Stones of Amaria #2

Necromancer Unleashed: Book 2

Rate this book
For three long months, Dawn awaits her fate while rotting in a dungeon. But when a stroke of luck finally springs her free, her punishment is far from over.

Five of the six Stones of Amaria have been activated. Only the onyx remains. Someone is determined to help Ryze return so he can rule Amaria with a crushing fist—but Dawn still doesn’t know who.

Guard the stone, her brother told her.

She vows to do exactly that while hunting down a murderer—or murderers.

While Dawn stalks the halls of Necromancer Academy once again, it becomes painfully clear that no one is as they seem.
But one thing is certain—time is running out to stop Ryze from returning.

Absolutely fabulous. Dawn finally gets out of prison, how she doesn’t know. The danger is in now way over. Totally lost in the story and can’t wait for the next one.

Dawn was miraculously found innocent of her murder attempt, all with help of her intended victim Ramsey. Yet the threat of Ryze coming back is not gone. Trying to solve the mystery around Vickie's death while protecting Seph and guarding the stone might prove a challenge too difficult to pass, especially with the confusion caused by Ramsey's behavior.
The second book in the series is even darker than the first one, exploring the grey area between good and evil - same as Dawn's magic. Darkness level increases in the second book, with black magic being used and violence awaiting at every turn. Mysteries and secrets keep the tension level high, and the complicated relationships among the characters make the story more interesting, the interactions between characters having sometimes unexpected outcomes. I would love to see what happens next.

Book 2 of The Stones of Amaria series and once again I am left in the middle of the action with a to be continued. This author is a master at building worlds and characters that draw you in and leave you traumatized when things go wrong for our heroines. Dawn is finally cleared of the attempted murder she totally planned and the murder she didn't have any part in. Somebody is still coming for the Stones of Amaria to raise the big bad Ryze. Dawn will do anything to protect the ones she loves even believing the boy whose face haunts the nightmares of her brother's murder. Action packed and full of the paranormal, this series is totally addicting. My voluntary, unbiased review is based upon a review copy.

I received an arc and the opinions and views are my own. Even though this book leaves you with another cliffhanger I give it five stars. It starts with Dawn getting out of the dungeon and paired with Ramsey as punishment. There are so many twists and turns that you cannot tell about or it would spoil the book for you. There are surprises too and the bad guys are revealed. I could not put this book down because it kept your attention, a real page turner. It was early morning before I finished. I would recommend this book to all.

Dawn and Ramsey reluctantly team up to solve the many mysteries surrounding necromancer Academy. Five of the six stones have been activated. Only the Onyx remains and the Diabolicals are doing everything they can to keep it safe. The fear of Ryze's return is palpable. Can they stop his return? How many casualties must fall if he finds a way back?

Necromancer Unleased is fast-paced, filled with magic, danger, intrigue and adventure. The characters are well-developed and engaging. I can't wait to see what book 3 brings!

Book 2 is just as good or perhaps even better than the first! After rotting in the dungeon for months, Dawn is finally released for some reason. The murder charges were dropped. Ramsey is helping her. They must work together to stop the Ryze or the world will never be the same. There’s so much mystery and intrigue that I’m e you start, you won’t be able to stop reading this book! (Warning: there is a cliffhanger ending so you’ll need the next book ASAP like me!)

I received an ARC from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Dawn has finally been released from the dungeon with a little help but she still has to find her brothers killer. Sorry guys I’m not going to get too much into this story but I will tell you that it’s a fantastic read but do read book 1 first or you won’t know what’s going on, I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Audiobook review: Interesting continuation in the series. The story picks up where the first one left off. The characters are believable and likable and the storyline is entertaining. The story held my wayward attention. Looking forward to the next book in the series! The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This second book in the series is an absolutely cracking read. Action packed right from the beginning, I literally couldn’t put it down. We were left with a cliffhanger at the end of the last book, the one at the end of this one just leaves you desperate for the next in the series. Well worth the read

This picks up 3 months after book 1. Dawn has been held in the dungeon. Ramsey and Dawn get thrown together more and more. This books totally draws you in from the start and doesn't let go. I really enjoyed watching Dawn and Ramsey together, her learning to trust him. Seph is awesome and I really need to know what comes next!! So many questions and I can't wait to see what happens.

Warning cliffhanger at the end! Wow, I want more! Where should I start. Well, first the storyline and characters are amazing. Love Dawn and Ramsey. There is more danger, suspense and action in this 2nd book. I really do not like cliffhangers but, that is the trill of wanting to read the next book. Amazing work Lindsey! I got a free ARC and this is my honest review.

With the holidays, I fell behind. Holy shot balls!!! Now I'm binge reading to catch up. I do have to say, this part, you honestly don't know who to trust, who is good, who is bad. And a little spoiler, I only know of 1 survivor at this point. What I do know, I need to keep reading and I what to thank these amazing author's for writing this!!!

Necromancer Unleashed. Book 2

I like this Academy series because it differs from so many that I have read. Although it’s hard to root for dark magic users, I am.
