When she finds herself in hot water, Lynix (H), comes to her rescue but she doesn’t quite see it that way and that’s when he realises that his mate is a feisty warrior and not the sweet, submissive one he’s been dreaming of. Despite this, he ends up loving Yanna’s spirit and these two become partners in every way.
I loved this! Considering the frosty start between these two, they romantically developed very quickly and I was wondering how the rest of the book was going to eventuate. There were some twists that we haven’t seen in any of these beloved Drixonian books before, and I really enjoyed it. I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the brother’s books.

Entonces, cuando un extraterrestre con melena de león y patas del tamaño de mi cabeza de repente actúa como si fuéramos mejores amigos, inmediatamente me pongo en guardia. Tiene un motivo oculto, y hasta que descubra cuál es, no le daré ni un milímetro.

He soñado toda mi vida con encontrar a mi pareja predestinada. También me gusta ser el héroe. Entonces, cuando salvo la vida de una pequeña y bonita humana, sé que la encontré . Excepto que ella no me ve como su salvador. Ella escupe loca, defensiva y cruel. No me siento bendecido por este compañero. Me siento maldecido. Pero no soy alguien que se dé por vencido. Mi humilde opinión:
La historia de Lynix y Yanna fue tan emocionante como la anterior de la serie. Me enganchó la aventura, acción, peligro, suspenso, criaturas alienígenas de la oscuridad, pasión con un drixonian híbrido con melena de león que aplica apasionadamente el credo "Ella lo es todo" y una valiente humana secuestrada de la tierra.
Lynix y Yanna no tuvieron un buen comienzo, por un lado ella no entendía su lengua y desconfiaba pero Lynix pronto le demostró que lo principal para él es protegerla con su vida. Yanna no es la Cora-eternal que él soñaba, ella no es sumisa sino una mujer fuerte y luchadora e independiente. No es lo que esperaba pero es la mujer que desea. A mí me gusto esta pareja, me parecieron dulces y sexys juntos. Lo mejor es que hay cero drama y mucha más acción.
Me sorprendió Kyle, el chico que sin querer adoptaron los protagonistas. Sin dudas el adolescente tenía el corazón de un drixonian! Tengo ganas de ver si tendrá su propia historia.
Estoy muy contenta de leer sobre otra de las bestias de la Reina y que tuviera su HEA. Todavía falta para que toda la familia esté unida. No puedo esperar para leer el siguiente de la serie!

This was a sweet but action packed little alien book!
It’s pretty similar to the first one where it’s an alien brother finding a human woman and then facing a bunch of dangers trying to get them to home and safety.
Good if you want a quick read with fated mates!

Quickish Review
This latest entry in the series follows Yanna, a Mexican-American woman who was taken by the Xaberians (I’m pretty sure, the big bad is never really shown except briefly) for some nefarious reason. Lynix is searching for his long lost brother, and the human women his brother’s mate said were taken, when he stumbled on Yanna being abused for stealing food to survive. Basically, she goes through alot of physical abuse throughout the book until Lynix shows up and then romance happens.
While I like the MCs, and the twist on the formula Maven has created with this Drixonian offshoot, there were a couple of things, mostly the unintended SA of the FMC by the MMC that I wasn’t fond of. Played off by the FMC s as well, it was just odd tbh. And my kingdom for a spell checker! The typos in these books feel like they’ve gotten progressively worse, like they’re rushed out the door with little care.
So yeah I’d say this SFR is really only for hard fans of Maven. And since I’ve read them all, I guess I’m one of them lol. They may not be perfect but I do find comfort in the formula, so there’s that. Onto the next.

A Fast Read
I’ve loved all of Ella’s books about the Drixonians. This spin off is an interesting story with lots of ‘laugh out loud’ moments. However, there were also many scary situations and exciting adventures that helped push the story along. I liked both of the main characters as they made me giggle often at their playful antics and constant banter.
My only issue was with the inconsistencies in parts of the story, e.g. where the FMC mentions thoughts about Drixonian females before she even knew the MMC was part Drixonian, plus there are age discrepancies with the young male further on in the story. I could be wrong and apologise if I’m mistaken. There were a number of grammatical errors and the story probably needed a little more editing.
Overall though, it was entertaining and I enjoyed it!

Her Mane Male
This was so good, keeping up with “She is All” creed from the previous series which made me so happy. Lynix is a hybrid Drixonian who rescues a human female that has been accused of stealing. Yanna has no idea why this lion maned male has rescued her and what his intentions are. But even though they have a rough start the two grow closer quickly. Of course we have evil aliens chasing the couple as they make their way back to the compound, racing against the Dark. It was exciting and scary and sexy. Everything I have come to expect from Ella Maven. I truly hope she continues to find ways to bring us more Drixonian stories. When it comes to alien romances She is All!

I'm a sucker for these kinds of books
I'm addicted. This universe that Ella Maven has created so interesting and I have to read more of it. I really love her imagination when it comes to different alien species and that she's so descriptive.
These books are a little shorter than I am used to, but I dont feel like I'm missing anything. I do wish they were a little longer just because this universe is so interesting.
There were some typos which always take me out of the story, but like the last book it was only a handful so nothing too bad.
This is the first series I've read by this author, but I'm hoping she has more series (or ones in the works) that explore more of this universe she has created.

I was actually a little disappointed with this one. I love the drixonian warrior books - I have reread them all many times. I enjoyed the first of this spin off - though it didn’t quite match up. However this one, the male character was as ass with no ideas about consent. He was crude and unpleasant. He complained about not getting laid because they had rescued a teenager and the FMC didn’t want to get naked in front of said child.
I guess I like the drixonians because they are what we would want a man to be - putting their mate first, caring, strong, protective and loving - for me, this male was everything I do not like in a partner.

I enjoyed it more until Kyle came into it. Then it was a bit cringy.
But I liked Yanna a lot. She was tough.
In classic Ella Maven there was a lot of grammar issues and confusing some characters. But it wasn’t too bad and didn’t ruin it for me.
Monster (lion man). Abducted FMC. Alien. Language barrier. MMC with fur, mane, hero complex. FMC who doesn’t want a Rescue.
Purring.
FMC stabs MMC. Fighter FMC. Latina.
Purring. Oral sex. Huge thick cock. Virgin MMC? Age gap (70 and 33). Cora eternal/fated mates. No pregnancy. No epilogue. No OMD/OWD. No cheating. No breakup. Adopted a 13/14 year old.

As the family grows
Yanna and Lynix were a great pair; he brought her personality to life and she grounded his silliness, to a degree. My favorite part of this story, though, was Kyle! Big strong males rescuing children may be a trend, but it's very rare to include a teen. He was a great addition to their family.

I'm torn between hoping Kyle's sister wasn't abducted, but just a little bit wanting her to be there and get rescued and reunited with him again.

This is your typical alien romance. I usually read darker romance so the things that seem to bother others didn’t bother me like that, but I guess SA could be a trigger in the beginning. That part kind of just seemed unnecessary. There is a lot left unsaid, and not in the way that it leaves you in suspense. It feels a little like the author just started making things up at the beginning, wondering if it would work, then was stuck with those plot points and chose to ignore them. I haven’t read the other series this is connected to, so I’ll probably do that at some point in the future. Maybe some answers are left there. It also doesn’t seem like it was proofread.

A book is good if...
...it makes you hungry for more. Ella is one of those writers who lay out a storyline, and each book in the series advances it, moving you towards a satisfying conclusion. I love the addition of Kyle, a teenaged human male, and I hope they end up in contact with the Drix on Corin so he has a chance for romance with a Drix/human there. I'm still hungry, Ella, write faster, please!

Such a yummy read despite editing issues!
This was an awesome read!! I love this series and I’m so excited to continue it. Book 3 can’t get here fast enough!
Head’s up that there are currently at least a dozen minor editing errors (feinting goats vs fainting goats, mentioning Drixonian females when the bad aliens didn’t say that, words misspelled as other words that a regular spellcheck wouldn’t catch, etc).
It’s annoying but not enough to detract from a yummy story!

Ella Haven has nailed it again!
Fast paced, great syfy adventure. Just the right amount of romance. Another strong willed women, fighting for her safety. The world of Drexonians is amazing.

Omg. This one was amazing. Everything about it was great. The writing, the characters, the progression with the characters and the story line. Lots of action, spice, suspense and gut busting giggling moments along with miscommunication and lots of banter. Loved it. Can't wait for the next one!

Great Storytelling
I love Ella Maven’s books and will read anything she writes but my one complaint is the horrible editing. It seems to get worse with every book. I power through for the plot and characters though

The "Lion" was funny and his human mate was perfect for him. Did wish the end had ine more funny but about him messing with the humans about him and his tiger brother not being like earth ones.

I liked how Yanna really fought with her moral choices: reaching out to help others despite knowing that there are serious consequences, or saving herself but dealing with her internal castigations.

Entertaining!

Good second book
