Haunted by childhood trauma inflicted by his controlling parents, Ethan seeks solace in the big city life. However, his past catches up to him after a mysterious photo of his recently deceased friend appears on his doorstep.
Stricken by grief, he decides to return to the place he tried so hard to escape. Little does he know that something sinister has awakened in his little town and that the journey he decided to take would lead him to his greatest nightmare.
This haunting tale is perfect for fans of urban horror, psychological suspense, and supernatural mysteries.
Writing means everything to me. It is my past, present, and future. Creating new worlds and characters gives meaning and color to my life. Seeing them overcome the darkest perils puts a smile on my face, and seeing their sorrow and pain brings tears to my eyes. By making my works public, I hope to convey these emotions and the sense of wonder to everyone who comes by my tiny imprint in this boundless universe. So, if you are willing, join me on this journey through the lands between. Through underground depths and murky streets. Through dark woods and endless oceans. Where brave heroes arise and anguished spirits perish. Where through the struggle, even the most unremarkable beings can challenge the will of the mad gods. Join me on the journey through the meandering pathways of my mind.
This story is about an elevator, but it is about a lot more than that. It is about a lonely man and his lonely life. Living alone in a lonely city with his lonely self.
The elevator plays a central part of this story. But that part doesn’t come until after 70% of the book is finished. I would say that the elevator is present in only 15% of the book.
This book is slow paced and at times difficult to enjoy. Some of the chapters are very long for a short story. The book is dry and at times the atmosphere is tense. This is okay, but it doesn’t happen often enough to make me think of the story with having a mellow ambiance. This gives the book three stars.
Another great book by Primary Hollow. This time it's a short horror story called The Elevator. Ethan, the main character goes through a series of strange events, and the death of a childhood friend that takes him back to his home town, only to be confronted by more strange and horrific events. At 78 pages, it's a great little read indeed.
