National Singles Day

Ladies & gentlemen, buckle those seat belts . . .

The moment I stepped onto the plane and Jack handed me a flute of champagne, I knew I was in trouble.

Our hands brushed, and I lost myself in his crystalline gaze.

Gah! Just stop!

That sounds like some kind of sappy romance. I'm a freakin' baseball player, a strong guy, a real dude. Sure, I play for the Memphis Mangos, basically the Harlem Globetrotters of America's pastime, but I'm a serious player, doggonit.

I would never turn to mush or have wobbly legs over a guy, certainly not in front of a planeload of men who'd love nothing more than to give me sh.. for the next twelve days of our vacation.

And I would never give him my phone number and email address, then let him fly me to his hometown for a five-day first date.

That would be insane, right?

Man, it was awesome. He was so amazing and hot and . . .

And yes, every time Jack looks at me, my world tilts. When that stupid curl falls across his forehead and refuses to stay back, no matter how many times I shove it into place for him, I swoon just a little bit more.

But I don't need a man. I'm single and happy. I'm totally self-sufficient. Romance is for wimps.

And then he kissed me and . . .

Man, I’m screwed.

National Singles Day is a hilariously romantic, low angst, utterly irreverent m/m romance in which men separated by distance find love and comfort in each other's arms—and in the claws of a cat. A found family of lifelong friends rounds out this cast of smokin' hot, cheeky, sometimes snarky characters who will make you laugh until you piddle.

Yeah, you. I see you. You're a piddle in the making.

While 96.7% of this novel is humorous and light, there is one scene in which a character grapples with unresolved feelings from a relative's suicide that occurred sometime in the past.

Aside from that, the book is basically a warm blanket and hot chocolate on a wintery day - oh, and there's spice. Lots of spice. Don't burn your tongue.

National Singles Day is the seventh book in the Nashville Spicy series by Casey Morales. These books can be read as stand alones but the characters are all present in each other’s books so if you have read the previous books, it would deepen your connection to the story. I tend to base my rating of a book on my emotional response to it, the connection I feel to the characters and if I felt THEIR connection. I often talk about the swoon factor in my reviews. I can honestly tell you that I felt it ALL in this book. I felt the connection between these two from the start and as they gave in to their feelings, I swooned my head off! It may have helped that I had the cover image in my head to help me along! I mean, look at that face!

Stephan (Steph) Breeden is twenty five years old. We met him in the previous book, A Nashville Spicy Christmas, as Nate and Cooper’s friend. Steph plays with Nate on the Memphis Mangoes baseball team. The Memphis Mangoes is the baseball equivalent to the Harlem Globetrotters. You have to be a good baseball player but the team includes all sorts of hilarity in their performances. They are wildly popular and sell out every game. When we first meet Steph, it’s the off season and Nate has brought him along on the Christmas cruise he and the entire gang are on. And it’s on the plane at the very beginning of their vacation when the flight attendant serves him a glass of champagne, their fingers touch, and their futures are forever changed.

Jack Sutton lives in Atlanta and is a flight attendant for Delta Airlines. Jack loves his job and he’s good at it. But Jack has bigger dreams too. Dreams he is slowly working towards making come true. It was just a routine flight that day. The day he served the most beautiful man he has ever seen. As soon as their hands touched, he knew that he was something special.

“This man, this breathtakingly beautiful man stirred something in me, a deep longing that tugged at my senses and begged me to get closer to him.”

Texting turns to phone calls which eventually turns into a five day first date. Very quickly, their bond strengthens and grows. But Jack is a busy flight attendant that works out of Atlanta. Steph is a professional baseball player that is based out of Memphis. How could this even work? Both of their jobs keep them on the road more often than not. But the bond that is forming is stronger than they realize. Could the feelings that are forming be strong enough to withstand the miles between them?

This is such a wonderful book and addition to this series. I loved spending time with a couple of the other previous couples as well. But these two together were just so beautiful. The things they said! I melted. And that little cat of Jack’s kind of stole the show!! I have loved this whole series and don’t know if this is the end or if there might be more. I selfishly hope that Casey is dreaming up more of these wonderful men to add to this found family. So if you haven’t started the series yet, I highly recommend that you do. Each book is like a hug. I hope you love them as much as I have!

Rating: 3.7 ⭐

- Found Family

This book made me giggle like an idiot for most of it. Yes, it's a bunch of grown men acting like children throwing friendly, mostly sexual, barbs at each other all in the name of family and love. They're athletes so I expect nothing less when it comes to how they speak with each other. Now, this of course might turn some people off of this book so I thought I would put it out there that most of this is silly in a make you belly laugh way.

It does feel like you jump into their lives from the get and hit the ground running. Jack is a flight attendant and a member of the National Guard, with aspirations of becoming a pilot for his current company Delta after finishing a rigorous program from the Guard. He's on an international leg for his next flight and he's been told that the top class of the plane has been sold out to one group and he's assigned to them. In walk the Mangoes baseball team and all of the shenanigans. The Mangoes are akin to the Bananas team, if you've ever heard of them. Jack and Steph are pretty much struck dumb upon first sight and it's cute to watch the roles reverse multiple times with who is confident and when. They blush, they flirt, snark all around, a little getting to know you, and a kiss before they get off the plane. Both men were struck with feelings they've never had before for another person, leaving them uncertain but hopeful.
“Yeah. Guess I just wanted to hear your voice.” I nearly melted right there on the sidewalk. Seriously, people would have to step over the puddle of Jack just to get by. It would’ve been horrifying. “Really?”

The whole time Steph is on his cruise with the team, he's texting with Jack. They're smitten from the beginning and the text conversations are hysterical throughout. You never know when they're going to be serious, silly, or lewd. So of course, Jack gets himself assigned to the teams return flight. Cuteness overload on the way back to Memphis and another kiss! Here starts the long-distance situation they have going. After contacting each other daily for a while, Jack invites Steph to come visit him in Atlanta, for five whole days. They have a great long first date, which was really several dates packed into the vacation. Their connection was so strong that they couldn't deny how they felt for each other and that they wanted to continue the relationship.

There are struggles with schedules once the baseball season starts and Jack starting his guard pilot training program. Steph is also struggling with himself and his sense of abandonment from his family. After losing his brother, his family fell apart and left him on his own. He has a constant fear that if he lets anyone get to close romantically that they will eventually leave him as well. They have to communicate with each other and work around their time off in order to stay together, against all the odds.

This is a feel-good story with a HEA ending so you know that they find their way. I'll have to check out some of the other books in the series because the teammates and their partners were something else and seem to have great backstories.

DNF at 40%. This book is just not resonating with me. I can't even put my finger on it. Lots of witty dialogue, texts but I am at 40% and the two MC's are having their first real date. Lots of other good reviews, must be me.

Fly Me To The Mangos - 🥭

I’m so jealous of Steph, he stole my Jack’s heart when they first met above in the clouds.

Everything about their story from the first minute to the final paragraph was so adorable. Plus all their fabulous friends, Nate and Cooper especially who helped keep Steph grounded, pardon the pun, when Jack was miles away, flying high, for his Pilot’s Licence. Eli, Jack’s roommate in Atlanta, is one crazy guy, no filter and such fun, really.

When Jack has to be away in the clouds or Guards Training, Steph’s secret fears plague him. Even Jack didn’t know the reason at the time. Really felt Steph’s pain there.

Jack and Steph are such a great fit, their banter and snark is hilarious at times.

Casey has done an excellent job in bringing this lighthearted Mango Feast to our bookshelves, love and laughs, nothing better than that to make us feel so good.

BTW, this Cover captured Jack exactly how Casey describes him in ‘ National Singles Day’, absolutely gorgeous.

ARC review of National Singles Day, written by Casey Morales
This book geta 4* from me with a cherry on top!

Wohw, after the first few lines you feel like you're in the middle of the main characters' lives. Jump in, empathize, laugh, feel good. Steph and Jack are two wonderful, unique characters who each have their own fears to deal with but are also strong enough to jump over their shadows and face new circumstances.

Love at first sight? No way! A bit of flirting, a bit of texting without expectations, until curiosity and attraction win out and both take the first decisive step towards each other. At first Steph and Jack don't really know how to deal with the undeniable instant attraction.
It's a slow-burning start that really picks up speed with the first few days spent together. And then it gets hot and spicy!
Their circumstances don't seem to give them a chance, especially the great distance between their homes. And this is their story, Steph and Jack have to trust themselves and each other. Nothing is as difficult to overcome as your own insecurity, jumping in at the deep end and simply giving the unknown a chance.

With the seventh book in the Nashville series, we meet some of the main characters from the previous books, which, if you've read them, makes National Singles Day a wonderfully smoothly written sequel. Casey Morales has a unique writing style that immediately draws you in. The dialog is so humorous and to the point that laughter should be a hobby of readers.

Steph struggles with himself, whether he should really let Jack into his life, overcoming his personal fears and giving the relationship a chance, against all odds, is his challenge.
Jack must learn to trust that his relationship with Steph is strong enough to withstand the physical separation.
As announced in the foreword, this is a feel-good story with a HEA ending. I would have liked the book to be a few chapters longer so I could have enjoyed the ending a little more.

Maybe we'll get another book in this series from Casey Morales. A few new characters have already been introduced.
I can recommend the whole Nashville series. Each book is about different couples, very different fates. I particularly like the fact that the main characters from each book keep reappearing, so the author creates a family that is fun to watch.

I am so happy that I received an advanced review copy for free, it was joy to read this book. I leave this review voluntary.

When Steph met Jack on that plane, their lives changed forever. There were feelings both had never felt before, but the future was so uncertain, it didn’t seem possible it could go anywhere. But the connection was stronger than circumstances and distance, compelling them to find a way to their HEA.

Engaging characters, a long distance relationship carried on through various modes of communication, a scruffy fur ball loved by both, crazy friends on both sides, miles in the sky, and steamy times when they could be together, all worked to bring them home. Another great read from Casey Morales.

This was a sweet, fun little read that I assume is the end of the series. Well done, I’m impressed how well this author has grown and found a fuller voice. I’m also happy this series was focused on baseball rather than hockey. The protagonists was sweet and drama free.

This is definitely a 5+ read.

We met Steph and Jack in A Nashville Spicey Christmas. I suggest you read that book, along with all the others. Trust me, you will thank me. Steph is a new addition to the Memphis Mangoes team.  Jack is a fight attended for the Delta One. They met when Steph was headed to on a cruise that was planned by Cooper (read that book). Jack was such a huge flirt on the flight. They exchanged numbers and texted each other here and there. In the return flight, Jack surprised Steph by being the attendant.

This book is being advertised as Laugh out loud funny. Well, I am here to tell you that's no joke.  You will wet your pants and have tears running down your face from laughter. I always get so excited when we get a new Nashville Spicy book. I adore this group. They are the best of friends.

Jack's friend, Eli, is right up there with the Sam and Miguel's humor. Be prepared to lose is when Eli meets Steph for the first time. Nice to see. Copper is still the same with his word vomit.
When Jack tells Steph his cat Rudus, looked like road kill.... The laughs just keep coming.

National Singles Day by Casey Morales is the 7th book in his Nashville Spicy series. It is the heartfelt story of two men who meet unexpectedly, or maybe by fate, who face some big obstacles in their way to finding love. Steph Breeden plays catcher for the Memphis Mangoes, an all-out fun, crazy baseball team that wows the crowds wherever they go. He is going on a cruise that starts in Barcelona with other baseball friends and family who he doesn’t know very well but is excited to get to be with them. One of his best friends, Nate, and his husband Cooper have planned the get away and booked the best accommodations, starting with the flight in the best section Delta has. Jack Sutton is the flight attendant in that section and when they both see each other sparks fly. Jack is a big flirt and knows how to handle people while Steph is somewhat shy and embarrasses easily until he gets to know them and then can throw the snark with the best of them. They talk on the plane and realize there might be something there so they text during the cruise and Jack surprises him when he goes home. They do have one big problem, and that is that Jack lives in Atlanta and Steph in Memphis and with their schedules it will be hard to get together, but they feel something so they want to make it work. They visit when they can and learn more about each other, and the more they learn, the more they know they want to be together. Steph has some issues with people leaving him so he is worried that this might happen again. Jack is so busy between flying all over the world, being in the National Guard, and his dream of becoming a commercial airline pilot. They make the time they have together count with lots of fun outings, meeting each other’s friends, and having lots of very hot love scenes. Each time they have to go home it gets harder and they leave a part of their hearts with the other one. Then Jack gets an opportunity he can’t pass up that brings them to an epiphany and they declare their love and know they will wait as long as it takes for them to be together full time. The ending was beautiful and so heartfelt and full of love it will keep you thinking about this story for a long time. I really enjoyed this book, as I have all of the others in the series (which you may want to read first for reoccurring characters and their stories). Mr. Morales has a writing style that makes you want to keep reading to find out what will happen next. I also love the snarky banter and fun scenes he puts his characters in as well as the feelings they show for each other and their friends. Steph was such a nice guy, shy at first and then being able to step up with the snark and giving as good as he got. Jack was wonderful in that he was so hopeful that this could work out but also wary that even with all their effort they may not get what they want. Their friends were hysterical, especially Jack’s best friend Eli, and Steph’s friends Nate and Cooper who they spend a lot of time with. And the scenes on the cruise had me laughing so hard I was almost crying. I have to mention Rufus, Jack’s cat, who was the star of every scene he was in. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories about men who have a bit of a past that haunts them, some baseball and flying involved, and obstacles to overcome before they can finally get their happy ending. It won’t disappoint.

National Singles Day by Casey Morales is the next chapter in the Nashville Spicy world. It is an absolute delight that had me hooded from the very first page. This book effortlessly bends humour, romance, and a touch of spice, making it a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Steph and Jack are wonderful unique characters, each with their own fears and insecurities, yet they navigate through them with strength and courage. We first meet them in A Nashville Spicy Christmas, and I almost immediately knew they were going to be remarkable characters.

What I loved most about this book is its ability to capture the essence of two charming characters navigating the complexities of attraction and relationships, particularly long distance relationships. Despite their instant attraction, there’s no love at first sight cliché here. Instead, we see Steph and Jack’s connection develop gradually, starting with playful flirting and text exchanges. The slow-burning nature of their romance adds depth to their relationship, making their eventual love feel genuine and earned. This journey from playful banter to deep connection is both heartwarming and entertaining.

Casey has knack for crafting engaging dialogue that is both humorous and heartfelt. The banter between characters is witty and entertaining, drawing readers further into the story and making it hard to put the book down. While the storyline may seem straightforward, the depth of emotion and relatability of the characters elevate it to something truly special.

Additionally, the author seamlessly weaves in appearances from beloved characters from previous books in the series creating a sense of continuity and camaraderie. Having Nate and Coop at the right moments of the novel was like entering to a familiar home. Coop being Coop was a highlight addition to the plot.

I can assert without any risk of being mistaken that Jack and Steph have carved their way to place themselves prominently in my affections. I can’t decide if they are my favourites within the series, but they certainly hold one of the top spots. And what can I say about Rufus? A wonderful secondary character. The book wouldn’t be the same without him. Yawl!

Casey mentioned that this would probably be the last book in the series. I’m not sure if I’m ready for it to be so. I wouldn’t mind reading Eli’s story. And a new door has been opened in the last chapter… Let’s see what surprises the author has in store for us in the future. I’m sure that regardless of the universe it’s set in, the book will be awesome.

Overall, National Singles Day is a feel-good romance that left me grinning from ear to ear. It’s the perfect blend of laughter, swoon-worthy moments, and heartwarming love. Whether you’re a fan of the Nashville Spicy series or new to Casey’s work, this book is sure to delight. I highly recommend it.

I received an ARC from the author for free, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.

Casey saved the best for last! This is the 7th and final installment in his Nashville Spicy series. It could stand alone, but the two MC's meet in the previous book and it's much richer if you have that introduction first. I am on record saying this is the best book of the 7, IMHO. Jack & Steph seem so believable as real people and their connection to each other is very genuine - you don't have to stretch in order to relate to these guys or their circumstances.

Steph is single and a teammate of Nate on the Memphis Mangos baseball team (same concept as the Savannah Bananas vids you see on Tik Tok). Jack is a senior flight attendant for Delta. They meet when Jack is working the Delta One section on a flight Jack is on with Nate, his partner Coop, and their found family. Sparks fly and they exchange numbers. Lo and behold, Jack gets himself assigned to their return flight 2 weeks later. More banter and some time alone in the galley and sparks are flying. They start a text & FaceTime relationship, then agree to meet again in Atlanta for a 5-day "date". From there we get to follow them on a roller-coaster adventure to their eventual HEA.

Steph & Jack have to overcome obstacles including Steph's fear of abandonment and how to deal with long-distance romance. But the angst is very mild. The hook for me in this book is the non-stop banter between the MC's and all the supporting cast. The dialogue in this book is really special and keeps you turning the pages to find out who is going to say what next. This is exactly how guys - particularly gay guys - talk and communicate. Very relatable.

Gottta admit, the title threw me a curveball. Singles is a baseball term and I thought we were going down that path since it's Steph's profession. While baseball is heavily involved, when you find out the real meaning you will chuckle. It's always sad when a series ends. I know it's fiction but I feel like I know all these guys for real. And that's a credit to Casey for writing so skillfully. Hopefully he'll revisit this group in the coming years so we get a glimpse of how their lives have evolved. 5 stars!

National Singles Day (Nashville Spicy 7)
By Casey Morales
Published by the author, 2024
Four stars

This has been such a fun series, and I guess this is the finale. Just the first book focused on a sort of side character (Joe), this last chapter lets us learn more about Stephan Breeden, one of Nate Stringer’s fellow Memphis Mangoes baseball players. We met Steph on the extravagant group vacation featured in Nashville Spicy Christmas, and it is also there that we witnessed his initial flirtation with Jack Sutton.

Jack lives in Atlanta, a high-level flight attendant for Delta Airlines. Steph lives and works in Memphis, with the seasonal, peripatetic life typical of ball players. They barely got to know each other in the last book—but Steph understood that Jack had made special arrangements to be on their return flight from Barcelona.

That’s more than just flirting, right?

In this book we learn about Jack’s lifelong dreams, and Steph’s haunted past. Jack’s an optimistic guy—but his ambitions are big and promise to keep him very busy. Steph is the pessimist here—it’s hard for him to believe that he will ever find happiness. The big question is whether these two guys are are obviously smitten with each other will be able to make it work.

Then there’s the cat, Rufus. I’m more of a dog guy, but I confess that a funny cat is never a bad idea for a romance. And, of course, there’s Cooper and Nate, who brought Steph along on vacation on a sort of a whim. A fateful whim.

The irony perhaps is that this last of the Nashville Spicy books has nothing about Nashville in it. What it does have it a big warm heart and the idea of a chosen family that supports its members no matter where they are.

DNF’d at 40%. I feel like I keep getting hoodwinked by books and not in a good way. I try to look at the rating of the book without looking at the reviews so that I don’t spoil anything. But I should have read them. This book was rated high and I’m not sure why. The writing and editing wasn’t good. The story line was terrible. The overly shy but bluntness was cringe worthy. Steph being so forward especially with other couples within his group of “family” gave me the ick so bad. I guess this is just my pet peeve but the texting conversations should’ve been flipped. Whoever was writing in that POV should’ve been blue and the responder should’ve been gray not the other way around. In one of the chapters in the beginning Jack was talking to Eli (the best friend) Eli was bringing up the nicknames for Steph and Jack gets possessive and is supposed to say Steph, but in the book says Jack. I’m pretty sure this was an editing mistake. I feel like this was throughout what I read and it just seemed sloppily written and edited. and how can you be possessive to a man you’ve barely met??? Also how can you be possessive to someone that is supposed to be your best friend. I could be understanding to an outsider or stranger to be possessive under the right circumstances but to your best friend who is simply asking about the nicknames for his crush??? Eww. I had high hopes for this book, I needed something that was cute, funny, and spicy. But it was giving second hand embarrassment.

A lovely romance to finish off the series

This was very light-hearted, with Steph and Jack laughing their way into love and happy ever after. It was a very fitting end to a series that has been full of heart and wonderful characters, and had me in fits of laughter at times (thanks, Cooper) and tearing up at others (Nick meeting Ethan).
Steph had a big heart but was insecure for good reason, never thinking he deserved to be loved or that anyone would stay. Jack knew what he wanted out of life but hadn't found who he wanted until the moment HE walked onto his plane. Both men were smitten though spending time together when they lived in different cities, Steph was always on the road and Jack was always flying away, was incredibly difficult to plan.
I loved Steph and Jack individually and as a couple. They were such good characters and I completely believed in them and their commitment to each other. Seeing Steph with his best friends, Coop and Nate, was an unexpected treat. We didn't get much Jack and his best friend, Eli, but they were so funny together. Eli deserves his own book, methinks.
I loved seeing a glimpse of Sam and Miguel but more importantly, being treated to more Cooper Hawk word vomit was absolutely priceless. Coop is my number one favourite Casey character and it will be nigh on impossible to knock him off that perch.

When I met Jack and Steph in A Nashville Spicy Christmas, I knew I needed their story immediately. If you haven't read any of the others in this Nashville Spicy series, you definitely need to check this family out.

I absolutely loved the development of their relationship. With them meeting the way they did and the distance between them, it felt like a very natural progression. I enjoyed watching them grow together and figure out how to make it work for them. There are so many swoon worthy moments for these two guys, and they definitely bring all the spice. Jack was so supportive when it came to Steph while their relationship was growing. I'm a big fan of text conversations between characters, and these two definitely have some fabulous ones. But I was also so excited to see Nate and Cooper being there for Steph. But to see them accept and bring Jack into their little was so wonderful. Oh, and we can't forget Jack's cat Rufus and his roommate/bestie Eli.

There are so many things that I could go on and on about, but reading their journey is the best part. So, if you are looking for something that puts you in your feels but will also make you laugh, then this one is definitely for you. I can't wait to see what comes next for us with the surprise Steph gets and the new adventures coming.

A wholly entertaining new Casey Morales winner!

Florida author Casey Morales continues his excellent series Nashville Spicy that manages to mix such themes as sports bias, gender identity, life focus decisions, and foster care facilities with his MM erotica. Book 7 – NATIONAL SINGLES DAY – demonstrates Casey’s impressive gift for character building, introducing two dissimilar men in Steph Breeden (a catcher for the Memphis Mangoes baseball team) and Jack Sutton (a rather complex flight attendant from Atlanta). The two inordinately well sculpted young men meet in the sky (on an airplane!) and begin a hesitant but exciting romance, at first confined to that ever present texting platform but soon developing into a zesty, smoldering-to-passionate relationship, abetted by side characters (both human and animal!) that make this one of Casey’s very best novels to date! There is so much about this novel that is entertaining, both in laugh out loud comedic moments and steaming physical encounter scenes. Just when we think Casey has written his best novel, another one moves in to challenge that notion. Very highly recommended.

I read everything Casey writes; this latest modern romance is just as good as his past Nashville Spicy stories.

Steph is a Memphis Mango, something like a Harlem Globetrotter for baseball. He takes a trip with his other gay friends and a 70-ish Broadway diva to the Caribbean. On the plane, he meets a charming, gorgeous flight attendant, Jack, and sparks fly. A phone number is handed to him, and off we go. They text. They like each other, but it seems impossible. Then they meet again on the way back to the U.S., and there is one kiss. Huh? But soon, they find ways to see each other and be together in the hottest possible ways. They learn each other's hopes and fears. Steph has never had anyone love him for real in the past. They witness each other's careers and manage to spend a year mostly apart while Jack trains to be a pilot in the Air Force Reserves. There is so much tension--we want them to be together, but how can that work? Casey swoops in with a deux ex machina to solve the problem, and we can all breathe again.

I received an ARC of this book from BookSirens and left this review happily.

Airline steward Jack Sutton is cordial, inviting and beautiful – everything a good steward is supposed to be. Beneath his attractive exterior, however, lies a very talented and complex man with real ambitions and goals. When Jack meets the gorgeous baseball player Stephan Breeden on an international flight to Barcelona, he is instantly smitten by the 6’2” blond surfer-like athlete. Going out of his comfort zone, so to speak…. mainly because Jack hasn’t had a great deal of experience with relationships – he ramps up the courage to get Steph’s phone number. Texting back and forth like junior-high students, the two men form a bond that is more than just lust. But can they make a relationship work when they live in completely different worlds?

National Singles Day is a fun, entertaining and sweet romance. I especially love the way the book is written – the whimsical interactions between Jack and Steph are both heartwarming and endearing… so much so that the reader can’t help but to fall in love with them both. The plot is especially amusing and well-constructed. I never knew what was going to happen next, especially because Steph and Jack both are blessed with such multi-dimensional personalities and dispositions.

I really enjoyed the secondary characters in this book, as well. Jack’s friends Emma and Eli, and Steph’s baseball team friends Sam and Miguel especially add a charming sense of familial love to the lives of our main characters. And, of course, there is also Jack’s pet cat Rufus - who loves both men unconditionally, and delightfully serves as the mascot to this wonderful novel!

National Singles Day is a fabulous romance – full of good feelings, and the belief that the best things in life happen when you least expect them! Definitely 5 stars for this witty and heartening novel!

National Singles Day is the latest in his Nashville Spicy series. We met both Steph and Jack in A Nashville Spicy Christmas, where their story was hinted at. Now we get all the details in a delicious, fully-fledged story.
They meet cute on Delta One, but when the flight lands, Jack is on the next flight back, and Steph is starting an epic Christmas vacation with his friends. They keep in touch with texts and FaceTime, which is a sweet getting to know you.
But… Steph lives in Memphis and Jack in Atlanta. And both their jobs are crazy busy, with Steph the catcher of the Memphis Mangoes and Jack a Delta flight attendant working on his pilot’s license.
Some quick thoughts:
🌶 I love how we keep seeing characters from the series pop up. This boisterous, loving, take-no-prisoners found family is always entertaining.
🌶 It’s hard to be funny and steamy. But Casey manages it. Every. Single. Time.
🌶 Circumstances make this a slow burn sizzle until they finally spend time alone, and then 🔥🔥🔥
🌶 Jack just smolders on the cover, doesn’t he?
🌶 Both have issues with trust and letting people in. But when they agree to commit, it’s wonderful.
🌶 I wouldn’t call this a stand-alone. I would at least read A Nashville Spicy Christmas before this because there is a great recap of every couples story and you get another perspective of Jack and Steph’s story.
Both characters are charming, caring, and decent men that you’re going to root for to be together.
It really is as LOL funny as advertised. With an extra large helping of spiciness. 😉
As always, Casey does an amazing job creating a world you just fall into, and fall in love with.

Such a beautiful "instalove" story. One of the best that I've ever read.

Now, I have to say, the fact that this is a kind of "at first sight love" doesn't mean these guys didn't fight for their well earned HEA. They have to work hard to overcome the obstacles that their very different careers and schedules present but a very honest communication and the deep attraction and bond they feel from the beginning stronger.

It's not easy. They live in different states, and sometimes weeks and months go by without them being able to see each other in person, but Steph and Jake know that what they feel is beautiful and unique that it is something worth fighting for.

Also, the whole Nashville's gang is in this book!!! But especially my beautiful Cooper and Gabe and that makes this story even more special.

As always Casey manages, with the same beautiful and refreshing writing style, to create a story that makes you feel what the characters feel.

I was given an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

National Singles day by Casey Morales is a fun, sweet, sexy and a bit spicy romance that follows

Airline steward Jack Sutton and Baseball player Stephan Breeden.

Jack is pleasant, inviting and beautiful. Not only is he attractive but also talented, ambitions and goals oriented. Jack meets gorgeous and athletic Stephan on an international flight to Barcelona.

The seventh book in this series is an engaging, entertaining and sweet romance. The book is well written with realistic characters and a beautiful storyline. There are touching interactions between the characters which makes you fall in love with them and their romance. The secondary characters, Emma and Eli, Sam and Miguel and even Rufus the cat bring in extra dimension and additional antics.

This novel brought all of the things I look for in a romance- excitement, spice, a great story and a perfect couple.

🥰 sports romance

Book just drove in from word go. so much banter between ALL the characters. The MCs are in instant like LIKE with one another.

Adult men having spicy sticky dreams 💦
🍌 ball but make it 🥭 ball
Found family

Ultimately this was emotional and lovely but really it's the light hearted interactions in this book that really stood out and left me happy with this read.

I was a little disappointed I had no issues putting this down to do other things, I really liked what I was reading but it just didn’t have a vice grip on me and couldn’t keep me up past my bed time.

Super long, I feel like 100 pages could have been cut and it would have still been good. It was SLOW. Literally would have been perfect if it kept the pace of the first and last few chapters.

Seeing as this is the 7th book in the The Nashville Spicy series and was my first, I’ll likely go back and read the love stories for the guys I met in this book.

"National Singles Day" was my first foray into steamy MM romance, and I couldn't have chosen a better entry point. Drawn to its comedy tag, I was pleasantly surprised by how effectively it lifted my mood after working on a heavy short story. Jack, the flight attendant, and Steph, the baseball player, engaged in witty banter reminiscent of elementary school humor, which, while sometimes toeing the line, never crossed it. What I appreciated most was the author's skillful exploration of the long-distance relationship dynamic, seamlessly transitioning from first meetings to living together. Despite my preference for drama, the richness of the characters and the well-paced plot kept me thoroughly engaged. The steamy elements, balanced delicately with humor, added just the right amount of spice to the story. Overall, "National Singles Day" hit all the right notes, proving to be a delightful read that caters perfectly to its target audience.

I've never laughed so much. My jaws just hurt. this book exceeded all my expectations. The story of Jack Sutton and Steph. The way those two interacted, the fun they had together. And those jokes that Sam and Miguel made were really not normal anymore. I have honestly never laughed so much with a book. So naughty. Use of language, dickmatized. And the first time he meets Jack's cat, I went rolling on the floor. But underneath all this there is also a story, a beautiful story of two people who are also afraid, who think that what they have is too fast and therefore cannot end well. And then the distance, a long-distance relationship, they can do this. A beautifully written book. A book that you can read quickly, but you can also turn back and read it again. Especially the exciting parts, if you know what I mean. If I could give a six star I would. All I can say is Casey Morales has done it again.

Great finale

I really enjoyed this entire series. This was a great final book to wrap everything up. We don't see all of the characters again, but several of them.

Unfortunately, it lost a star for continuity and editing errors. The beginning of this book overlaps with timeline from the sixth book, but things don't match up at all. There are similarities but there are more differences. There were also a couple continuity errors within this book.

My biggest gripe is the editing. Wrong names, sentences that didn't quite make sense, just numerous things throughout. It made it feel rushed, which was a disappointment because I had loved the series so much.

Still, I was glad to read Jack and Steph's HEA. Their story involved a bigger length of time with some time jumps, but nothing that bothered me. It made sense to speed up the story in those areas. This series, especially book six, are definite rereads.

This comes closer to the 4 stars than 3. It was a good read that I enjoyed as there is plenty of humour in it. I cannot say that I was excited or that I could not put the book down.

The development of the relationship between Steph and Jack skips past the texting and calls mostly but it takes almost half the book to get to them actually spending time together. Part of that is the fact that they live in different cities and both travel in their work. I know from experience that a relationship can develop through phone calls, texts, and message over the www and would have appreciated that happening here.

I liked the surprises - two that would be spoilers if revealed but they add to the positives of the book.

I liked the quips, the snark, and the humour.

Tags: Enchanting, steamy, page-turner, entertaining, vivid and hilarious writing, feel-good, heartwarming, engaging, standalone, no cliffhangers.
I was grinning, laughing out loud, swooning, and even crying (but not too much) through this enchanting and masterfully penned novel. Casey Morales proved again that he can turn any story into a page-turning, charming book with vivid, profound, dynamic, and witty language, and I enjoyed every page of it.
The storyline is straightforward with a "guy meets guy, from instant attraction to deep love" plot. No shattering emotions, drama, angst, action, or heartbreaking events exist. It's about the hilarious, sometimes challenging, and smooth journey from attraction at first sight to a profound love for Steph and Jack.
The skillful and captivating writing, not the plot, makes you turn page after page, immersing deep into Steph and Jacks's inner world. The hilarious banter and dialog open profound insight into their thinking and emotions, making this book and both characters irresistible.
Seth and Jack are the epitome of good guys. Charming, easy-going, laid back, loyal, witty, lovable, sensitive, and irresistible with their wit, humor, and love for each other and their friends. The lyrical and insightful writing makes it easy to understand and relate to the main characters' reasoning, experiences, and emotions. A nonstop barrage of amusing, funny, profound, and sometimes heartbreaking thoughts and feelings makes you swoon over and fall in love with both characters.
The seekers of dark, suspenseful stories full of angst, drama, and complex emotions might want to skip this one.
However, lovers of the eloquent, masterful, and resonant art of writing will enjoy this book regardless of their other preferences.
Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book. This review is an independent and genuine reflection of my thoughts.

Anyone who knows me, knows I absolutely adore Casey’s style of writing, and he did not fail with this final installment of the Nashville Spicy series (which I’m really hoping is a false rumor).
In this story we see the blossoming of Steph and Jacks love story which was just hinted at in the Christmas book. These are two utterly adorkable guys that will steal your heart, at least until you meet Rufus who is the most adorable little KitKat in the world!

But this is the story of two lovers who have to decide if love conquers time and distance apart. Can true love overcome everything when it seems like you can never be in the same place enough. Casey answers these questions in a fun, lighthearted, tear bringing, laugh your bum off way!

National Singles Day is a hit!

Steph and Jack grabbed me by the heart right from the start. Their meet cute on the plane is funny and adorable and they have instant chemistry. Can the flight attendant and the baseball player (who live in different cities), manage their schedules and find time for romance?

After various attempts the men realize they need to make this relationship work. The men find a way to overcome obstacles and they fall in love.

The supporting characters are hilarious, and I wish they were my friends. They are the family that all of us would choose to have in our lives.

The book is smart, funny, hot and well written. I would highly recommend this book.

(I’m a little late on typing out my written reviews. Due to moving I lost my journal but now that I’ve found it unpacking storage it’s time to release all of my written reviews!❤️)

Spice spice steamy spice! We all love a good spicy book!! This is book 7 in the series. You can most definitely read it as a standalone but if you read all of the books you will have a better understanding of the characters and other stuff in the book. I have personally read it as a standalone and have enjoyed every bit of it. I absolutely loved the humor in this book. I love the connections in this book. I will always recommend this book! I am looking forward to starting from book one. I have heard/read nothing but amazing things about the entire series.
