At that moment, Fang Xing thought, “Why is this person so irritating?” Little did he know that Jiang Zhijin had similar thoughts. Fang Xing x Jiang Zhijin A story about two cool guys who can’t stand each other but end up living together and even fall in love. The age difference between them is 10 years, with the younger one being the aggressor!! 【Possible triggers】 1.10-year age difference between the roles, 18 and 28; 2.The submissive has had a previous romantic relationship, so beware of triggers for purity parties.
I won’t rate this because I do not agree with what the MC did (or didn’t do) . I found it to be inhumane and I can’t root for such a person. I don’t believe he deserves to be happy and I don’t care about his happiness. If it hadn’t been for that particular event in the book this would have had a high rating.
I enjoyed reading this one!! The length felt just right, without any parts dragging much. Fang Xing and Jiang Zhijin really are such a sweet couple. I really loved that they both only apologized to Zhou Ling for any inconvenience to her but they would not apologize for loving each other nor would they break up.
It was nice to see how Zhou Ling handled Fang Xing telling her he is with Jiang Zhijin. Rather than completely exploding on him she took some time to herself and processed everything and then came to accept it.
I am glad that it was Fang Xing pursuing Jiang Zhijin rather than the other way around. Given the situation it was nice seeing the way the author made Jiang Zhijin respond and how he handled Fang Xing’s attraction to him and his courting. They really were super cute together, with their teasing and always being there to support each other.
Age gap of 10 years, 18 & 28 Spoiler about when the romance begins:
Absolutely adored this novel. No other words. Expect there is bc this is another attempt at a review lol.
I was feeling very hesitant because of the age gap, especially since the MC is only 18. And while 18 year olds often feel like they’re mature, they often look back and realize they really weren’t- but thankfully? or maybe sadly, in a way, this novel wasn’t like that. The MC had to grow up faster than others, due to various circumstances throughout his life. While he wasn’t abused, both of his parents were often working, leaving him to fend for himself. Being taken care of by a nanny who would cook and clean, and often times his mom would only know things about him through the nanny. this doesn’t mean that his mom didn’t love him, she did but she was always working. His father was working too, but he’s a scumbag. But because of all of this, the MC feels very mature, he tend handles things himself and while there’s a touch of immaturity- it just feels like it’s normal thing?
But with the ML he’s been taken care of, he’s actually being supported by him 24/7 since they live together, due to circumstances. They just both fit so well together, the ML always making sure to take care of him, always making sure to support him. He’ll cook for him, make sure he’s getting back in from school- something his parent never did for him. The ML will quietly stay by his side, let him open up about his struggles without forcing him and all of this happens before they’re even a couple.
The MC himself is such a great character, too, he’s very clearheaded about what he feels and tries to not put pressure on the ML due his confession. The path to their romantic relationship was also very nice, everything was thought out before they even went ahead with their relationship. they both clearly thought about what they would face in the future from others, and how they would struggle because of the large age between them. but because they faced all of this before their relationship even started, it felt so sincere, so thought out, so beautiful really.
There’s something so captivating and mesmerizing about this novel. I really don’t know how to explain it, maybe it’s just the way the author wrote things out. How the characters communicated fully, how there wasn’t really any miscommunication or angst in the way of their relationship. Or maybe it was because the characters were so emotionally intelligent.
There wasn’t mainly a villain against their relationship. It was just life, in the way they would struggle to tell the people they cared about. Since they know are, this would feel opposed because the large age gap, and most of all the MC’s mother. but all of that was handled wonderfully honestly. The situation with the MC‘s father was also handled very well. Sometimes you can’t mend a relationship, especially if you did something like he did. And sometimes just because you’re blood related doesn’t mean you automatically have to help them.
