This was an engaging YA story. On its face it’s a sweet celebrity, childhood sweethearts, lost memory romance. Under the surface, there is intrigue, secrecy, and conflict, not to mention family drama. The romance was lovely as they found each other again, with the complication of memory loss. I liked the characters and the layers that the secondary characters added to the story. I liked Josie’s family. The main characters were so tender and supportive with each other, for the most part. The romance was great. I was kept guessing as to how it could all be resolved. There are some twisty and interesting events. I do question some of the legalities with having legal documents, for instance, an NDA, signed by an underage adolescent. This story includes elements that involve parental estrangement, accident, injury, hospitalization, manipulation, and anxiety. This book is part of a series and there is light carryover but it reads well as a standalone. This is a closed door romance with no harsh language.
