A life of perfection and success, a façade that hides the truth.
When Guro receives a dire warning from her doctor about her eating disorder, she embarks on a journey that leads her to a tranquil home in the French countryside.
There, surrounded by the lavender-scented landscape, she finally lets go and finds solace in good food, conversations, and possibly even love.
But as she grapples with her illness and past traumas resurface, Guro's control begins to slip. Will she risk losing her grip on her disorder in order to find true happiness?
If you enjoyed "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert, you'll love this gripping tale of self-discovery and letting go.

A fiction character struggling with eating disorder and the loss of her mother. I had a lot in common with this main character. Not the eating disorder part and not losing a mother either, but struggling with self-confidence, the feeling of being different, hiding feelings and not trusting people. How to deal with some things in life and do the right thing. I felt related to her in many ways. Not really my type of book but beautifully written.
Every Shade Of Me. What a touching book. We get to know Guro. An adult women, struggling with bulimia. Low self-confindence. But things are about to change for Guro, the girl from a small village in the western part of Norway. We will go to France. The smell of lavender, good food and great wine. Will Guro handle it? This journey is so important and touching.
Guro Anderson is a woman on a journey of self-discovery, healing and perhaps love. This wonderful and touching book is a wonderful story of redemption and grace which I thoroughly enjoyed. This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.
