A nice ending to the series!! Less mafia and action stuff which is better if I am being honest. This is the only book that felt like a billionaire romance the way Worth spoiled Laurie. This was exactly I was looking for!!!

📗3.6 stars. Read on 3rd Dec, 2025. Would’ve been a 4 stars story if it wasn’t for the abusive ex being dealt with very mildly and off-page. (i explain below, spoiler tagged).

It’s no surprise that Silvia Violet is my fav author. i mean, it’s obvious atp. So when i heard this series has audiobooks now, i had to read. Here, a guy running from his abusive ex ends up finding his bff’s big brother at a resort. That’s how Lawrie and Ben meet in Aruba, and the story covers their time there together. Tropes, tags & sex acts at the end.

🔹Story- 3.5⭐, Characters- 4⭐, Sex- 4.2⭐, Epilogue- 3 HEA⭐
🔹Princess and Sir!!!!! “Good boy!!!”
🔹Narrated by my fav Michael Dean.

Also, a long time ago i read an MM book with an MC who shared the same name as Lawrie, and he was the 1st selfish MC i genuinely hated. i swore i’d never read another book with that name again. But Silvia, queen that she is, gives me a sweet boy with that name and completely erases my old hurt and annoyance.

🔹Then Beck (the bff) finds out and suddenly they’re off-limits to e/o. So they spend a lot of time bonding and i think the love language here is gift giving + time spending.

🔹i know they fuck first, but they, don’t consider e/o a hookup and actually date. They go on shopping sprees and Worth even puts sunscreen on Lawrie!

🔹The Rooftop scenes!! 🥺🥺🥺 Although at insta lust speed BUT no getting together till the end.

🔹This has 6 sex scenes with very good foreplay. 1st one pretty early on at 9%. Also includes a fantasy scene! :) Of course it was hot with very good foreplay. Good verbal reactions as well. The last 2 were classic Silvia. They all felt intimate cuz you could feel their presence.

🔹This has a dance club scene where they dance together!

🔹Someone does get kidnapped lol but thankfully this time it’s neither of the MCs!

My main issue was:
🔹“Who hurt you? Whoever they were, they weren’t going to live long.” 🥺
♦You can't say that and NOT deliver. The story was too angsty for me with not much retribution. Lawrence’s pov opens with him covering bruises from his cheating, abusive boyfriend, then catching him with someone else. Right from the start, it’s intense and painful. But problem is, the monster gets dealt with entirely off-page, as an afterthought. Not satisfactory at all.

Some of these are issues, some are just nit picks:
♦Lawrie is mistaken as an escort and he just goes with it?? i mean he says it himself, he is somewhat of a doormat. But thankfully he changes and becomes his own person.

♦i didn’t like the language around Lawrie’s sex with his ex, especially when he says he had so little agency he “might as well be a virgin.” Whut???? Also, does that imply he was SA-ed? It was weird and awful to read.

♦Absolutely lousy maternal figure. but doesn’t meddle much.

📗Tropes & tags: •Rich x poor, •BFF’s big brother, •CEO MC, •agegap (10 years), •insta lust→love, •protector/protectee, •dating, •forced proximity, •playboy MC, •praising, •aftercare, •care taking, •forbidden relationship, •slight size difference, •carrying bridal style, •begging on knees (non sexual), •found family, •strict t/b, •mid/high angst, •OM drama, •no cheating, •no breakup, •1st person dual pov, •HEA.

Sex acts:
CW: Constant mentions of MC physically, emotionally and maybe even sexually abused by ex, with visible marks.

I haven’t read the previous three books in this series and I loved that I was able to read this book as a stand alone. I can tell you that after reading The Billionaire’s Mistake I will be going back to read the series so I can catch up with everyone’s stories.

The thing I think that stood out most for me in this book was the love that Worth has for Laurie. There's not much that I love more than a man who, once he recognizes what he’s feeling, is all in and doesn’t try to fight or deny his feelings.

Worth and Laurie are just so good together and are written so well that I could feel everything they were feeling.

I was so engaged with their story that I was sad and angry for Laurie when he was being abused, I was elated that he found the courage to leave and start fresh even though he had nothing. I held my breath when he almost didn’t call Beck to ask for help and I was on the edge of my seat when Worth found him at the resort. He’s a character that you root for through his struggles. Will he let himself follow his heart? Will he be able to stand up for himself after years of abuse? Will he lose his best friend? Can he overcome the huge chasm between his and Worth’s social status? Is facing more danger just one thing too many? It’s a lot, but so wonderfully done that it wasn’t too much.

Worth had been the group's playboy apparently and it was quickly obvious that that was a way for him to deal with his own issues. I generally don’t care for the spoiled rich guys that have anything they want at their disposal, but Worth somehow wormed his way right into my heart. I’m a sucker for a character that has an awful home life and I always just want to take them home and give them all the love. I was happy to see that Worth was a strong enough character to fight for what he needed when he was given the push by his friends and once he found someone who he wanted to love.

The side characters are worth getting to know and I’m sure most readers already do know them from the previous books in the series.

There is drama, danger, suspense, a bit of angst, a lot of friendship and an epic love. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to start reading the series from the beginning.

Of all the billionaire friends, I disliked Worth the most. I don't know what was worse, his ennui or his bloated opinion of himself. Laurie was much more likeable. He made a mistake at 18-19 and fell into the arms of an abuser. But he had a plan and when the opportunity presented itself, he got away. His best friend, Beck, has stood by Laurie's side, only waiting for him to reach out. Beck sends his friend to Aruba.
Worth's attitude when he comes upon a semi naked Laurie, his assumption that Laurie was a 'gift' from his brother didn't endear him to me. Although his promise to his brother to keep his hands off Laurie when Beck found out they slept together, was redeemable.
There's angst. And longing. Worth's belief that "I get whatever I want, as long as it has a price tag" is rather sad. It's also the point where Worth becomes sympathetic and relatable. Worth's wealth 'saves' Laurie. But Laurie's innocence saves him right back.
Age gap, found family and redemptive love are threaded into the storyline. All four books have a subplot of danger in them. Mistake's was a bit of a surprise.
The book was interesting. And a lovely fantasy. Who wouldn't love to have someone order an entire menu? Or take them for an entire wardrobe? Worth grew on me. His protectiveness towards Laurie was lovely to see.
I'm sorry that the series is complete as I would have liked to see Beck get his book.
I received an advance copy of this story and this is my review.

Absolutely phenomenal!

This book rocks! Silvia finally gives us Worth’s story and it’s a doozy! He’s the playboy of the group but love will set it’s sights on him and he will be powerless to stop it! What is meant to be a trip to Aruba to spend time with his brother Beck, turns into so much more when Laurie, a friend of Beck’s, is in need of a safe place to get away from an abusive relationship. The first meeting between Worth and Laurie is quite interesting and I love how it plays out. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and I love how caring and supportive Worth is as Laurie tries to get his feet under him. Their journey is not without a bit of danger and I love how the whole team of Worth’s friends come together when Beck is in danger. Laurie will have his doubts about a relationship with Worth and as Worth does all he can to ensure Laurie that what he feels is real, everyone is behind them cheering them on. When the smoke clears, and the danger has passed, Worth and Laurie get to move on to a much happier future than either ever thought possible and it is sweet, wonderful and amazing! All of Worth’s wonderful friends are a part of their story and it helps to make this one an absolute must read!

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Worth the Wait...that's right, our playboy Worth finally gets his HEA with none other than his little brother's best friend, Laurence aka Laurie.  Not sure how I felt about the name, I had to remind myself a time or two that this is a MM romance and not MF but that's besides the point.  I was happy enough to finally get Worth's story and HEA!  I gotta say that The Billionaire's Mistake nailed the whole "misunderstanding of the most epic proportions" scenario because when Worth's little bro booked a vacation for the both of them and he no longer can attend but instead sends his BFF, who happens to need an escape from an abusive ex, and not telling Worth, and Worth mistaking said BFF as a "gift", well there's only one thing the BFF needs to do, tell him the truth...except he doesn't!  And let's just say some sessy time happens and both parties involved were thoroughly satisfied.  And so this little vacation for Worth and Laurie turns into a getaway from those who've either taken them for granted, doesn't take them seriously, and just are abusive, to turning to one another and soon discover that Worth does want love and more than one night and Laurie is strong enough to love again after everything he's been through.  The Billionaire's Mistake is no mistake and it is a perfect ending to this series.  Happy Reading all!

This is another enjoyable book in the series. In this story, Laurie is a man who has been in an abusive relationship. When he finally leaves, he reaches out to his college friend for help. When his friend sets him up in a two week vacation to Aruba to unwind before figuring out next steps, Laurie expects to relax and not think about much. Little does he know that his friend's brother, Worth, will also be there. Laurie met Worth several years before and never forgot how attractive he is.

Worth is from a billionaire family. He's always had everything that money could buy. However, his playboy lifestyle is no longer cutting it. His family forced him into the family business that is the last thing he is suited to do. All of his friends are finding love and he's the third wheel. One-time hook-ups leave him feeling even more lonely.

When Worth sees Laurie for the first time, he doesn't recognize him. He thinks his brother has ordered an escort to help him unwind. Laurie doesn't feel like correcting the misunderstanding because he wants it, too. This book is pretty much an insta-love although there are a few obstacles in the way. Also, a cartel member has been seen in NYC and he may be a threat to the friends group. This book has danger, high-style adventure, a ton of passion, and a beautiful forever love.

Worth has a lot of work ahead of him to make up for his goofed-up assumptions of Laurie who has his own set of principles. Each must learn to trust the other. Now that Laurie has left his abhorrent so-called predator boyfriend Tommy, he now has a chance to willingly make decisions for his well-being. As for Worth, people only treated him as an object; never ever caring about him as a person; only as someone with very deep pockets that they could dip their hands into. (A relationship was never a thing Worth considered). He was actually a lonely man. The theme found woven in this book offers salvation for both men. It reflects emotional and physical abuse, absent parents, loyalty between brothers, true commitment between close friends, misunderstandings, cartel revenge, dangerous rescue, but all with a forever HEA.

Wow. I finished this book in one sitting. Laurie has been with someone for years who was not a good person. He was finally able to get out. After finding a place to stay, he called his friend Beck. After telling him what happened, Beck gave him a ticket to go to Aruba but told him his brother Worth would be there as well. Worth is known as the playboy of his friends, but seeing all the happy couples, he wanted that for himself. When he got to Aruba, he saw Laurie sleeping and made assumptions that his brother got him a present. After when Beck called and gave him trouble to stay away from his friend, they decided to be friends and for them to enjoy their time away. This started their relationship with how they both worked out how to get closer and more. Love this world and I am hoping that Beck will get his own story

This was a great conclusion to the series, Worth and Laurie were great characters and so perfect for each other. I could understand Beck’s reluctance at Worth and Laurie getting together with what Laurie had been through and Worth’s party playboy background but Laurie saw through Worth’s facade from the beginning and Worth just wanted to care for Laurie even before he realised it was him. I loved that they started a charity to help people that were in the same situation that Laurie had been in and I’m also happy that Beck wasn’t hurt and the cartel drama was finally dealt with and all the friends got their hea’s. I’m looking forward to the authors new series but I hope Beck gets a story at some stage in the future. Great story and Great series.

Worth and Laurie were explosive, sweet and loving, and also got the chance to discover themselves in their journey to happiness.
It had danger, adrenaline, past hurts, misunderstandings, twists and turns, and a hard earned happiness.
I liked how they clicked together and how they learned about each other, how they get over the obstacles along the way and the friends that helped them along the way.
I liked how love changed them, how they dared to accomplish their dreams, how they decided to take a stand and help others, and how in the end love won.
I was so happy that all four of them found their happiness and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

4.5⭐️
Worth and Laurie are my favorite couple of the series, they had a good balance in their relationship. I liked the mix of spicy chemistry, suspense, and emotional depth. Worth has been sent to Aruba as a kind of playboy intervention. Laurie just escaped an abusive relationship and is also sent to Aruba by friend Miles to recuperate. Miles happens to be Worth’s younger brother. The first meeting was hilarious, a misunderstanding of pretty epic proportions, a bit silly but lots of fun. I loved this one a bunch, the couple is strong, the plot has great twists and turns, the villain gets what’s coming, and it’s a really satisfying ending to this fun series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Worth and Laurie were so sweet together! The chemistry was beyond explosive which I love in Silvia Violet book. This is definitely a case of instalove-lust, they go from 0-1000 instantly. Which I love personally.

My only complaint is that things felt too simple for them. There was no confrontation with Laurie’s ex- which felt like a dangling string until the epilogue, and im not sure how I felt about Laurie falling into a relationship mere days after escaping an abusive ex.

But ultimately Worth is such a simp for Laurie that I was able to overlook those misgivings and just enjoy how sweet and fluffy these two were.

This novel might be my favorite in the 'Billionaires' series. Laurie and Worth were fleshed out well; Worth has been lingering in the background of his friends' romances for a while, so it's about time he has his own man to dote upon. And Laurie tames the playboy in Worth. It takes a while for both of them to realize that neither one is going anywhere and is worthy of each other's love. But once they get there, it's a sweet revelation for both.
My only criticism is that I wish there had been a little more action and suspense, but overall, it's a great read to bring to the beach or on your summer vacation.

Worth has money, power and a great body and has only concentrated on pleasure. Now he wants something else. Then he ends up in bed with his brother's best friend Laurie who he was forbidden to touch. Then danger threatens Laurie and his brother. No matter what Worth has to do, he won’t let them be taken from him.

This was a bit chaotic in places but a good read with some introspection by the characters of their emotions, thoughts and feelings. I liked the solution that Laurie chose to help domestic violence victims. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

My biggest critism of this book, was everyone trying to make Lauries decisions for him. Yes he was just out of a mental, emotional, financal and physically abusive relationship, but only he knew what he needed to heal. Though he knew people were doing this because they cared, it also made him question his own attempt to heal. Worth wanted the companionship his friends had with their relationships. He never forgot Laurie, even when he didnt recognize him on their reconnect.
I loved Laurie and Worth as a couple. To see what they built as a couple and what they wanted to build for the future

This is Worth's story and after just being the playboy and trying to please his mother . His brother talks him into going on vacation.
Laurie is in an abusive relationship and when he walks in on his boyfriend cheating on him, he takes the escape and leaves. He calls his only friend for help and Beck talks him into going on a vacation.
Worth and Laurie, mistaken identity leads to sparks flying. Worth and Laurie are really sweet.
Some angst, falling in love when lest expected and found family.

Finally Worth's story... and it's definitely worth it !
I was looking forward this story and wasn't disappointed : Mrs Violet nailed it !
So take a gorgeous billionaire, with a one night stand only policy; a bunch of friends who have found their other halves and call an intervention ; a protective younger brother and his adorable friend who has a crush for said gorgeous billionaire... Add a toxic mother, an exotic island, low angst (a kidnapping, some a$$-kicking)... you cannot be mistaken here : enjoy !

Great ending

Worth and Laurie were a great way to end the series.
After a misunderstanding of epic proportions Worth has a lot of work to do in order to make up for it.
Sweet Laurie has finally found the courage to leave a dangerous relationship.
Now he's ready to live for himself.
Worth has never really considered a relationship for himself, never really feeling as though anyone actually wanted him for something other than his money.
These two were so steamy and sweet together.
There is, of course, fast paced action, drama and danger that is satisfyingly resolved.

Absolutely loved this—no “mistake” about it. It has some of both insta-love and some slow burn, and there’s lots of shmoopiness and a bit of danger, so overall a perfect story. I love seeing the playboy fall head over heels at the feet of a vulnerable, yet strong, man. And I always, always love to see favorite characters from earlier in this series. When I finished the book, I found myself sad that the series seems complete—but hopeful that maybe there will be a fifth installment or a spinoff series.

Can’t wait to see what’s next!

I have been anticipating Worth’s story, and ultimate fall since the first book. I didn’t expect to love him as much as I did, but the development of his character had me with all the feels! He could be so arrogant, and yet, sweet in the next instant. The chemistry between Worth and Laurie simply leapt from the pages. Such a much deserved HEA for both of them!

As much as I hate to see the series end, this final book placed the neatest of bows on top. Even though I just read the book, the audiobook will be an instant one-click. I am so happy it’s already available!

Great addition to the series!

I loved The Billionaire's Mistake by Silvia Violet. It's the fourth book in the Bad Boy Billionaires series. I loved Worth and Laurie's story. I loved their chemistry and their meet cute in Aruba. I loved how they tried to stay way from each other, for Beck's sake, and couldn't. I loved getting to see Worth's friends again and I'm glad how everything was resolved. I loved the charity that Worth and Laurie made and what happened to Tommy was very fitting.

I read this book using the Kindle unlimited app.

Money. Power. Perfection.
The only thing he can’t have? His little brother’s best friend.
Until Aruba.
Forbidden romance + tropical heat + protective alpha energy when danger hits? Yes please. This one balances indulgent billionaire luxury with real emotional stakes.

Worth and Laurie ( Lawrence ) / Micheal Dean nailed the narration

MM Dark Romance
Morally gray billionaires
High heat + high tension
Protective, possessive MMCs
Danger, secrets, and loyalty
If you love wealthy heroes who are cold to the world but feral for their man… this series is your next binge.

I love the Billionaire friends! I am so happy that Worth is getting his story. He’s always been my favorite. The confirmed playboy who doesn’t take life seriously and will never fall in love. I loved the connection between Worth and Laurie! They may not seem like ideal couple but they spark. However things back home are messy and can they survive in the real world.
Silva Violet has me loving this new couple. I can’t wait for the next book! Thank you!

What a cutie Laurie is. I really felt for him when he found his abusive boyfriend cheating on him. Finally using that excuse to escape. Don’t worry the ex gets dealt with.

Worth has been one of my favorites in this series. He is such a playboy but he meets his match. When worth first came in contact with Laurie there was a big misunderstanding but it worked out in the end.

These two belonged to each other and you felt that from the beginning. So glad worth finally got his happy ending.

Worth and Laurie! These two are great!! I have read about Worth from the start of the series and I was so happy he got his own story. He is a kind soul and needed someone to love, enter Laurie. I loved how they met.... steamy!! Wow!

The heat in the book, the chemistry between the two, the dialog. It had all the feels that I needed for a good read. So pick up the book, sit down and get ready to have some fun!

This Billionaire romance was such a unique surprise! For me as a reader and well for Worth and Laurie too! I loved the way it all started and how it played out. I feel like I do not want to go into much detail because that is all best stuff. It starts as a misunderstanding and develops into the best time out of the real-world relationship. Eventually they both then have to deal with the real world and their real situations. I love this series but these two really were my favorite couple!

I’ve been waiting for Worth’s story and I was not disappointed. Worth is our resident playboy of the group and finally we get to see him lose his heart. Turns out he is very sweet and supportive, and completely enamoured by Laurie. And of course, all of friends are there to help make sure Worth gets his man. This series has been so much fun! Rich dominant men exposing their inner romantic side for their soulmates - this trope wins every time!

Worth was known as the playboy so when a trip away leads to him forming a connection with his brothers best friend Laurie he is surprised to what extent he will go to preserve the relationship they have built.

A story of hilarious first meetings, danger from the cartel, dealing with a horrible ex, finding happiness when you least expect it and falling for your brother’s best friend. This was a fantastic conclusion to this series.
