'Does Geography grind you down?
Fed up with miserable maps, rotten rock piles and crazy contour lines?
Wave goodbye to boring geography lessons as you dive into 'Monster Lakes' ...........

Tremble! ...as you teeter on the brink of a volcanic crater lake.
Scream! ....when you come face to face with scuba-diving spiders.
Shiver!....with fear at the spooky shipwrecks in Lake Superior.

And if that is not thrilling enough for you.... Go on a hunt for monsters from the deep, discover how an explorer found an awesome underground lake and meet fishes that melt in the sun.

It's earth-shatteringly exciting!

Geography has never been so horrible!'

This book was about all the different types of lakes and the creatures that live in them. It tells them about how long and deep they are. There are parts in the book about the underground. I think it was a factual and interesting book but also had some jokes and was funny. They made this book nice to read.

Bello, come tutti gli altri letti finora della collana Brutta Geografia. Avrei voluto più argomenti, migliori approfondimenti, ma non sarebbe più stato un libro per ragazzi... Consigliatissimo ai giovani innamorati dell'avventura.

This book was extremely good. It had monsters in it - from the Loch Ness Monster to Ogapogo. I am making a model myself. It might look funny for a pushpin for a head, and a paperclip for a body...but, ehh, well, that's what I'm doing. There's lakes and fish that sound so weird, you will probably gasp for awhile when you read about them. Did you know that file holders are good ways to attract the Loch Ness Monster? My two favorite things were the fish that melt in the sun and how you can meet scuba-diving spiders. I would recommend this book to limnologists, my whole family and my grandma. And P.S. Does any body know a good Loch Ness Moster Model leg source? And another P.S. - Grandma, can you please draw a Loch Ness Monster for me?

It wasn't a particularly well presented book and it's information was quite basic.

A few good lake 'profiles', but the rest of it can hardly be considered geographical in any way. Disappointing.

A fun and entertaining read. A very enjoyable way to learn about this topic.
