Update: Yeah curiosity got the best of me. This was so bad I don't even know where to start. I feel bad giving it such a low rating since I kind of knew what I was getting into but the reviews made me think the author did something different.
Nope it was no different and fuck me it was awful.
First of all this fucking loser (caleb) is so horny, elisa has to ask him - no, make him PROMISE her - not to fuck anyone she goes to school with. How pathetic can you be? Imagine asking the love of your life to not have sex with people you know while you wait for him? 🤡
Anyway, he then proceeds to "accidentally" fuck not one, ooooh not two but THREE of her bullies who then send her the video. But he "always loved her" and we're supposed to feel sorry bc he doesn't have sex for weeks? "I haven't had sex in weeks. I'm turning a new leaf." STFU. We're supposed to feel sorry because it's the one birthday she didn't make him a drawing? Poor Caleb? Fuck off.
So to get back in Elisa's good graces his plan is to ruin these girls' lives as if he didn't also consent to fucking them? It was their fault they "tricked him" - I'm not trying to slut shame but my god maybe you wouldn't be so easy to trick if you weren't so fucking easy and slept with anything with w pulse. The girls barely put in any effort - basically snuck into the event and were like 'wanna fuck?' And he was like 'SAY LESS' I didn't like Gwenyth but she was pretty fucking spot on with her taunting. Elisa was pathetic. And I really hate when the MMC fucks up and thinks he's making up for it by punishing other people?
She and Gwenyth were established enemies - G didn't owe her shit. Caleb who supposedly loved, respected and adored Elisa owed her a lot more.
To my other point - nothing pisses me off more than the MMC making fun after the pain he's caused - so after Caleb crushes Elisa's heart once again, he's cracking sex jokes with her before he even makes amends. Was that supposed to be charming? Humble yourself sir. You're on thin ice.
The whole he "never had feelings for her so he didn't hurt her intentionally" but somehow also "saved his first date for her" was such horse shit because how the fuck does that work? Or "was always in love with her" which is so insulting. I'd rather he not have feelings for her and realize it later than flaunt women around her while being "in love with her."
Anais always being around I mean how many past women did we run into in this book? I lost count.
Don't even get me started on the bullshit "i'm your first you're my last bullshit" like that's supposed to be romantic. Yes, remind her that there were so many others before her.
He starts "groveling" at 30% and she caves by 60%. The boyfriend/Seb plotline was so predictable and over done because of course he just had to be a piece of shit. Just because her ex is a piece of shit doesn't mean caleb can just not try.
The book wasn't that spicy which I'm not mad about at all but if that was the case, she should've held out longer. I was really hoping she wouldn't give in until 98%. Btw not really sure where he "pulled out all the stops" his groveling was mediocre. Flowers, chocolates, a care package, taking her on a date? I'm sorry but when did groveling suddenly just become dating? I'm gonna throw up. That is quite literally the bare minimum for behavior in a relationship - not a grovel.
Elisa deserved better. I wish she would've at least given her virginity to someone else. I don't understand how her friends and family could root for him. If I were her bestie/sister/mother - hell father, I would have laughed in his face.
I'm with Alesso. If he loved her, he really should've let her go.
So the super low rating is partially for the piece of shit hero, but also mostly bc the writing and plot were so juvenile. C & E taking turns hitting the girls that tormented her like that was supposed to be a W for E was embarrassing. The way C spoke and treated her bf Seb and E just allowed it. The transitions were choppy. The dialogue was so cringey. The use of "mafioso" did not feel natural. Really disappointed bc I enjoyed the Mazzone Mafia series SO much.

I'm extremely torn if I want to read this. I was dying for this story after I read the Mazzone Mafia series but I'm crushed to learn it's the MOST tired plot to exist (imo) and I'm just not sure if I can deal with it.
Girl not only pathetically watches fuckboy fuck anything and everything that breathes FOR YEARS while she remains a virgin - but she waits for him to pick her. It's giving "I fucked all of them because you're too good for me! 🥺" Girl decides to move on (I doubt she tries that hard lmao) and then boy decides to act.
He broke some promise to her.. I swear if he fucks some relative or friend I'm gonna scream.
All that to say -- I am still soooo curious not gonna lie.

Cruel King of New York is a great ending for this duet (you must read Cold King of New York first).
This book is more romance than suspense than the first book, but don't let that deter you. This storyline fits the characters and who they are.
Siobhan's writing allows readers to visualize the changes in Caleb along with the hesitancy in Lili. I love that we see growth in both of them, not only as individuals but together.
Yes, this review is very short and speaks very little of what happens but that's because the smallest bit of details will give you too much information that you need to discover yourself as you read.

Yap, it went as well as expected. The fuckboy who was always sleeping with a different woman every night and was commitment phobe Finally sees the light and realizes he is in love with his best friend.
Said best friend is in love with him since she was 8yo and remains a virgin because she wants to give him the gift of her virginity.
She accepts him and the fact that he has been sleeping with people she already knows and eventually they exchange I love yous and lifetime commitment.
I couldn't believe a word coming out of his mouth.
It all felt cringy especially when they were asking each other "was it good for you too"? I think it developed too fast and Lily forgave him too fast.
He went from 0 to 100 in under a week. I would have enjoyed it more if Lily had moved on and slept with someone else.
Of course that would not be true to her character but still.
Caleb Fits the stereotype of the hypocritical made man, who fucks around but he wants his wife to be a virgin and is pissed and filled with jealousy once he realizes that she had some sort of experience.
Also most of the women apart from the mothers, her best friend and other one from uni are portrayed as bimbos, salivating over the God, that Caleb is. It was really like seeing a very bad soap opera.

Please, you have to read book 1! It's a duet, and the action picks up right where Cold King finishes off.
When this one starts, it's right in the middle of the action. Players have been revealed. Whew, it's some action. And the revenge... oh my gosh, it was dark, and it was worth it!
Caleb is a player. I mean that. He's not looking for love. He doesn't want it. The only women he seems to care about anything for are his mother and Elisa.
Elisa has loved Caleb since she was a little girl. He does care for her but doesn't want a relationship with her. But when she decides to move on, it's almost like a slow switch, and Caleb sees what he's going to lose. And man, does he go for it. He is wild, does what he wants, and says what he wants. And each time, I just loved reading the crazy things he does. He is honestly a little over the top, but I was there for it.
And there's a hunt in this book. There were betrayals all around in book 1, and it definitely affected this story.
In my opinion, to get a deeper understanding of Caleb, you need to read his mother's book, Forbidden to Love. And Scared to Love. It's a great series!

If I could give it no star I would , just because of fucking Caleb . The guy was so egoistical and fucking annoying. How do you wake up and decide you are done with your whoring days just because the puppy(Elise ) that's been begging for your attention suddenly decides she doesn't need it again . And the sex jokes !!!! Come on . That was so embarrassing.

Who would've thought that Caleb Accardi was so romantic when he was pulling his head out of his behind???
This was the second part of the Accardi twins that is set in the Mazzone Mafia world and the story picked up exactly where it left us in the first book, but from Caleb's POV...
Joshua and Gia had given the reigns to Caleb and Elisa in here and I enjoyed their journey to HEA, even though it had many bumps...
Caleb and Elisa were soulmates, but they had to grow up to embrace the inevitability of their relationship!!!
"I could never be good enough for a woman like Elisa Salerno."
Elisa has been in love with Caleb since she was a little girl, but he was always treating her like his little sister... They were best friends and everyone was seeing the connection between them, except Caleb himself...
Caleb loved his Lili very much, but he knew that he was wrong for her, so he was keeping her at arm's length... As he was trying to keep his distance of her, he became the biggest manwhore and that was hurting Elisa deeply...
And then, he broke his only promise to her and Elisa decided to cut him out of her life and heart!!! But Caleb won't let her erase him so easily...
"You had your chance, and you blew it. Now you get to watch from the sidelines while I'm with someone else. Let's see how you like it."

I love the Mazzone world!!! I have loved the first generation and I needed the Accardi twins' stories!!! And I liked the way we got them, cause Joshua and Caleb had an unbreakable bond!!!
Their girls were also best friends and they were the perfect pair for this duo...

I adored the second half of this duet!! Yes, I was smitten with Joshua Accardi, but I fell head over heels for his twin brother, Caleb. ❤️🥰😍
Caleb is sooo over the top romantic and cheesy...yes, you read that right!! Caleb is ALL the cheese, bravado and ego, and all the things that made me giggle with how fun his inner thoughts were. Caleb was such a wonderful surprise that I really didn't want his book to end. 💯
Now, I don't want to take away from the intense feelings that Elisa Salerno felt for Caleb for her entire life. She had finally had enough and I totally supported her through her journey. Elisa found her fighting spirit and when she did it brought out Caleb's inner romantic side. 😍 Once he took his blinders off that is. It also forced her to grow up which ended up making Caleb work for a woman for the first time ever.
But before we get Caleb's lovey-dovey side, he's a messed up sod. 😂 I really couldn't stop giggling over Caleb's wicked sense of humor, especially during the darker scenes. He throughly enjoyed helping kick some Irish scum and Italian rats is all I'll say 😉 and the moments he shares with Gia are both heartfelt and funny. They have already accepted each other as future in-laws, so the ribbing is perfect and usually the kick in the pants he needs.
While no couple has a perfect history as to how they get together, Elisa and Caleb are a wonderful match. Lastly I have to say, the ending to this duet is chef's 💋 perfection!

The Accardi Twins are here! And oh my goodness are they oh so delicious! I have a particularly ravenous fervor when it comes to Siobhan Davis’ mafia world. Gritty, adrenaline packed, edge of your seat entertaining, yet somehow resplendently romantic and swoony. I just can’t get enough of her mafia! And the Accardi Twins are everything I’ve come to adore from this world. They are edgy and alpha, sexy and domineering, but also deliciously dreamy and loving. I am wildly obsessed with both Joshua and Caleb! Cold King and Cruel King are addictive page turners- rife with mesmerizing characters, gripping mafia intrigue and action, titillating spice, and heart wrenching emotions.
Cold King gives us Joshua and Gia’s story. And if you love well-researched mafia stories with teeth, this one is the pinnacle. Siobhan beautifully marries a complex and layered story of deception and revenge. Siobahn loves a tough, bad-a heroine, and Gia is as fierce, dangerous, and courageous as they come, and I loved a heroine who saves the day as a mafia spy. A true equal, she can stand toe to toe with not one Accardi twin but the entire mafia world. This is the second book in the Accardi Twins duet, which is also a 2nd gen to the Mazzone Mafia series. You do not have to have read the Mazzone Mafia series first, but it does help with knowing the different characters and also the ongoing storyline. You must read Cold King of New York before reading this book. This duet is about the Accardi Twins Joshua and Caleb, and this time, it's Calebs turn. His love interest is also a character that has been known to us if you have read the Mazzone Mafia series. I loved the continuation of the storyline from Joshua's book, and it was also just as much of a page turner. Reading the previous book, you would not believe how much of a romantic Caleb actually is, and I must admit Caleb is actually my favourite of the Accardi twins. It has been great to visit all these characters again, especially this generation, and I would love to read more. Please check your TW before reading.

The MMC, Don Caleb Accardi is 27 yrs old and has seen some stuff in that time. He knows Elisa is everything, but she’s sweet and innocent where he is ruthless and cold. When she starts avoiding him at all costs he decides enough is enough and she’s worth the fight and he’s all in on them buttttt at what cost?!
There’s a mafia war going on and will they come out of this or will this be the end of the line
I absolutely adore the Mazzone family books and I went into this thinking that Joshua was gonna be my favorite twin… but I’ve since switched.. don’t get me wrong i adore Joshua but there’s just something about Caleb and his boyish charm that got me hooked and man watching him fall in love was a gamechanger

You'll definitely want to start with Cold King and then read straight through this one to get the best reading experience. Heed the warnings, because this is blackout dark with a high degree of bloodlust. If you’re game, it's an incredible, jaw-dropping mafia thriller wrapped up in a pretty HEA.
Don Caleb Accardi didn’t impress me much in the first half of this duet, unless an unrepentant player can be impressive in the number of women he beds. But in this half, we see some of his layers peeled back and find out there may just be more depth to him.
Elisa Salerno has known Caleb for most of her life and always had fairytale dreams of him as her husband. She may be innocent and inexperienced, but she’s no stranger to the machinations of the mob world. And when Caleb breaks his promise to her, Elisa is done, left only with the dreams he shattered.
With more layers, more complications, and more suspense and drama, I devoured this in one sitting and couldn’t get enough. Some of the best mafia romance I’ve ever read, if you’re at all a fan of dark romance, this is guaranteed to be your new favorite.

So I thought book 1 had me but words cannot explain the choke hold book 2 had on my heart and soul! Omg I knew Caleb’s story wasn’t going to be easy because Elisa is pure and everything right in the world and he didn’t deserve her. Boy did he prove me wrong and I loved every heart wrenching word. Elisa made him pay and the way this woman came into her own……YASSSS!
Caleb is cold! His heart is ice and he has no soul. He’s proven to be the cruel king and the evil twin time and time again. The only person that brings him an ounce of humanity is Elisa but when he betrays her trust she says no more and brings him to his knees! Caleb had to pay for his sins and Elisa makes sure he doesn’t get let off easy, because what’s a king without a powerful queen by his side?
Elisa my goodness this woman slayed me. She was so strong and our lovely has a dark side that once let out shows us why she is the one to stand by Caleb’s side. There were so many OMG moments and twists at the end but the story is tied up nicely and you will finish the book with a smile on your face and a new found appreciation for this world!

So, of course, after reading Cold King of New York, I dove right into this one. Okay, so this review will be a little harder to write because I don't want to give anything away. Omg, I am in shock, and I think I need my brain bleached, lol. I will say this: What a way to get payback. With that being said, I still love the story, and man, it's fun reading about Caleb and how he is the one who doesn't know what to do. Elisa is so much stronger than people give her credit for, and I, for one, love seeing her come out of her shell.
I am not saying more because I do not want to ruin it for anybody. But I will say this series was incredible, and i love the twins.

Same me from authors who think a cruel fuckboy who throws women in the FMC's face, taunts her with it, has a foursome with her bullies (only to then blame the "sluts" for his actions), sleeps with married woman, then decides he'll be HER only and then "grovels" and I use that term very loosely by being a barely decent human being, taking her out on a date and buying her expensive shit is romance.
So he's had like hundreds of women and all she gets to have his community dick? Seriously, she can't turn around in this book without running into 8 women he's f*cked.
This series is highly disappointing when some of the other author's have been amazing.

I love Caleb Accardi.
For me this is the stronger book of this duet. I could not put this down. I cannot get over the vast differences between Caleb between book 1 and 2. There's growth for sure and we seem him figuring it out for himself, but the difference is also apparent between seeing Caleb through other's POV and then spending time in his POV.
We learn about his layers and the things he has kept hidden even from himself while Elisa has worn his proudly on her sleeve.
Elisa is such a queen, and something we need to see more of represented in books. Someone who knows her worth and will stand up for it even when it's hurting her to do so because she will not allow herself to be taken for granted despite her feelings. Of course she's not perfect, no-one is after all, but she's such a 'normal' girl in this Mafia world in many ways and I adore her.
Where cold king felt more plot driven, cruel King feels more character driven with a side helping of the deep plot that runs through this world.
There are some good surprises through this, particularly in the climax of the story and we close up this part of the Mazzone Mafia world very nicely.
Well done Siobhan, another roaring success! 👏

What can I say ? I’m a sucker for the twins, I don’t even know which one I preferred.. both , I preferred both.
I think Siobhan’s life goal is to rub in my face all the gestures these amazing book boyfriends make .. she could become a bridal adviser and be successful, because come on ! I want that box too ! So I would be grateful if she could send an email to my hubby to drop some hints ..
Besides me pouting throughout the book and being jealous of Elisa , I loved it .
The romance has way more screen time than the plot and I was so so happy for that. ! The set up for the future books are on point, and I want them all !
I swallowed all the groveling in one go , and with Siobhan’s writing it made this book a nice page turner again.

Part 2 of the Accardi twins duet.
I’m not going to lie I really wasn’t sure about Caleb at first, typical manwh0r3 sleeping with everyone while Elisa sits virginally at the side quietly waiting for him to notice her.
But, then Caleb breaks a promise to Elisa and she decides she is done waiting for him to notice her and moves on. Leaving Caleb trying to come to terms with the feelings that he’s had for her for years but only just realised.
I don’t want to go into detail too much and ruin it for everybody but safe to say Elisa is an absolute queen 👸🏻 and Caleb has to work on himself to show he’s worthy of her.
This book is full of angst, drama, love plot and dark romance.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Caleb Acccardi is the ultimate reformed bad boy!! That man is pulling all the stops to win his girl, and I am here for it.
This book was all go from the very beginning. It kicks off right where Cold King of New York ends, and we are in the thick of it.
Elisa is such a good character. Everyone sees har as the quiet mafia princess, but she is so far from the nieve girl everyone thinks she is!
This book was such a good ending to the Accardi duet. It brought so many elements and weaved them together to create an amazing story that will have you hooked from the second you start reading to the very end.
This duet was everything I wanted for Caleb and Joshua, and I loved every word.

Lili has had enough of Caleb causing her heartbreak and finally decides to move on, letting go of her crush and starting dating. Suddenly, Caleb realized he had feelings for Lili, but it was too late. Lili shuts him out, so Caleb pulls out all the stops to try to win Lili's affection back. I enjoyed reading the second book in this duet, devouring it in a single evening reading late into the night; I will reread Cruel King of New York in the future, making it a 5 / 5 Star read, in my opinion.

This is slow to medium burn spice level.
As a true fan of the Mazzone series I have been waiting for this book! All the cameos, love filled moments and action had me finishing the story in one day ‼️
