Viera has spent years teaching and guiding others. Can she turn the tables and become a student? Back on earth, Viera returns to her calling as an elementary school teacher.. The problem is her time in space has changed her and it’s affecting more than just her ability to do magic—it’s touching every aspect of her life.
Viera realizes she needs to understand her magic before it masters her. Though there are people willing to help her out, she’s forced to work with a cantankerous trainer who treats her like an ignorant child.
Meanwhile, her relationship with Thorn, her student’s mother, is heating up. They both know it’s short term, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth pursuing.
Can Viera learn her new craft while hiding everything she’s discovered from the mere humans?
In this book 2 of the Galaxy series, we found more of the wonderful magics our newbie witch in training gained without realizing. I love the author's imagination of a miracle world and all the characters are amusing and fun, especially the lovely couple, even though they are from different planet, and are of different species, their love is sweet and real. A great book to escape the everyday troubles and immerge in the perfect chaos.
Oh my that was unexpected. Some interesting twists and turns happening in this book. A great expansion on the first book. I don't want to give spoilers, but Viera's life really changed since she was accidentally beamed up. And she got un expected help from her friend Betsy.
Now I am patiently waiting for the next book to see what will happen to all of them and the Krottel.
This is the second book in the series, picking up where the first one left off. It all takes place on Earth, as Viera learns about her new magic and how to control them with the help of Betsy and Flower Pancer. We also get to meet some of the pillars of Earth and learn more about Betsy and her family. I really enjoyed the first book and this one didn't disappoint. It ended with another cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next book. I would definitely recommend this series.
These are fun, original and this one is more closed door, ftb
I prefer the much less explicit, closed door approach that this volume, #2 has. It is a refreshing change from the very graphic sex scenes in Vol1. The relationships between MC’s are all warmly written and I am more interested in the fledgling couple, their Second grader, and all their people’s comings and goings than in their sex. There are plenty of opportunities for fun, wonder even tenderness in these adventures! The ‘I was kidnapped accidentally- and by aliens!!’ trope (huh?) is new to me, but here it’s very, very good! This series is lively and curiously smart among the not so typical culture shock gags. Most unusual systems of science & magic I’ve ever read and intriguing, imaginative aliens! I hope Thorn, Viera and everyone keep Ms. Frost busy writing many more books with terrific and exotic interstellar travels ahead.
In the second book of the trilogy, we get to see how life has changed for Viera since she became a pillar. Her relationship with Thorn continues earthside but to what extent? Flower Prancer is giving her lessons about learning to control her magic but it’s not going too well. Plus, Betsy her best friend isn’t all that Viera thinks she is. If that’s not enough, a student at school causes her concern. So much going on and that’s just skimming the surface. Another great book, that kept up the intrigue despite being located back at home where it all started. Looking forward to the third and final book.
This book was simply amazing and made me want to reread the first book and beg the author to hurry up with the next book. I love the world building in this series and the character devolopment. The struggles and wonders of learning magic were wonderfully written down and I could visualize myself performing them (if I could of course). It was interesting to read how the aliens had settled on Earth and the differences that were discussed from how they normally lived (on their home planets). The developing relationship between Thorn and Viera was also nice to see, especially the fact that it doesn't happen too fast, it feels authentic. Plus, there are dragons and unicorns :) Or better said qynads and yonats... So if you have read the first book and liked it, you'll definitely like this one as well. If you haven't, you should probably start with the first book, which I can definitely recommend! Of course, I should warn you as well to only start reading while you have enough time, because you will not want to put it down.
Yay for this book series. I love the explanation of mythical creatures in our world. The relationships are definitely developing more in this book. The end should have been expected but delightfully was not.
Vieva is back on earth from space and back to her job teaching. She feels different now, her ability to do magic she wants to learn more about it and master it. Meeting Torn in book 1 and now relationship with her. I have enjoyed reading book 1 and 2 and looking forward for 3. Excellent read !
Another wild ride from Harlowe Frost and her cast of aliens, wizards, and shapechangers. This is book two of the Magic of the Galaxy trilogy. It's as entertaining as the first installment, and introduces new creatures, conflicts, as well as deepening relationships. I can't wait for book three!
This book is the second in the series and I strongly recommend reading the first one otherwise you’ll literally be lost in space! (See what I did there 😂) the first book ended in a cliffhanger and boy does this one too! I will say this cliffhanger had me a pit more flustered 😂
This actually took a nice tick forward from the last book. Still just a bit of work or well smoothness/show the chemistry with those scenes, but better wording for sure. Will keep reading.
