Detective Andrew Morris was on the verge of retirement. He'd been hoping that his remaining time might pass by without incident. But it would seem that fate had something different in store for him...
There is a psychotic killer on the loose, their primary target being those hard-working men and women of the adult entertainment industry. But it would seem it's the men this particular killer has their sights set on, as a very particular trophy has been taken from the scene of every crime.
What kind of person would kill a man and cut off his dick?
Detective Morris needs to catch this murderer before anybody else loses their most precious appendage.
Harrison Phillips is an English author of horror, sci-fi and fantasy. His literary influences range from Clive Barker and Stephen King, to Jack Ketchum and Edward Lee. He was born and raised in Birmingham, England, where he still resides with his long-suffering wife, their two daughters, and a schnauzer named Minnie.
A detective a month away from retirement has been set to a case regarding adult film actors being found dead and their..money makers missing. Actively trying to stop more films being made before he can find the killer, he starts questioning the film maker.
This books was funny, quick paced and a little gory. Fun read of you’re looking for something different!!
Girth is a shocking, visceral, and utterly captivating dive into the dark underbelly of adult entertainment—and the sinister secrets that thrive in its shadows. Harrison Phillips pulls no punches in this extreme horror tale, and wow, it’s not for the faint of heart. 😱
The story centers around PleasureHub, a powerhouse in the adult film industry, and a string of brutal murders targeting its stars. What starts as gruesome slayings quickly spirals into a twisted narrative involving severed appendages, a masked killer, and a bizarre "herbal remedy" that takes this already dark story into a whole new realm of macabre.
🚨 Spoiler Alert 🚨 One of the most jaw-dropping twists involves Chet Collins, the sleazy yet charismatic head of PleasureHub. His connection to the murders is teased throughout, but the moment Detective Morris discovers Chet’s gruesome collection of severed penises drying in his office is chef’s kiss horror perfection. And let’s not forget the gut-punch revelation about his “miraculous enhancement” that ties everything together in a chilling, grotesque bow.
The gore is relentless—from the first murder (Maxwell Strong’s horrifying demise) to the gut-wrenching final confrontation. The killer’s MO is brutal but precise, and the white kabuki mask adds an extra layer of terror. That final scene, where the truth about Chet comes to light and his past collides violently with his present, had me on the edge of my seat.
The characters are as vivid as the carnage. Detective Morris is a perfect anchor, grizzled and world-weary yet determined to solve this grotesque case. And the victims, like Delilah and Benson Bailey, are more than just fodder for the slaughter—they’re flawed, complex, and tragically human.
Phillips’s writing is raw and unflinching, blending dark humor with relentless tension. The setting—a mix of luxury film sets and isolated murder scenes—creates a claustrophobic atmosphere that amplifies the horror. The pacing is relentless, with just enough downtime for the mystery to simmer before exploding into chaos.
If you’re a fan of splatterpunk, extreme horror, or stories that don’t shy away from the grotesque, Girth is an absolute must-read. Just don’t expect to sleep peacefully afterward. 😉
Was this meant to be a horror comedy? Or am I just a psychopath who loves peen mutilation?
I can pretty much summarize this book in two words...Chop chop.
I'll add a few more by saying if you want something surprisingly spicy with a bunch of peens being chopped right the fuck off then check this out. I loved it. Was it preDICKtable? yes, but still a good time.
