the Greatest Superhero of all Time, a Constructive Critique of the Buffy-Verse is more than a psychological analysis of Buffy as the slayer, it is a new way of looking at all of the characters throughout the Buffy-verse, their relationships, morals and more. Chances are we’ve only looked at the series as teenagers or young adults and never gave it a second thought, but underneath the makeup and special effects, demons and vampires there lies a compelling story and a unique and great superhero that deserves a serious revision. As a fan of Buffy, I hope you will enjoy reading this work as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Chapter 1: A Sense of Moral Duty Chapter 2: Overcoming Our Demons Chapter 3: The Importance of Friendship Chapter 4: Stranger Relationships Chapter 5: Heart and Blood Chapter 6: Normal Buffy Chapter 7: Fear and Fearless Chapter 8: The Earth is Doomed Chapter 9: Kill or be Killed Chapter 10: Mystical Magic Chapter 11: The Slayer is Love
Overall I did really like it. It had takes I hadn’t seen articulated this way before for Buffy. For example the call back to Adam and the needle in Normal and then the saving Angel and the world at the end of S7.
There was more than a few typographical errors. For example, Giles was spelled Gilles in multiple places and throughout Acathla was called Akathala. That doesn’t deter me from enjoying the book though but just pointing it out for the author for the next version.
