Kelsie is a sucker for a love story with all the feels. When she's not chasing words for her next book, you will probably find her reading or, more likely, hanging out with her husband and playing with her three kiddos who love to drive her crazy.
She adores photography, baking, her yorkie, Bob, and her devon rex, Mara. And now that she's actively pursuing her writing dreams, she's set her sights on someday finding the self-discipline to not binge-watch an entire series on Netflix in one sitting.
This book! Oh my heart! Reeves is my new favorite, hands down. He has the heart of Colt (from don't let me fall) which makes him perfect for Dylan. I love the advice and involvement from Ash and Colt in this book. I was excited to get a deeper look at mysterious Reeves, and now I am absolutely in love.
This was a good one! Reeves was the playboy turned golden retriever of everyone’s dreams. I loved the dynamic between these two.
What you can expect. Playboy MMC. Virgin Wallflower FMC. Teaching spicy lessons if you know what I mean. Found family trope. College antics.
Overall enjoyed this book. Sometimes scenes felt a little more highschool than college but if you can just get through that and enjoy the moment it’s a fun ride. Enjoyable characters. Spicy. Plenty of sweet and swooning moments. Kelsie does it again!
Okay this is full on spoilers so proceed with caution. Middle of the road with this ones because there were things I loved but then some major icks so I feel like I can’t explain without going into specific parts of the story this time. Sorry 🤷🏼♀️ I’m gonna start with things I loved! These things were things said in the book but not quoted word for word. •because I’m not a fan of the miscommunication trope. (Me neither my dude) • life fucking hurts. isn’t that the beauty of it, though when life beats the shit out of you you still have something to look back on and appreciate to remember to cherish • it’s disarming how observant he is how spot on he is with reading me my thoughts my feelings OK now onto my qualms • The name Reeves reminds me of a Butler track with me on this Reeves equals Jeeves equals ask Jeeves equals Alfred from Batman. • Reeves telling a date (who’s paying him by the way to do this) what makes her desirable and what makes her less so. Icky. and then my biggest ick of all was when like Reeves and the guys were going through dating profile pics, and Reeves was making assumptions about girls and based on the pictures they posted and equating that to their worth in dating terms and not worth dating, but the part about that that was the hardest was like her reaction to it. She went home and was like swooning because he told her that she was worth dating and Girl on the app wasn’t worth dating it just it ruffled some feathers about self-worth and acceptance and judgment, and I didn’t like it. Plus I realize it was just in reference to worth dating time but the words used were too close for comfy about just self worth and I feel like he could’ve expressed his interest in her without putting other random girls down. Also realizing that dating apps in general might just be a trigga fo me. Huh who knew?!
Maybe I should’ve ended on the positives ufffdah oops lol

Omg!! I knew I was going to love Reeves! I love his humor and his persistence and his commitment! I love Dylan’s shy demeanor! I love how she grows into herself! I like how they challenge each other in class! I also love that fact with Reeves past and not having a great family life that your family doesn’t have to be blood. Your family is who you choose and who chooses you! Reeves and Dylan bring out the best in each other and give you all the happy feels! Love that her family has embraced him as their own!! Can’t wait for the next one!! Well done!!
Kelsie’s writing is so so so addictive and I always forget how much I truly love it until I dive back into one of her books — this one was no exception. I LOVED IT.
This book follows Reeves and Dylan. Dylan is the good girl, quiet little wallflower and Reeves is the outgoing, secretly broken bad boy who also happens to be her brother’s friend, teammate, and roommate. These two are complete opposites in every way, but Reeves is the only person around Dylan who doesn’t treat her like she’ll break at any moment. He challenges her & brings her outside of her comfort zone which is something Dylan begins to love.
I’m calling it now, I think these two will end up being my favorite couple in the series. I just love them and their connection so much. I’m a sucker for a broken hero & Reeves really won my heart over whereas I related to Dylan so much. She’s probably the female main character I have related to most since I’ve gotten back into reading.
Thank you Kelsie for the paperback copy of this book, it’s 100% a new favorite of mine.
Tropes: - hockey romance - college romance - bad boy x good girl - opposites attract - broken hero - virgin heroine - he falls first - she struggles with migraines, he helps take care of her
I love when I find a new author and their books aren’t talked about enough. This is the second book in the series the Little Things by Kelsie Rae and I can’t get enough. The plot in each book has you immediately wanting to read the next one. I normally don’t buy hard copy books since I get most things on my Kindle Unlimited but I’m so glad I found this series and it’s worth the purchase!
I’m a sucker for hockey romance and will recommend this series to anyone. 🫶🏼
I won’t lie I was nervous to read it based on the ending of the first book, but I knew I couldn’t deny myself of Reeves and Dylan.
THANK. GOD. I. DIDN’T.
Reeves is the guy you shouldn’t want but can’t help but fall for. His cocky exterior is the perfect cover for himself to keep people at arms length.
Until her.
Dylan really opens up through the whole book and I love getting to see her happy. She more than deserves it. Insert the goofy, handsome, and protective Reeves and you just have the perfect balance.
Thank you so much Kelsie for allowing me to ARC read A Little Tempting. It was perfect.
A Little Tempting gave me full body excitement!! I felt it everywhere and I couldn’t get enough!! Literally every couple of pages my chest tightened with excitement for these characters!! They are literally so perfect for each other and I enjoyed reading their love story so much!! I’m very ~tempted~ to call this one my favorite book by Kelsie so far!!
This is an actual clusterfuck. The FMC is a Debby Ryan reincarnate and the MMC is a ‘platonic escort’ (what in the fresh hell is THAT)! Between the use of the word ‘Cinderfella’ 47 times, the mention of sperm from the FMC’s mom while eating brunch, a text that reads ‘hey! I made bail :)’ and many other unmentionable things that I don’t want connected to my digital footprint, my eyes are about to fall out of their sockets. 2 stars because I couldn’t put it down, even if it was for the worst reasons!!! 🤪
KELSIE RAE!!!! If Colt Thorne and Macklin Taylor had a love child it's Oliver Freakin Reeves!
Dylan is also so much of all the women who helped raised her in one adorable package. The little wallflower who before was a spunky girl and then tragedy hit. But with the right man loving her she become so much of what she was before and so much more than anyone could imagine.
Oliver Reeves the shattered child, the easy going man, and mischievous guy. How my heart loved him and his pursuit of Dylan, and his devotion to her. It was the most adorable things he do. Then his knowledge of tropes and his admant refusing to let a miscommunication trope stand was freaking adorable!
The will they won't they and slow burn was on point through this book. This had me dying half the book waiting for things to pick up and falling so hard for Reeves and all his cute antics. Seriously this is top tier Kelsie Rae. Everything I loved about Don't Let Me Fall and Don't Let Me Break in A Little Tempting.
I love Reeves and Dylan’s story. Reeves is not who I thought he was; he is so much deeper and my new favorite from Ms. Rae. Reeves is perfect for Dylan, and once you get to know him, it is obvious. This was almost a one sitting read, I was draw in and hooked from page one. Reeves has found his family, and the love and support he receives from Ash and Colt are perfect.
I always say I will read slower because the wait between books is the hardest part.
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
This is one of my favorites that Kelsie has written! Reeves is definitely a perfect mix a River, Mack, and Colt!
Reeves has a platonic escort service to help women in need, he has a dark past and some prior encounters with the law.
Dylan is a shy wallflower as Reeves refers to her as. But slowly he is going to push her back to her original confidence that she had before an accident she had while growing up.
He falls first and hard and what better thing he HATES miscommunication tropes.
Amazing! So much fun! After book one I was scared the whole time reading this in fear she was going to blindside me again. This book put the broken pieces of my heart back together that book 1 broke! I highly recommend this book. Read the first one (A little Complicated) then read this one!
Y'all!!!!! As SOON as this hit my inbox I could not put it down. It's was far past my bedtime and I didn’t even care because Kelsie puts MAGIC in these books!!!! "A Little Complicated" tore my heart apart and "A Little Tempting" put it back together again. This is my #1 read for February!! I found Kelsie last year and she’s quickly become my favorite author. The girl can WRITE a book!!!
Reeves and Dylan are 🔥🔥🔥!!! The way they become frenemies to lovers while still reeling from the heartbreak of “A Little Complicated” was so real. In the prologue Reeves says, I’m a pro. Been getting over family deaths since I could walk.”; “Everyone moves on. Everyone has to. Disney had it right. It’s the circle of life, even when we don’t want to accept it.” As someone who’s admittedly jaded to death and grief, those quotes hit me in the pit of my stomach. They’re so true and Kelsie writes grief and moving on from the death of a loved one exactly how it really happens. I connected with this book on another level because of it.
Not only did I relate to the that theme, I also related to Dylan. She has her close circle and that’s all she’s worried about having. People aren’t her jam and I get that wholeheartedly. She says, “Yeah, but if I look up, I have to make eye contact with people, and if I make eye contact with people, they might try to talk to me, and talking to people gives me hives, so…”, same, girl, same!
While Dylan and Reeves know each other, because of shared friends and he lives with her brother, they don’t really know each other and they aren’t close. A photography class project leads to them being partners much to the dismay of Everett, who’s oddly protective of Dylan. Dylan and Reeves grow even closer after an apartment flood leads to her moving into his side of the duplex. They let each other in. He brings humor to her life and she brings the true meaning of family to his.
There are some plot twists and angst but no heartbreaking, cry my eyes out all night devastation like we got with “A Little Complicated”. Kelsie gives us a HEA with this one and I can’t wait for the next!!
I loved this book. Oliver and Dylan? No miscommunication trope? I’m in.
Poor Oliver for having such a shitty childhood. His dad waa totally an asshole. Oliver was the greeeeenest flag ever. He really treat Dylan with care and very attentive to her. Oh god I want bf like him too😂
Dylan was such a badass girl. Seeing the growth of her character amazed me. Like from shy one to standing up for her boyfriend? She’s such a cutie 😍
ok maybe this doesn’t deserve 5 stars but i have to give it because i loved this book so much it was just so cute. the guy was perfect and hilarious and ugh just give me him now. and the fmc was actually NOT annoying at all and i liked her. ALSO THE NICKNAME HE GAVE HER IS LITERALLY THE CUTEST WHAT 393 pages wasn’t enough
Kelsie has done it again! Reeves and Dylan are so dang cute! I love that there wasn’t a second act breakup and that he hates miscommunications! I love everything that Kelsie writes and can’t wait for the next one!
I absolutely love Reeves and Dylan’s story. I love Reeves personality. It’s cocky but deep down he is a gentleman and treats his girl like a queen. I loved when it was time to protect Reeves when his past was shitty, he saw who is in his corner and that he actually had a family that he didn’t realize he had and he accepted their help. My favorite scene was the taser scene had me absolutely dying. I was laughing so hard. Also still love the childhood games that are at the college parties that have an adult twist to them.
I love every single book Kelsie Rae writes and Reeves is definitely my top favorite guy.
This book was such a fun read, I never wanted to put it down! Dylan and Reeve's story felt so natural and I fell in love with them! For my people who love guys in masks you would love a scene in this book! It also has a reverse Cinderella trope that was done so well!
A little tempting was amazing. It is a slow burn and the tension that was in this book was gold. I loved the way they were growing closer and closer every chapter, there weren’t any set back and you kinda of expected a lot of what happened in the book but there was some really good things in the book that you would’ve thought was going to happen but it was actually the opposite. The book I just couldn’t stop reading and it was really related on various levels.
The book was written amazingly and the writing style is very admirable 💋
Each book I read of Kelsie’s I fall more in love with her characters. Dylan touched my heart because in so many ways she was easily relatable. Her growth is beautiful. And then there’s Reeves. Absolutely one of my favorite guys she’s written. He’s sweet, kind but has the perfect amount of alpha hole thrown in. I adore him. His heart is so big, it’s hard not to fall in love with him. Overall definitely in my favorites. Just the right amount of spice for these characters, the build up for them is incredible and then the growth for each of them on their own but also as a couple is perfect.
can we take a minute to appreciate the fact the MMC last name is REEVES in this book, and that just so happens to be MY LAST NAME....... okay now thats out of the way.
Oliver Reeves is the definition of what anyone would read as a "playboy". He dates multiple girls, has a IDGAF attitude. He is who he is, and he's been through some stuff to make him think nothing and no one is worth while. When he sets his sights on his teammates little sister who is shy, meek and wants to stay out of the limelight- theres no turning back. He is the "wolf" & Dylan is his prey..
Dylan Thorne is the little sister of Jax & Griffin.. she's the daughter of Colt & Ashlyn from "Don't Let Me Fall" and im loving the second generation books. She doesn't want to be in the spotlight, wants to miss the parties, and honestly just LAY LOW. Her friends aren't going to let that happen and after a "game night" at the boys house- she gets the first real chemistry filled kiss- of her life, she's on the hunt for her "Cinderella"....
This book was so good... It shows that people live in crap situations but, who they CHOOSE to be means something. Reeves's life was anything but perfect- and he chose to use his experiences and help people... and when he decides he wants to be the man worthy of Dylan he goes all in.
He really SEE's HER! He sees who she really is and I appreciate that in a book. Where the MMC actually stands up for the FMC when everyone around her is babying her, and treating her like a fractured piece of herself, it's Reeves that shows up and lets her just be her. That gives her the strength to come out of her shell.
CHEF'S KISS BABE. LOVED EVERY BIT OF IT.
Now im DYYINGG for Everetts book- and don't even get me started on how much I want to read Finleys!!! 10/10/10
**reread** I am fully convinced that there is nothing Kelsie Rae could write that I will not fall completely and utterly in love with. 𝑨 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 was fantastic. Give this book all the stars along with anything else written by this author ♾️⭐️
If A Little Complicated broke my heart then 𝑨 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝑻𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 healed it. This book was so heartwarming. The way these characters continue to prove that you don’t have to be blood to be family is everything. These bonds are unbreakable and seeing Reeves accepted into this found family melted my heart. He’s been through so much pain and deserves all the love and acceptance in the world. And let me tell you, Oliver Reeves is for the book girlies. He’s into dramione and hates the miscommunication trope. The man is a total book boyfriend and impossible not to love.
I truly loved everything in this book. The cameos from the Don’t Let Me couples, the game nights, the found family, the tension, and the slow burn. I was giddy. They snuggled at the 60% mark and I swear I was squealing and kicking my feet. The absolute cutest
