I thought I was feral for Dominik in Shattered Obsession but a groveling Dominik in Shattered Hearts was enough to make my millennial knees so weak!

💭 My Thoughts: I was left speechless with so many questions after Shattered Obsession and have been anxiously awaiting the completion of Dominik and Zoe's story and this was everything I ever wanted! I was so feral for Dominik in the first book when he was his stalker and obsessive self. But a groveling Dom? This was my favorite version of him! He was so raw and real with his feelings and he was going to make things right with Zoe no matter what. All of his grand gestures and words made me swoon so hard. Not to mention the growth that we saw in Zoe. To see her overcome her childhood trauma and open her heart fully to Dominik for a life of love and happiness was so beautiful!

I just loved this duet so much! The plot was amazing. I am so invested in all of the characters. The spice was 🧑‍🍳💋! It was spicy in all the right ways and written so beautifully! To say that I loved this two is an understatement. And Dominik is now on my favorite book boyfriend list. He will be hard to beat! And Tina, she has become and auto buy/read author for me! I can't wait to see what you have in store for Aaron and Tristan! I NEED their books!

3⭐️ Depressing read and not because of some sad traumatic event either…. The MFC, Zoe (whom I liked in book one), became an annoying, dishonest, depressing, and selfish person. I didn’t enjoy reading her perspective at all.

The MFC is suffering from mental health issues that we see in book one, but in this book it is taken to a whole new level- I cannot tell you how upsetting it is to see someone with mental health issues deal out abuse to another person. This was more than dealing with the abuse herself- I felt for Dominik and the pain and abuse that was mentally inflicted on him- I don’t understand when or why he fell in love with Zoe???

SPOILER BELOW:
At one point Zoe has the entire team wait on her to get to the plane for an away game… she doesn’t call anyone, doesn’t find someone to call, and let the entire team sit there and Domink was worried out of his mind… but that wasn’t the last time she does this because on the way back she does it again and the team plane is full of tired players that want to go home are sitting on the tarmac ready to leave, but no… Zoe takes her selfish time. She’s a piece of work - she also becomes an easy liar in this book- she lies to her brother, Domink, and Tristan (beyond necessity to cover her and Domink’s relationship). Even when confronted she makes a point at saying how easily lies roll off her tongue. Again why does Domink love her? Because the sex? 🤦🏻‍♀️
I’m sorry I can’t sugar coat my feelings on this- the plot went awry. The author’s writing style kept this a 3 star but the plot and enjoyment brought my overall rank of this book down. 😔

Where do I even begin…I’m sobbing. I don’t think I’ve read a book faster. I was given this ebook as an ARC & I’m so happy I was given the opportunity to read it early. I felt all the emotions, I was giggling, crying…sobbing, SCREAMING, I even got the goosebumps. This story made me absolutely feral 🥵I will be thinking of Daddy Dom & Zoe until the end of time. Tina Spencer wrote this book with straight crack, I swear once you start this series you won’t want to put it down. I gave 5 stars to the first book, Shattered Obsession but Shattered Hearts?? 6 STARS! If you take any of my book recommendations into consideration READ THESE BOOKS‼️ I’m not going to say anything more so you can see what this dark hockey romance is all about for yourself 😈

It's the first time in a long time that I almost DNF'd a book. The stars given are for the last 80ish pages when the story for good and I was able to enjoy some character progress, the rest of the book felt like a constant loop/repeat of the MMC and FMC fighting their feelings, giving in then fighting them again. It was starting to get irksome.
Anyway, I did enjoy the ending and I do love a HEA. It's not a bad read and I'm sure there are people who would totally love this story but I just didn't connect or get excited about the characters.

This was one of my most anticipated reads for June. The first book in this duet was spectacular and I was foaming at the mouth to get my hands on this one.

Unfortunately for me, this one fell a little flat for me. I felt the first half was pretty repetitive and I got bored. I also felt like Zoe was so whiny which made her annoying in my eyes. I did love seeing Domink grow, he is def my fave. And the roses he left in her office...SWOON.

Zoe and Dominick's story will always be one of my favorites. This is the second book to the Hudson Yards series, and I loved it! Tina Spencer is such a fabulous writer. I love me a good hockey romance and enjoyed every minute of it.

Shattered Hearts picks up right where book 1 left off and let’s just say it was messy. All the lies that Dominik has tried so hard to hide away has finally come out and not in the best way, which now leaves Zoe in a tough position. She’s mad as hell with him, but also doesn’t want to upset her brother and go back on her deal with fake dating Dominik. So the question is .. will they be able to put on their masks and put on a show for everyone or will their feelings and emotions get the best of them?

Ever since I finished Shattered Obsession I couldn’t wait for book 2 and let me tell you .. it did not disappoint! From the groveling to the banter to of course the spice - it was all perfect. Honestly, I’ve read many books where the groveling was literally nonexistent, but with this *phew* 😮‍💨 Dominik really had to get on his knees and work for it (IYKYK 😉😏), but also I loved that he wasn’t ashamed to do it. He knew he had messed up and needed to really show Zoe how he felt and what he would do for her especially with her past. I felt really bad for her and what she has endure from her parents, but I’m really glad she always had Adam even if there were times he could be a little too into his head and overprotective of her. Another thing I enjoyed was getting a glimpse of Tristian in his element because most of the time he was the flirty goofy guy which don’t get me wrong I absolutely love, but being able to see how he commanded the room was 🥵. I hope we get more of him in the future! I can’t wait to see what happens next for these guys.

Honestly, this book is basically one sex scene after another and while they were all hot, it's less full of substance and more tropey compared to Shattered Obsession from him trying his best to earn her forgiveness and refusing to let her go to hotel sex on an away game to an injury making her see just how important he's become to her. Also, she does kinda take advantage of his downbadism to get what she wants out of him sexually and that puts them on the same level in my book, TBH.

Right off the bat, Dominik changes his focus from trying to stay away from Zoe to having zero fucks to give anymore. Dude only had to lose her first LOL. But his downbadism becomes so much worse in this and I'd say he more than redeems himself with the amount of groveling he does.

Zoe, however, has no plans of giving in and while that's where the fun begins, she also cannot believe someone could want her so much re: childhood trauma and doesn't even believe she's capable of romantic love. The hang-up is real because it takes Dominik choosing her over Aaron to make her finally give in to her feelings for him. Although, after having the whole sister off-limits thing be build up so much, I was a little mad that it didn't even turn out to be an issue in the end. Very why bother vibes there.

Not that Aaron had any leg to stand on to begin with like I'm hella sure there was something going on with Aaron and Via during that hockey match they both attended. I already know their book would be a wholeass meal full of banter LOL. But also, hypocrisy much since Via is basically Zoe's best friend.

Oh and even though her parents had it coming, it was a tad OTT for me seeing how they all decide to fuck with them. The drama of it all LOL.

i was obsessed with dom and zoe immediately from the jump! dom’s character development is honestly one of my favorites i’ve read. his vulnerability >>> the way he reminds zoe over and over that he is not going anywhere, he’s always going to be there to support her… let’s have a round of applause for our boy 🥹🥹 zoe’s stubbornness is so relatable as well, kinda had me giggling too! her body’s like yes! our man! and her head is like gtfo i hate you … but she doesn’t lmfao aaron kinda pissed me off a lil, but that was likely the point and he redeemed himself in the end. the revenge scene!? abso-fkn-lutely!!!!! i loved the boys coming together and i definitely need some more background into their history.

🦋I started this book at 9:00 pm last night and finished it at 12:30 am this morning. 3 1/2 hours….. when I say I didn’t stop reading once I started, I mean it.

🦋My sweet Zoe & Dominik. Their story will forever be one of my favorites. I cried, I got angry, I laughed and then I cried some more. The spice, the romance, the groveling… pure perfection. I can’t wait to see what we get next. I have so many theories but, we all know Tina Spencer could completely surprise us all. Go add to your TBR now!

🧠 2/10 (The plot and world building are very easy to digest)
Noteworthy: Not very dark but does focus on the trauma of child abuse and neglect.

I got so frustrated at times with the FMC Zoe in this book. I gave her a pass for as long as I could for her trauma, but Sis didn't stop doing 1 step forward and 2 back until almost the end. She had me punching air at the 70% mark.

Dom was a true pleasure in this one. None of the playboy stuff from book 1. He was so patient with Zoe. Waaaay more than I was. lol I just loved how he had so many chances to get frustrated with her and give up but never did. He was going to drag her out of her own head if it killed him.

There is no real external drama here. It's all close family, friends, relationship drama. I'm proud of Zoe's brother Aaron's maturity in the end. Thank goodness!

Overall, I would recommend this series for anyone who loves an obsessive MMC and is not triggered by a very stubborn FMC working through a lot of childhood trauma. The spice is quality, but I would not really classify it as dark because it's never selfish.

Devoured the first book. I found in the second that Zoe didn’t stay “mad” for long - shegave in to Dominik rather quickly (imo) and it wasn’t the right rhythm of toxicity I was needing/wanting. I think I was maybe expecting a bit more of her really sticking it to him regardless of his obsessive/possessive ways. Make him feral. Literally taking the space away from him, even though his crazy ass would have tracked her anyways. But at least make the attempt.

Still loved the story overall and super excited to continue with whatever Tina writes next. *Cough Aaron

Ahhh the long awaited conclusion to the cliffy that was Shattered Obsession is finally here ! 🥲

Shattered Obsession left us with SO MANY questions about Zoe, Dom, Zoe’s brother Aaron, and their twisted past. And we finally got the answers we’ve been waiting for!

Please be sure to read the first part of this duet first, Shattered Obsession is available on KU, you will be extremely lost in this book without reading that one first.

This book picks up where SO left off IMMEDIATELY. Thank goodness. We really get to see how Zoe feels about what she found, and from Doms POV, we get to see exactly how he feels about having to win his girl back. THIS MAN GROVELS. GROVELS. On his hands and knees.. literally. Do you love a MC crawling to the FMC? Because this book has it ! 🔥

Dom feels so bad for everything he’s done in the time he’s known Zoe, and he’s determined to win her back, the only way he knows how.. starting with Or💦ms 😂

This book was definitely spicier than the first, and I really enjoyed seeing the ongoing banter between these two. I was so happy when Zoe finally accepted what she knew all along, that she’s just happier, safer, the most loved she’s ever been, with Dom.

Dom is such a unique character who I’m swooning over one second, and a bit scared of the next 😅 this man really knows how to TURN IT ON. Is he the most obsessive MC EVER? YES! He is absolutely, 100000% a simp for Zoe. And the touch her and 💀 vibes are always strong with him.

All in all, this book was a perfect conclusion to the duet, but I still have some Aaron & Via related questions that are BURNING to be answered 👀

Didn't quite live up to expectations following the strong first volume. I kept wondering when Zoe was going to seek help for her obvious anxiety and depression. I mean, she has a couple of textbook panic attacks and tons of intrusive thoughts. A good dicking is not a valid substitute for therapy and medication!

And I wanted more comeuppance for her awful parents. AND the whole suspense with what her brother will do when he finds out was kind of a fizzle. Still, I mostly enjoyed it and Dom's apologies/groveling was sufficient.

Tina Spencer is an amazing writer and I just can’t say enough good things about this story and how it was written! This book has me sucked in from the first page and I devoured it.

I absolutely loved Shattered Obsession and Shattered Hearts did not disappoint.

This book picks up right where Shattered Obsession ends. That cliffhanger left me speechless so I was happy this picked right up.

Dom did so much groveling!! I loved how Zoe stood her ground and did not give into him right away. But I also loved that Dom knew he messed up and would do anything to get Zoe back.
I was rooting for Zoe too and I loved her growth!! Hearing about her childhood was so upsetting but I loved seeing her realize her worth and that Dom supported her and was there to help her realize this as well.

Basically everything was perfection! Between the groveling, the spice, the support and the possessive/ obsessiveness of Dom - I loved it all!

Besides being obsessed with Dom and Zoe I also live for Tristian and Aaron and I cannot wait to read their books and know more about them because I already can tell they both have so many secrets!

Alora Daniel and Sean Masters were fantastic as Dom and Zoe! It was easy to get lost in the story with them as narrators. They were great to show the wide rang of emotions that both Dom and Zoe showed in this story.

I have been waiting for this book to come out. If you loved Dom & Zoe in Shattered Obsession and needed answers, we’ll look no further because they it’s here.

I understand Zoe’s frustration and her being so hurt from Dom’s actions that she has suppressed every emotion and desire to seek love and to be loved by those who want to shower her with affection. But I feel like she may have drug those feelings on just a little longer than I liked.

Even though Dom is not perfect, he’s as close as I believe him to be. The fighting, the yelling, the grand gestures, the affection, and the hot forced proximity and talk. Like this one 👇🏽

TINNAAAAAAA. Tina. WHAT did you put in this book?!?! I couldn’t devour it fast enough. I think I read it in about 7 hours start to finish. 🤯

This is book 2 of the Hudson Yard series and it’s the conclusion to this duet! We were left on a heart shattering cliff hanger, and BOY did we get everything and more 😈😍.

Groveling? Filled to the BRIM with it.
Spice? Positively SPICIN’. 🔥🔥(seriously. SERIOUSLY.)
Love proclamations? Here and they’re beautiful. This man is so poetic. 😭
Banter? Got that too.
Good plot and side characters? ✔️ and. ✔️
Secret tattoos? Yep
😈 MASKS? …. Check 🤭

Basically, she found out just how obsessed he is with her… and that he’s been lying to her. And well, she doesn’t trust easily so it hurts. This book is his apology and her realizing he’s really gonna love her no matter what. Which is EXACTLY what she needs, someone to love her. And to stay. 🖤

I’m so happy I got to read this earlyyyyy I freaking am OBSESSED with dominik and Zoe ! This is continuing from shattered obsession book 1! If you like a dark hockey romance then it is for you!!
