The Krottel have been found on Earth, yet the officials don’t seem worried. Is their trust in the safety of the planet well founded or a colossal mistake?Viera has decided to leave her teaching career. She has her hands full as one of the Pillars of earth, a magic wielder, and a person who knows about aliens. Part of this position is being subjected to the red tape of the government officials. Watching her friend, Betsy, navigate those obstacles almost makes it worth it.
Despite the krottel, an alien race, found on Earth, the officials decide the threat isn’t large enough to take action. Concerned their lackadaisical approach will precipitate disaster for earth, but unable to do anything about it, Viera heads to Abritos, the chanzii home planet, with Thorn to see if it’ll be ready for their repopulation soon.
Everything seems to be going in the right direction for both Thorn’s planet and earth. But why does Thorn’s ship find a krottel ship near earth every time they scan?
This is book 3 of Harlowe Frost's Magic of the Galaxy series. It's a great series and one I've thoroughly enjoyed. Did you know there are aliens amongst us? And different shapes, sizes, and temperaments? The series is a sapphic love story between a human elementary school teacher, Viera, and the shape-changing space commander, Thorn, she falls in love with. Overall the series is highly imaginative, low on violence, and a little spicy here and there. It's all kinds of fun to read! But wait, there's more! Book four is scheduled for Christmas 2025. Merry Christmas to me. I can't wait.
Viera and Thorn’s adventure continues when a krottel ship is spotted hovering near Earth. Unfortunately Betsy’s contacts at the government agency in on the secret of aliens doesn’t take the warnings delivered to them seriously. And so the fun begins. I’ve loved this series. The world-building, the different alien species and the magic have been fantastic. I’m hoping we get at the minimum a short story to see how things are for Viera, Thorn, Betsy and Scout after the exciting climax to this book.
With every book in the series, enjoyed them more and more. I loved seeing more mythology and popular culture mythology woven into the story. I immensely enjoyed seeing Viera really come into her own and stand up for herself with others, and learning more about Betsy's background as well. The story action kept building almost to the very end, but was very satisfying. I'd like to see more of Viera and Thorne's story eventually.
I believe this is the last book in the Magic of the Galaxy series, and what a wonderful story! I get more and more amazed by Viera's growth of her mighty magic powers and the sweet intimate relationship between she and Thorn, the strong leader of the planet Abritos. I especially love the description of the idyllic world of the deserted Abritos, such an environmental friendly planet. I am happy with the ending and it has been a very enjoyable ride together with the young and talented elementary teacher Viera!
This whole series hovers between a 3 and a four for, usually rounding up from the 3.5 area. The story is entertaining, the characters are interesting enough, the base writing decent enough. There was improvement from the first book to this one. There is still some work that needs done with scene writing. Still enjoyable enough to continue reading the series.
I have loved everything this author has written that I’ve read. This was such a peaceful ending to a conflict brewing for three books so far. Usually good triumphs over evil, but in this book, there was an interesting twist. A little bit spicy at certain points.
Last in the series as I said for book 2 same pertains to this one. You really should read the others to understand what’s going on. I love the way this story progressed. I’m not sure I wanted it to end! There’s so much more this story could have!
The intrigue, conflict, romance, magic and imagination in this series is off the charts awesome. I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves these ingredients. Especially if you have some of them in yourself!!
The 3rd in the series Conflict Lessons: Sapphic Space Fantasy is very good and entertaining keeps you reading til the end. I want more Viera and Thorns series.
I just finished reading this amazing book. I truly enjoyed Thorn and Verias' story. The book continues from where the last one left off. The Krottel have been discovered on Earth, and their spaceship is heading toward our planet. Betsy is working hard to make the government understand the impending danger, but they believe they know best. Meanwhile, everyone is returning to the space station to assist Tiffany and her parents in returning to their planet. There are many exciting developments in this book. I particularly enjoyed seeing how Veria was progressing with her powers. It seems like she discovers new abilities in every book.
The gang returns and Viera makes big life changes after her life has changed in a big way. After finding the krottel bug, things happen to change for earth as well. The pillars and Aliens's hands are forced into doing something that everyone guarded against. I feel sad for the choice that Viera makes in the end for love. But we all sometimes makes those kinds of sacrifice for the ones we love. I loved the book and I hope there is more to the story to come, even if it focus's on Betsy and what happens at the end of this book.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
