Together. Apart. Where does it end?

It started with the war. The war we’d wage upon the very man who’d raised me. The war which would either tear us apart or keep us together.

We’d finally found our way to each other. The five of us gave in. It’d been inevitable from the start. Desire had forged us, but it was love which set us free. Made us into what we were. A family drenched in blood.

Everything had built up to this moment. Our final fight for survival. Our final battle against corruption. Quinn, Xavier, Eric and Rory were the ones I had to protect at all costs. Even if it meant I sacrificed parts of myself in the process.

We had so much to live for. So much to lose. Would we really win this? Would we come out the other side? Would we still be whole? And the very last question I had… Is the love we share really enough for all of us in the end?

A dark why choose (MMFMM) romance series set in Sarah Bailey's Dark Universe with cliffhangers and a HEA in the final book.

This is a DARK romance and therefore comes with a content warning. Please see authors website for full details.

The Devils Syndicate 😈
Authour: Sarah Bailey

"Her words were like a fucking taunt. Challenging me to follow her down the rabbit hole into oblivion."

Hate. Lust. Love. Mafia reverse harem sign me up!

I love anything Sarah writes and this is no exception. I couldn't get enough of how this story was written it keeps you hooked from start to finish.

The broken mafia princess does her father's bidding until four men take her away from the only life she knew. How is it her kidnappers showing her the life she's been missing?

The slow-burn romance between these characters is to die for. Each character had a lot to work through to finally accept their feelings for Ash. Ash also had a lot of souls searching to figure out because like she said it's not normal to fall so hard for the men that kidnapped her. The mafia drama, the laughter, the alpha male anger, the lust, the secrets, the lies, the hate and lots of love and you have yourself a pretty interesting romance between five people. Ash, Quinn, Xavier, Eric and Rory took me on quite the adventure of emotions throughout this story. Let's just say this queen found her kings.

Ahh, what an ending to a phenomenal series!!

The Devil's Syndicate series ends with a bang and a heartwarming HEA. I am incredibly happy with the ending in book five! This author is a fantastic storyteller; she had me gripped from book one. Through each book, I grew more attached to characters and their story.

Admittedly, Quinn is my new book boyfriend, I simply adored him in every book. Still, the growth of each character progressed naturally, along with the bond between Ash and her men. I truly cared for all five of the main characters. Their individual, heart-wrenching childhoods had gutted me. The love and caring the boys had for each other was so endearing, they were more than best friends, they were brothers. Adding Ash into the mix helped Quinn, Xav, Eric, and Rory all heal from their wounded pasts. I didn't think one woman could give four men what they needed, but Ash has an enormous heart and unlimited love. And endurance in the bedroom!

This series has it all: drama, danger, twists and turns, super hot sex, and BDSM. Now that the fifth and final book is here, I suggest carving out a week to binge read the entire series! You won't be disappointed!

*Thank you to the publisher for an advance reader copy. This review contains my honest opinion.*

What an end to this series. It was everything I wanted and more (please see prologue 🖤). Seeing Ash and the boys grow into this beautiful family unit in such a short period of time had me rooting for their happiness and freedom even more.

We pick back up after the car crash and Frank’s threats. They’ve decided to end it once and for all and Ash is determined to Frank down herself. Waiting for Ash and Rory to heal gives them some time to really plan it out. Of course, there are a few curveballs that keep you on your toes. But they have a plan and it’s now or never. Ash will surprise you. She is such a force and holds true to her promise, to set her boys free.

What can I say? I did not want this to end. I’ve fallen in love with this group and the dynamic of each relationship. Ash is truly the heart of it all, giving each of the boys what they need. I went through so many emotions leading up to them actually carrying out their plan that I was all over the place. Especially with how they spent the night together the day before. Ash is a QUEEN. I was speechless with how she laid it down to the boys and took what she wanted. I may have even stalled with the last few chapters because I didn’t want it to be over..

Why does it have to be over???

When it all comes down to war, will we all make it out alive? This could be the end, but I’ll go down fighting before I lose one of them.

You can’t even begin to understand how much I loved this book and this series. When I tell you this is one of my top reads this year, I’m not even exaggerating. I am just over the moon about this series. I am so sad it’s over but best believe I’m jumping to the next series that’s intertwined.

Ash is my girl. She’s a queen. She’s everything I love in an FMC. I love the way she completes each guy differently. I love that she cares so deeply. I love that she feels so strongly. I just love her, okay?

I’ll just immediately start by saying, Rory is hands down my favorite. The way he just opened up and took his feelings and embraced them. The way he cared for Ash and the way he changed over the series. He will forever be in my mind and heart. Xavier is always the goofball. This book showed his sweet side. The raw emotion when he opened up and grieved the past. The meadow scene was so raw and so beautiful. I immediately felt for him and wanted to hug him. Quinn has grown so much over the series. I remember in the first book, I was like, okay he’s got to be knocked down some. Then over the series, he became more lovable. When Quinn’s facade drops, time stands still. The emotion. The honesty. The love. Ughh I thought I couldn’t love him more. Last but not least, Eric. He is so sweet. To see him go from shy and quiet to this cheeky and open man was beautiful. Honestly, he took care of everyone, I just wanted to take care of him. Alright let’s just be real, I love them all. I think this was my favorite harem dynamic and Sarah did a fabulous job with them.

That epilogue made me feel so whole. It was the sweetest and cutest thing ever. I can’t stop smiling and feeling so much joy over it. My ovaries can’t take it.

This series was worth everything. Sarah has gained a reader for life. Everything she’s written and everything she plans to write. She is truly a phenomenal writer.

P.S. in case you’re reading, where can I find daddy Viktor?

Ok.
So I skimmed a lot of this book.
I lost interest around the 3/4th book and only read this as I hate unresolved endings and I feel I needed to know how this series ended.
Ash annoyed the hell out of me this book. She kept acting like a child. A stubborn child at that. And the dirty talk to me is cringe worthy.
The ‘war’ is very anticlimactic. She literally goes in bargains with his right hand man (cause yeah!) hands him a bit of paper and slits his throat. Come on! 5 books for it to end like that. Seriously. To me this series was dragged out! It could have been done as a trilogy and been a lot better. The books seemed to have a lot of filler and not enough actual substance. The final book seemed less like a plot and more arc sex sex.
Tbh I could have gotten around it if I didn’t detest the FMC as much as I did. The whole point of a RH is all parties are equal. In this book they are not. Quinn is always and will always be Ash’s favourite. It’s even been mentioned in a previous book. The epilogue fell flat at the end. It shouldn’t matter who the children’s fathers are in this type of relationship. And the fact she went to calling Victor dad so easily was to me a way her childishness showed.
This was the first series by this author I read and tbh I won’t be reading her in the future.
I just found the constant cross over between English and American English to much to take, certain words kept getting mixed with American slang. As someone who lives in England not far from London we don’t speak like this and guns are seriously hard to come by! The whole thing if set in America could have been believed but not set in England. It’s a shame as when this series was being promoted I couldn’t wait to read it!

Depraved: The Devil’s Syndicate Book Five by Sarah Bailey is the finale to the frantic journey of an organized crime heir-not-to-be, and the unique men that share her life and her heart. The love has settled itself nicely after book four, and there’s no doubt that these five handsome devils want to spend the rest of their collective lives together. The main issue this time is making sure there’s a life worth living…even if they can survive at all. The Russo crime family, which raised Ash and could have been her life’s direction is starting to become vulnerable for its final (and well deserved) destruction. There’s nothing vague about these goals, either. While the men each have their role to play along with their own painfully cultivated desires for revenge, Ash is not here to simply wear the crown once all is settled: Ash has vowed to kill the crimelord, the very one that raised her into this madness, the only father she ever knew. Russo has to die, and Ash is going to take on this heavy burden herself.

We may still in the romance genre, of course, but the love and passion are not the main topics. The path to happiness is paved with blood and suffering, and there’s going to be no way around it. There are less fully described sexual encounters, opting more towards a closed(ish) door approach for some of the scenes. Not to worry, there’s still plenty of bang for your buck as various plot points resolve. AND, for the patient reader that’s worked their way through the 4.75 novels to this point, the reward is the long awaited group encounter involving all the main characters at the same time. It’s tasteful…as such things could be considered, and is more of an expression of shared love than a kinky gangbang you’d normally pay a monthly subscription for. If this was all you were looking for, then mission accomplished. But for the rest of us, there’s still a score to settle before that promised HEA.

To stay as spoiler-free as I can, the climax and ending are well worth the journey we’ve taken to get this far. It’s exciting, violent, and still “tight” as an exhilarating storming of the castle to set things right and reach the preferred conclusions. Taking the whole novel into account, certain violent aspects will make you question what’s really going on inside some of the character’s minds. It’s violence, it’s murder, and these aren’t causes for heroism, and no one in this story is morally perfect. The facts are presented in a straight forward and unapologetic tone, with only the characters themselves left to speak to their motivations or choices. This is important to me as a reader, as neither good nor bad elements are being cast as “good” or “correct.” There is plenty of room to make your own decision on what was right or wrong, but know that nothing is going to stand in the way of this family’s freedom.

Verdict: Depraved by Sarah Bailey is the long awaited, yet thrilling conclusion to a poly reverse harem dark romance that thrills and spills for its entire duration. The romance is ever present and accounted for, but while squabbling about what the future might hold is set aside, the criminal empire themes take center stage with their expected violent acts. The novel makes no apologies, and makes it clear that peace was never an option considering the dark souls that inhabit the series’ universe. The conclusion is rough but satisfying, and all loose ends are tied up in a tight finale. Taking the highly detailed epilogue into account, it’s become very clear to me that this universe has more to say…and maybe even this family as well if time and effort are any indication. There’s a thousand directions this sort of story telling style could go, so any specific speculation would be a fool’s errand. But just as anything else featuring the Queen of Steam Sarah Bailey: I’m ride or die, and I’m all-in.

Special thanks to Sarah Bailey for providing an advance review copy of Depraved to TehBen.com. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

Incredible series! Lots of unexpected turns. Great cliffhangers that irritated me until I read the next one lol what I did strongly hope for was more then one scene with the four of them and with how many scenes there were with them one on one I really wish the author would have explored their relationship together. Quinn and Rory...omg that would have been amazing if it happened. Even with just Rory. Wow! I know this series is done but I think it would be a great opportunity to do what Nalini Singh did and open a "season 2" as she sees it with her psy-changeling series when she started the Trinity series. New beginnings. The next chapter in their lives as Ash put it. How Ash and her boys expanded their relationship. Xav was obviously interested in the stuff Rory and Ash do when looking at the book they shared, the hard ons when he got rough with her in the kitchen. The first two books were almost as though she read my mind. A-f***ing-mazing!! Wow! The next one I got a little more into after Ash and Rory actually got together. That first scene was intense! (Just the adult scenes) The story itself though I would not change or add to. Wow. She is an incredible author who really knows how to draw you in a story. I couldn't put any of the books down. Loved them so much! But QUINN AND RORY!!!! AHHH lol I also love the way she explored the real father-daughter relationship. Unconditional love. He never asked or expected favours. Even from the boys. He just gave and felt rewarded with her love in return. Absolutely no judgement, ulterior motives or pent up resentment.

Each book in this series has been amazing and they have all been leading up to the epic conclusion in this final book, Depraved. From the fantastic characters, to the on-going heartbreaking and tension filled storyline to the frustrating and heart stopping cliffhangers…they were all worth it to get to this final book. Sarah did a wonderful job of connecting all the threads in the overall story as well as answering all lingering questions and providing a beautiful story conclusion for Ash, Quinn, Eric, Xavier, and Rory. The epilogue alone was worth it.

I love how each character has developed throughout the series and how in this final installment they each really stand on their own and shine with their individual personalities. All the tragedy they have suffered separately and as a whole, along with all the pain and horrible memories - you can see it all lifted and morph into something beautiful with the others as they completely embrace their familial bond and their relationships. They each carry a part of each of the others souls and watching them all finally understand and realize the depths of their feelings brings forward a connection impossible to sever and strengthens them as a unit. There were some bittersweet moments, some heartbreaking scenes, some shocking twists and surprises, and several steamy sexy moments embraced. And I have to say that I did love each character individually as well as Ash’s relationship with each of the guys but overall Rory and Ash were my favorite two out of the bunch. His character development is the most impressive of them all and his connection to Ash was something really special. Depraved was absolutely fantastic and the perfect ending to this series.

Such an amazing story!

I learned about Sarah Bailey during a writing conference a few months ago. The first book of hers that I read was the first in the series The Devil’s Syndicate. To say I’ve been overwhelmed with excitement would be an understatement. Each book building on the one before keeps you on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what’s going to happen next. The character development is unbelievable, I have fallen in love one by one with each of the men in the story in the same way her main character Ashleigh has.

I am a sucker for a happily ever after living through these cliffhangers have been an emotional roller coaster for me but every word I read and page I turned kept me wanting more. The story of Ash and her boys is one that I will always remember and I could easily see myself reading it again and again in the future.

This last installment brings me the happily ever after that I dreamed of. Watching them overcome the difficulties of their past and working through their relationship as a quintet was enjoyable throughout. The hopes you have as a reader throughout all five books all come true!

I’ve already recommended the series to over five people I’ve spoken with. some who aren’t even Romance readers. The storyline is so good it could entice anyone who enjoys to disappear within the pages of a good book.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this amazing series.

I read this entire series in less than 24 hours, I absolutely loved it and all the boys but oh Rory ❤️... Well done, its the first series I've read since finding this style of book and joining booktok and seeing your post about loving her boys equally and I really love it. The ending made my heart happy. Well done you! I really hope the spoiler button means this won't ruien it for anyone so I'm trusting it does mean that, I'm so glad everyone was OK and the babiessss! Saying that I feel so sad that I didn't get to read certain parts of those 8 years although I want to read it all... My main ones being:
Them choosing who has kids in what order,
Quinn finding out she's having his baby,
and then him finding out it's a girl,
The others points of views when shes pregnant and how they felt when it actually was happening (was Rory scared to touch her or the babies and did the other boys want to keep him away from her when pregnant) ,
Each of the others when they found out she was carrying their babies, (I feel sad for Eric and xavi can't have one together)
Each of the births and how the boys reacted during and the few days after,
I really want to see rory finding out quinn naming his daughter after him,
and cute hormone stories, I just want lots of the boys views from the pregnancies to be honest haha

Thank you for the great day of reading!

Probably my shortest review for any review I’ve done but it’s REALLY hard to enthuse about a book without giving away spoilers.

The conclusion to this amazing series was just amazing. It's everything I've been waiting for since Deceived. The relationship with Ash and the boys finally becomes whole. The war and threat comes to an end.

Depraved differs from the other books solely because the conflicts with Ash and the boys finally settle and there's this looming dread and fear about whether or not all of them will make it out alive in this final showdown with Russo.

It’s emotional. It’s rewarding. And it’s incredibly satisfying, and by ‘it’ I mean the whole book! I'm just overjoyed that I get the HEA I've been waiting for (not that Sarah doesn’t deliver), but this HEA had my heart singing. Honestly, you’ll see why.

Sarah, thanks for this amazing series. Knowing this was your first time writing reverse harem, something I never foresaw you ever doing, seeing how well you’ve executed this and made readers stress and swoon over their story is amazing. So thank you for sharing this intense, daring series and I can’t wait for what you have next in store!

Ash knows she needs to be free of Frank. He's evil and needs to be stopped. Her boyfriends Xavier, Eric, Rory and Quinn love her to death. They are in this together. A normal life isn't too much to ask is it? With all their connections and their willingness to die for one another they will go to the ends of the earth to make this happen. Do you think they will be able to pull this off smoothly or will everything go to hell?

Each man has changed in so many ways. The way they love her is something you hope to find in real life. Viktor is treating her better than Frank ever did. Julian is horrible. I hate Gianni and Carlo. Nate didn't deserve that. The rescue mission was crazy. The kidnapping was terrifying. Rory doing that for Ash was definitely not what I expected. The room they held Ash and Carlo in is a traumatizing reminder of what happened to her so her wanting to chance it isn't a bad idea. The video may have no been a success right away but Xav made it that way. The ending was perfect. I needed that epilogue so much. Very emotional. An amazing end to an amazing series.

The final book in the series, what a ride we've been through with Ashleigh and her four men.

I am blown away by how much Ash has grown through this series, she is now a queen that is in charge of her own destiny. On a mission to take down the one and only man that threatens her, Quinn, Xavier, Eric and Rory's lives. She is one fierce, badass queen with her kings by her side.

I love this story and it was parts of it that I'm not used to read but still I fell in love with all the characters and I really enjoyed how it was a dark romance. It made me emotional and yes I did cry for a moment. I blushed and giggled but wow.

I do recommend you to read this and keep in mind it is a dark romance so if you're not into them.. you are missing out. Oh and it is a series so start with the first book.

This was a good read. This author is new to me and I’m wishing I had had the time to read the previous 4 books in the series. Even if I had bought them, and the costs in Canada is just way too much,mi still wouldn’t have had the time to read them before this review was due but I did enjoy it. This is the fifth and final book of the series. The story follows Ash and Rory after their car accident and recovery. This war is getting too close and needs stop and let’s not forget about Ash;s mom Isabella that Frank kidnapped. Frank Russo still has Isabella, Ash's mom kidnapped. Ash wants a family, children. If the ending is this good the ride to get there must be fabulous so I’m going and getting the first four books with Kindle Unlimited.

Like it

I pretty well read through the first 3 books within 2 days and began to slow on book 4.

I think it got difficult to put up with the female leads constant whining and refusal to compromise due to safety or logical reasoning. She kind of just constantly throws tantrums or full on shuts down, those are her constant states of being. She pulls out random bouts of bad-assness but nearly immediately returns to one of her two normal states. It gets old quick and shows her lack of growth outside of her romantic relationship with the boys.

I know she is young but I really wish that authors didn’t make being young equate to being a whiny, stubborn, purposely childish person. Not all young adults are incapable of seeing the bigger picture or behaving like rational mature individuals.

I did not read the other books in this series, so I was a little lost at first. There were enough details to pick up on what went down. I will be going back to read the others just to fill in more details about the past in the lives of the quintet. This book had so many elements of what I like to read. She allowed me into the characters enough that I had empathy for most of those. It had some hot scenes and emotional ones and cringing ones (if you read you will understand). I was very happy that Ash got her ending that she wished for. All in all a great book and can't wait to go back and read the other 4.

The is book is the last book of the series and one you will not want to miss.
by sewsummore

The is book is the last book of the series and one you will not want to miss. There is an explosive confrontation between Ash and her father, while Quinn and her other men face an angry Irish leader. The relationship between Ash and her men deepens in this book with a "love-in that between Ash involving all of her lovers. What I liked most was the Epilogue which happens eight years later, after the final confrontation between Ash and Russo. Now that I have teased with the conclusion to this series, discover all the drama, suspense for yourself when you read the book!

This is book five in The Devils Syndicate series, this is a continuous story series and so worth reading each and every book. I was anxiously awaiting this book and dreading it at the same time because as much as I wanted a HEA, I was fearful of it not happening with the build up and suspense in the story's events. Needless to say, I should not have been worried. Ash and her boys are an amazing set of characters that I could not get enough of, the discovery of family without blood, the loyalty and the chemistry between them all are spot on perfect. This is a must read series in my eyes and I cannot wait to read more of this author's library. Enjoy!

The story between Ash and her boys are finally coming to a head. With Ash’s mom in the evil clutches of Frank they are finally forced into action. Not only that but Ash has finally had enough and is pushed to her ends. Now she wants to take him down herself.

This series has been epic-ally nerve wracking and interesting and this final installment was no let down.

The relationship between Ash and her boys have developed in such a great way. The love between them is so sweet and inspiring all at the same time. And the action in this last book was really nail biting and by no means was the way forward for our group easy at all.

Throughout this series they had to fight for every scrap of happiness they had and I am so relieved and excited that they end the book with the best HEA.

Just kept getting worse

The first book was bad. Quinn was a jerk and Ash was useless but Xavier and Eric were adorable and I was curious about Rory. Xavier and Eric remained adorable. Rory's hunting kink only got one scene which is sad. Quinn remained a jerk and Ash stayed completely and utterly useless. I hoped she would turn out to be a real boss. She grew up in the life, was trained to be a Head of Family but just cries about how much she hates her fake dad. And how she never got a UTI is beyond me.
The Epilogue in this one is the worst. The kids call their biological dads "Daddy" but they call the other men by their names? I don't like that at all. Xav needed to smack Aurora across her face and probably can't. Also, Dukey means something else in the U. S.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ the ENTIRE SERIES

Simply because I couldn't take a breath between the ending of one to the beginning of the other. I read all 5 back to back within 3 days.. I mean, only because I had to sleep.. I loved each character and their development after they began to know each other. I was so happy to see that Ash could get down and dirty and handle her business.. If she wanted to... This balance between all five just worked.. But if I had to choose a favorite from the men... I don't think I could. Together, they are the perfect man (🔥🔥🔥🔥)
Sarah Bailey had created this wonderful world between all of her series.. What an incredible mind.. I sure hope she has the love and writes about..

Ash and her men get to choose the future they want in the end

Depraved is the fifth and final book in The Devil's Syndicate series and continues the story of Ash and Quinn, Xavier, Eric and Rory. This books picks up where Debauched ended and it ties up the story in of this twisted and somewhat dark RH story. As the story progressed through each book in the series it got more and more fascinating. The layers of the onion kept peeling back and in Depraved we finally get to the center of the story and also an eye to the future between Ash and her men. The ending is really lovely with a great HEA that made me happy I made it through the whole crazy series.

Out of all the books in the series this was the one I liked the least. We still had great characters, but the tension and the excitement between the characters was gone. There was supposed to be an overarching sense of menace from Frank Russo, that I just didn’t get. I felt like the book threw it out there like a plot point and it had been a plot point throughout the series, however, there was very little to advance it. I felt like she could’ve done better with this one. I also felt that some of the things that made the characters interesting were missing. I’d still recommend the book, just be aware that it is probably darker than the rest, and that it’s not as good as the rest.

This is the fifth and final book of the series. And it wraps it up perfectly. After surviving their car accident, Ash and Rory need to recuperate. This war needs to end, Frank Russo still has Isabella, Ash's mom kidnapped. There is also talk of what the futur will bring. Ash wants babies. As everything moves, decisions are made, plans are executed, some get hurt. I am pleased by the wrap up of this series. It was a good read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is the final book in the Devil’s Syndicate series and what a fantastic conclusion it was! All our lingering questions are finally answered in this book. The war for Ash and her guys finally comes to an end with Frank Russo. Ash and her guys discuss the possibility of having children one day. I loved the character development and how each person has their own unique personality. The storyline is frustrating, drama filled, and emotional. It’s an absolutely incredible and satisfying story, and series, and one I recommend to everyone. I can’t wait to see what Sarah comes up with next.

Depraved was a great addition to this series. The plot and characters was stronger than ever, the story was written well, it was packed with many emotions. Sarah Bailey did a great job on it.
Xavier, Quinn, Ash, Rory and Eric's journey hasn't been an easy one, it's been a rollercoaster. Ash would have done anything for her men, just like they would for her.
The connection, she had with each of her men was strong, the chemistry was steamy. They were great together.
I enjoyed this story, it was great. Thank you, Sarah Bailey. Great work :)

"Depraved" had to be the most intense, nerve-wracking, heart-pounding experience of the five installments in "The Devil's Syndicate" series. Everything comes to a head when there is are murder attempts and kidnapping. And let's not forget the unbridled heat and love these five have come to have for each other. Unknown speculations are proven true. And through it, all our quintet somehow finds a way to connect, not only one-on-one but as a whole. This was the perfect ending for a spectacular series. A must-have for any collection.
