their life. It illustrates that without these essential elements, one cannot live a purposeful life. The story emphasizes the importance of recognizing your own worth—not for others, but for yourself. It also highlights the idea that experiencing heartbreak is sometimes necessary to truly understand your value. Rithvik masterfully weaves together touching moments and powerful quotes, creating an incredible narrative that resonates deeply with readers.
I read it for one day! every sentence is meaningful.. It's a reminder that relationships can be complicated, but there's always strength and hope even in a hard times..
