Did someone manifest murder or was it simply a tragic glamping accident?
Spring has arrived in the charming riverside town of Newberry, along with the thorn in Mia’s side—her formidable mother is in town to attend a manifestation retreat at a nearby glamping site. Mia reluctantly agrees to join her for mother-daughter bonding time and immediately regrets her decision when one of the retreat members is found dead.
Mia wants to help solve the case, if only to protect the women in attendance from the smooth stylings of Detective Derek Fairfax, but she’s also concerned about her mother’s reaction to Mia’s blossoming abilities. Madeline Albrecht is the one person capable of snapping the twigs of Mia’s personal progress.
As the investigation gains ground and tensions rise, it becomes clear to Mia that if they don’t crack the case soon, the victim won’t be the only one pushing up daisies.
Flowering Inferno is the eighth and final book in The Bloomin’ Psychic series.

I'm so sad this series is done. I absolutely loved it. Mia is awesome and it was so refreshing to have over 40s rep. Each character brought so much to this series. The only thing I would have liked to have seen explained , is why Derek was really as he was and to maybe settle down.
I loved this whole series of books! They are short and fun to read. Mia, the main character has finally got the life she always wanted. She has really quirky friends, a very handsome boyfriend, a fat cat and a better relationship with her mother. Read this whole series, you will love it!
Rest and relaxation with a side of murder and mother daughter bonding. Oh and of course Suzie makes an appearance.
Mia not only uncovers the murderer but manages to learn and understand her mother’s actions are not meant to be hostile, that friends are there whatever in all shapes and forms and maybe Derek’s not that bad.
I enjoyed the books in this series in particular the characters in the local town. Mia is a special person. Wish she lived near me! Also the storylines kept me guessing. Recommended read.
These books were so much fun! I instantly fell in love with Mia, her cat, Patrick and the rest of her friends. The chief of police was such a pleasant surprise, I dislike books where police are stupid, mean spirited, or have no common sense and no empathy. These books were all very well written. I enjoyed everyone of them.
Mia’s story comes to its happy conclusion, but not without some problems! This time, Mia and her mother are spending some time together at a glamping retreat, when one of the other women gets murdered.
This particular story, is really more about how far Mia has come since her flash mob proposal failure. We get to see Mia accepting her gifts, being proud of who she is, and even making huge strides in her relationship with her mother. With her friends and lover as supportive as they are she has grown into her own, and it shows in her garden, her decisions in the case she is helping with, and the interactions with her mother. This book brings her story to a lovely conclusion, even as it is fairly open ended, after all, Mia’s life goes on even after the book has ended. The mystery around which it all happens, was fairly easy to solve for armchair detectives, but as I said, this book was really more about who Mia is now; so while the mystery is a standalone, the story itself is part of Mia’s ongoing story and can’t really be read as a standalone. An enjoyable, and cosy ending to a fun paranormal cosy mystery series.
This was a very insightful read as far as what Mia learned about her mother and interpreting what she says in a different and more positive manner. Her mom also learned to think before she speaks in the future. The way Chase worded everything was great. I have my own struggles with my mother, so this read hit home for me.
What I wish there was more of is psychic stuff. There are a few bits here and there of Mia’s abilities, but not enough for me; however, that doesn’t lessen my five star rating.
Mia has thoughts about something her mother said: “The Mia she knew never really existed. That Mia was one my mother had constructed in her own mind and proceeded to use to define me for the next four decades. Even worse, I’d used that Mia to define myself.”
No more books in this series were mentioned, but my hope is that Chase is working on the next!
In the meantime, I am going to read a book by Connie Parker from her Grape Town Series and it is called, “Return to Sweet Briar Junction,” book 15.

Flowering Inferno by Annabel Chase is the 8th and final book in the Bloomin' Psych Series.
Mia's mom is in town to go to a retreat at a glamping site. Mia joins her mom, not willingly to join her mom for some wonderful snarktastic bonding time.
Once there, one of the members is found dead.
This was such a great story. I love the characters and Mia and her mom's story.
The mystery was well written, and I really enjoyed the end.
The author did a fantastic job brining this series to a close.
If you weren't aware this was the last one, you'd definitely catch on.
I found myself not focusing on the mystery part as much. I was thinking about the minor storylines and the dynamic with her mother. It was getting a bit much to read at some points. If you have a similar experience, I'm sure it's a rough read. At least here it starts to get better.
I wish we could have had a couple more books but it's good that some authors know when to let go.
I can see myself rereading this series again soon.
This book is the finale of The Bloomin' Psychic series, and it didn't disappoint! So often, when a series ends, the final book seems like it forces everything to be wrapped in a bow. Or worse, nothing wraps up. Flowering Inferno is nothing of the sort. Instead, you see the petals unfurl to show a beautiful journey of growth and self-awareness. I was tearing up at the end, seeing the finale bloom. I highly recommend the whole series, especially this 8th and final book.
The book was a bit slow and too cut off from the regulars to work well for the conclusion of this series. The case was downright boring, it being clear it could only be two possible persons. I admit I was surprised a bit it wasn’t the one I thought it would be in the end, that was a nice twist, but yeah, in the end I didn’t care much which is not good for a mystery book. And that’s the problem with this series. It’s supposed to be a paranormal cosy mystery series, but both the cases and the psychic stuff are pushed to the background in lieu of Mia’s inner work and self therapy. And while there is romance and a hurray for a healthy relationship, which I actually appreciate, Dane hardly ever was present, much different to his brother. What’s the point of adding a romance when there is hardly any interaction whereas keep putting her together with another man who clearly is not the intended man for her? The writing is good, the characters are nice, it’s a nice setting. But this series really lacked what I love most in my books: interesting or funny cases, smack-in-your-face magic/paranormal stuff and sizzling relationships.
Mia finds she has another gift after the murder of a woman at a retreat they were attending. She is also stuck with her judgmental mother for the week. They both discover new things about each other, closing the gap that has been between them for years.
I hate to see this series end. These fast paced books are funny, insightful, and very well written. Thank you for the gift of your imagination, Ms. Chase.
I have enjoyed this series. Great characters and puzzling mysteries.

A lot of self exploration going on in this book. I can identify with the hero, although she’s far more talented! Her relationship with her mother up until now is very familiar and made her highly relatable! The plot was a twist and the ended a bit more exciting than usual!
Loved another crime solving book in this series and how Mia and her mother's relationship improved through it. I was afraid of the death of a beloved character, but thankfully, it didn't go that way. Wouldn't mind other few books to wrap up a happy ending.
For the final book in the series, this really felt like it sidelined all the beloved secondary characters including the love interest. I don’t deny that Mia’s relationship with her mother was something that needed resolution, but by focusing the entire final book on that, the ending felt rushed, even if it did hit all the important points of growth for Mia.
Mia gets to spend some time with her Mom in a retreat and they both are in for learning, but all will have to happen while solving a mystery. As always a nice story, with many suspect to weed through and entertaining while we do. Changes are happening, lets see where it leads.
I have enjoyed every bit of this series. Watching Mia get her confidence and become comfortable in her own skin has been so much fun. I’m going to miss reading about all the action in that small town.
Book 8 has murder, mystery, danger, a critical mother, a week of glamping , and quite a few laugh-out-loud moments. And I don't want to forget tarot cards and psychic abilitiese. Highly entertaining.
I appreciate when authors finish a series before they get stale. I also appreciate that not everything is tied up neatly. If you have read this far, then this book should keep you satisfied.
I'm so sad to that this is the last book in this series. I've really enjoyed reading about Mia and all of her adventures in Newberry. If you're looking for a great series of books please read all of "The Bloomin' Psychic Books". I promise you won't be disappointed.
This was a good series. I feel like the ending left itself open for a continuation in the future. Loved seeing Mia “bloom”, and glad she has her friends and Dane in her life. It was nice to see the changes in her relationship with her mother.
As sad as I am to see the series end it was a wonderful finish. Personal growth advice, life adventures and an ending most satisfying. The crime was well crafted and solved in time. I will miss the town and all the friends there.
Good series and a quick read. So very glad Mia didn't end up with Derek - which it looked like might happen in earlier books. Some resolution with her mother and lots of growth and communication on both sides. Evidently a series ending, this fit well and provided decent closure.
Definitely an interesting read. It has been an excellent story with such good change in relationships. The characters are really good with strong storytelling.
Complete series! Each book even better than the one before it!
It’s been enlightening to follow the protagonist from rock bottom to full bloom. I really enjoy Annabel Chase’s work. The series came to a satisfying conclusion.
I love Ms. Chase's books! She writes such interesting stories about the paranormal world. Always full of love, but with challenges along the way. You won't be sorry to buy any of her books.
Wonderful conclusion to this series. Keeps you wondering who the murderer is. I loved reading Mia's confidence building throughout this series. Great characters. Can be read as a standalone but the series is great. No cliffhanger and hea.
