Dana Watson needs a boyfriend, regardless she actually wants one or not. The life as she knows is crumbling down and she is running out of time. Failing the college dating games miserably, Dana pushes her limits and finds Ethan. Both have their own secret agendas, but the spark between them is undeniable. Little do they know that secrets can get them burned.
I took this book from the author for reading it and reviewing it and i couldn't be more glad about this. I just finished this incredible book and all i can say is I WANT MORE. Omg what can i possibly say about this book, i am honestly speechless. Even though it was short i really enjoy it!!! I'm still trying to catch my breath... Awesome wouldn't even come close to describing this story. That is the first sentence. I was sucked in from the beginning. This author can WRITE!!! It had everything, and made you live the lives of the characters like you were a part of the story and lived among them. I adored every single page of it and honestly i couldn't let it of my hands. Danna is a shy girl who tries to leave her books back and start dating so she ends up in a blind date with a boy she met through internet. His name Ethan. A mysterious guy that instantly took Danna's breath away. Every time she meets him she is even more into him and even more confused, because of his weird behaviour. He is a helpless romantic, a gentleman, every woman dream.... But is he really what he says he is, or is this a showcase, how he wants Danna sees him? Are his intention pure or he has a secret agenda? Definitely a must read ;)
This is the first book in a two part romance series. This book is fairly short at just under 100 pages but I really enjoyed it.
The book is about Dana and Ethan who arrange to go on a date after answering each other on-line dating ad. When Ethan first arrives for their date Dana she is a little unsure of Ethan who is super hot and she feels he could have any girl he wants. Dana and Ethan quickly begin to relax into each other company and we get to see them go on their first few dates. This book is very much about Dana and Ethan getting to know each other.
There is a good chemistry and connection between Ethan and Dana. As I reading was I felt that both Dana and Ethan were hiding something. We find out right at the end what Ethan's secret is. Therefore the book does end on a cliff-hanger but at least it's only a week to wait till the next book is released.
The book is well written and the story moves along at a quick pace. Before I knew it an hour had past and I had finished the book. I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes in book 2.
I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review
As far as short stories go I thought this was really good. I am usually not a fan of short books but this one is worth the read. This is the first book in a three part series.
This book is about Dana Watson, a insecure college student in desperate need for a boyfriend. She finds Ethan Lancaster's online post and thought maybe she fit the description to what he was searching for, and contacts him. During the first date you really get a understanding of how inexperienced with relationships and dating Dana really is. Dana is intelligent and awkward all at the same time. I thought the way she behaved and her thoughts was adorable.
You learn that Ethan Lancaster is extremely HOT and comes from a very wealthy family. He was very sweet and charming. I do get a feeling that he is hiding something. I am curious if in the next book something will be revealed about him.
This first book is mainly about Dana and Ethan meeting and how they begin to feel comfortable with each other. It is a very PG read, I was expecting a little more spice but this one leaves you anticipating more from the couple. I think S.C. Rosemary did a great job in writing this book, for a short read it did not feel rushed. Can't wait to start the next one.
I really enjoyed the simplicity of the story. It was a great read. Dana is a college student who tries online dating. Ethan Lanchester is a sexy billionaire looking for a smart easy going girl who will be committed to him. They are testing the water getting to know each other. Dana is very insecure about her looks and she has never actually dated anyone her entire life so she finds it hard to believe that a sexy smart guy like Ethan would really be serious about seeing her. Ethan is well mannered and very respectful towards Dana, who doesn't actually know he is super rich.
I was so excited with every date that happened. I had a smile on my face remembering what it was like back in my day. There is a cliffhanger at the end so I would definitely read the next installment. I have to know what becomes of this couple who are both looking for commitments. (Aren't we all)
I was sent this book from rosemary to read for a review and am very pleased I read it. Its a short story and I did enjoy it as its a romance and I like romance in books but I only gave it three stars as it was short so I didnt find out much about the characters. Rosemary told me this is the start of a series and I cant wait for the next one to find out more about the characters & see where their romance takes them and think the next one will be more stars as the story progresses
*Sigh* I loathe giving any kind of negative review but here it goes. I honestly could not get into this book. I was so excited to read it and then…nothing.
First the cover for this book is hot hot hot. I mean seriously that chest is yummy. Seeing that cover made me think this book was going to be filled with some hot sexy scenes. Instead I got well nothing. No hotness no yummy scenes, nothing.
Then there’s the whole thing with the characters. All of the characters talked and thought so properly it was almost as if they weren’t human which I mean they’re characters but you get what I mean. I am going or Is it really? On and on with the proper it just didn’t feel authentic to me. No matter how “proper” you are I don’t think you think or talk like that all the time. Even the non-proper roommate talked like that so it wasn’t just the main character. The never ending description also got to me. I love dialogue. Yes I get that the characters inner thought are important but who thinks like this: “Exotic flowers I couldn’t name decorated the cherry wood tables.” I get she’s nerdy or at least I think but who thinks about cherry wood tables? I just seemed like a whole lot of fluff and not a lot of content.
Lastly, I’m generally not a picky person about this unless in stops the flow of my reading. Grammatical errors. They started on the first page and they kept getting worse. It just seemed as if this book needed a quick read through. Like I said I usually don’t give a rats behind about it but half the time I was trying to figure out what was being said because of it and that is the only reason I am mentioning it.
All in all while this book was a disappointing it did have its okay moments. The whole reason for a lawyer looking for a girlfriend online theme seemed interesting but whenever got to that point because in my personal opinion the fluff. I am hoping the next book is better.
I received this book for an honest review from the author. I have to as thank you for allowing me the opportunity to read such a fascinating story.
The book is left with a cliffhanger, but not so bad that you are completely upset. It is more that you are dying to know more about the characters. The storyline is sweet and fun loving. You just have to fall in love with the characters. Especially after Ethan explains the real reason he is a law student. It is obvious why they both need to have a boyfriend/ girlfriend, but I love the way it is being developed throughout the story.
Dana struggles with finding a boyfriend because she is so book oriented and shy. However she needs to find one so that her father can have the talk with him. She creates and online profile to find the "perfect" boyfriend material. Little does she know that Ethan Lancaster has also created a profile to find the "perfect girlfriend. I understand that he wants something from her, but I also see that she is just the same just more innocent like.
After a few chance dates, Ethan asks her to be boyfriend/girlfriend, and to attend the ballet with his parents. Exited about the prospect of a real relationship, Dana tells her friend/roommate Vicky about her "boyfriend," long to find out who Ethan Lancaster truly is. The only son and heir to the Lancaster law firm.
I can't wait to find out the rest of the story. An amazing read even if it is a short one.

An ARC was given to me by the author in exchange for an hones t review
What shall I begin with? I think with telling everybody that it was quite a fantastic read. I can't understand some pople who refuse to give 5 stars to shart books but in my opinion a good book is always a good book no matter how many pages it consists of.
I just adore the main hero - Dana. I connected to her just alright. She is such a sweet and innocent girl. While reading Burned I remembered myself and my first dating experience and oh, God, I could see myself in this girl. A lot of sleepless nights and a lot of unnecessary worries. I heart you, Dana. (Thanks my dear authors for these sweet memories).
And of course - Ethan. I liked it immideately (it's one of my favourite names by the way). A typical player who wants something from Dana . Am I the only one who understood that his actions are not so pure and innocent?
Oh, I want the second book like yesterday!!!! Gime gime gime it, please)
Thanks a lot for this wonderful book.
PS Don't be hurt but my mistakes, English is my foreign languages =)
* I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. * I really enjoyed this book and the premise of the story, however, I felt that at times it was just slightly unbelievable to me. I am all for the "nerd" and the "hottie" to get together but this went to extremes at times to force the reader to believe that it was something that was pain free and simple. I felt like the author was pushing them together a bit too much at times and that it was a forced relationship. I did enjoy the details of the book and the writing style, it was a smooth flow and the story made it feel like the reader was out to dinner with them, or shopping at the mall with them, and the details of the city were really well written. I liked the way the author described the characters and made them feel real, but again the relationship just felt a bit forced for me. I will be reading the second book as well, as I did enjoy the story and need to see where it goes next! It is a good book to add to your TBR list and a quick read that will leave you wanting more.
This is the first of 2 more to come. It is a short story that in the first book you are introduced to Dana and Ethan. Dana hasn't had a boyfriend before and Ethan answers her ad on an online dating site. The only problem is Ethan is H….O….T… and Dana doesn't know what to think. Does Ethan really like her? Is he seeing someone else while seeing her? Why doesn't he call or text right away? Dana feels that Ethan does have a secret though as she seems to feel it. After officially being asked to be Ethan’s “girlfriend” Dana is so excited to tell her roommate, until her roommate drops the bomb of what she finds out about Ethan. His secret! Kept me interested the entire time and kept me wondering what was going to happen next. What will happen when Ethan finds out that Dana knows his secret? Will things change between them or will he go looking for someone else? Looking forward to the next book in the series.
im like supposed to give my honest review so okay. i dont really like this book. yeah sure,i love th male character. who wouldnt? he is hot, handsome, rich and smart. th kind of.guy that makes every girl melts. but thats th thing. th storyline is too cliched. handsome playboy falls for average girl. he has a dark past and blahblahblah, they fell in love. im sorry, but i dont find that kind of story entertaining. its too obvious. worse part is th author decides to make said girl way too insecure. for me,i guess,i get irritated while reading this book because this girl is way too insecure. there was not even a hint of gratefulness to th guy for buying her expensive gifts. worse of all,she decides to take advice from her hot girl bestie. there seriously wasnt anything in this book that even gets me interested in reading th next book. sorry.
I was given this book, by the author, for an honest review. Let me just say that Burned had me hooked from the first few pages. Dana is a 19 year old college student who has never had a boyfriend. She is ready for a relationship and decided to try on line dating. She agreed to meet her date on campus and could not believe he was the gorgeous guy who showed up. She felt that Ethan was way out of her league. Ethan is a rich first year law student. He wants to have a relationship with Dana after only a few dates. She is over the moon happy until her roommate told her exactly who Ethan was, the rich playboy son of the chairman of the Lancaster multinational law firm. Now, Dana is left feeling overwhelmed. I can't wait to see how things play out in book 2.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the author.
I really enjoyed this book. It was short but had a great story line. I'm glad I was given the opportunity to read Burned.
The story was easy to follow along with and had great parts. I wish it was longer but it does have two more books in the series coming out.
The only dislike I had was the grammatical errors. They weren't too bad that I was distracted from what was going on in the story though, just maybe need to do some editing.
I can't wait to read the next books in the series to find out what happens between Dana and Ethan.
That was a short quick read! I wasn't expecting it to end where it did!
I loved the character building, getting to know Ethan and Dana, although he was not flaunting his wealth on their first date, I did think that taking her shopping for their second was a bit odd!
Dana was/is looking for a Committed relationship and so it appears Ethan is! That is until we find out who is really is! Was not expecting to hear about his background.
I loved how sweet and innocent Dana is, and shame on her for not bring more internet savvy. I get the feeling that this is not going to be smooth sailing and after Dana's roomie clued her in on his background I couldn't help feeling he has an ulterior motive!
truly enjoyed this book. I do have to say I didn't like the ending. I do realize that there is another book coming out in March it was just odd. I love how innocent Dana portrays and with her father ill and she not knowing who actually Ethan was. This can be such a great love story of innocence. The feelings he has for her and how by not knowing who he actually is makes him like her more. She is just blown away that a guy like him liked her. We will see how the second book shows there love and friendship will be.
I liked the story a shy, inexperienced girl away at college, wanting to meet someone and fall in love. She meets Ethan but does not really know how to act. Ethan is gorgeous and she does not know why he likes her. Then after he asks her to be his girlfriend she is back at her dorm where her room mate finally lets her know that Ethan is the son of a billionaire.
Great intro to the Beautiful Mess series. I look forward to more from the series to find out what will happen between Ethan and Dana. They were just getting to know each other in this first installment but its obvious that despite their different personalities and upbringings, there is a connection there. The story line is fast paced and a little mysterious which keeps the reader interested. Can’t wait for the next volume. I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars.
I liked the story. Dana is extremely shy, inexperienced, and at times insecure. Dana is away at college, wanting to meet someone and fall in love. She meets Ethan on the internet, but does not really know how to act when they are together. Ethan is a hot, young, rick law student, and she does not know why he likes her. I cannot wait to read the next book to see where the story take Dana and Ethan.
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest review...
I thought this book was sweet and honest with just enough romance to draw you in. This is book 1of 3 in the series. It is a short read but worth it! Can't wait for book 2 so I can see what happens next!
This book was dumb. Kept thinking that it had to get better, but it never did. I hats cliffhangers. Thank goodness I got this book and the next one free.
