Was soll also ein armes, menschliches Hexer-Halbblut tun? Ein paar Leute platt machen. Was sonst?
G.K. De Rosa has been an avid reader from a very young age. In fact, before she could even read, she tried fooling everyone into thinking that she could. At the precocious age of two, while living in Italy, she had memorized an entire children’s book in Italian and expertly turned the pages at the exact right moments of the story. As she grew up, she always enjoyed literature, no doubt having been instilled with a love of story telling from her early years in Catholic school where she was greatly influenced by exemplary teachers who taught her the value of English and Literature. Though she did not pursue writing in college and instead went for the more traditional route of International Business inspired by her love for travel and all things foreign, after a move to New York City, she found her creative writing side calling once again. She began writing a restaurant review blog, City Lights and Tasty Bites, detailing her other passion – food! The hectic hustle and bustle of the city, combined with long commuting times gave her the opportunity to spend more time reading and rekindled a lost love. After reading countless books in many diverse genres over the two years in New York City, and returning to her home state of Florida, she felt compelled to write something for herself. She had always felt particularly drawn to Young Adult novels and having been an eternal romantic at heart, a fantasy romance was a natural choice. She currently lives in South Florida with her real life Prince Charming and their fur baby, Nico the German Shepherd.
A very easily addicting series, the kind of book I can just turn my brain off and enjoy
The ending was a happy one which I'm always a personal fan of, life is sad enough these days you know?
I did think that the romantic relationship between Drake and Luna could have been fleshed out a little more, but I like that they were mature about everything
I felt the solution to Ryders demon was a little too easy in the end, especially since we didn't even see it happen, not really. I think it would've been so cool to see him unleash the beast only to have Luna bring him back down to a controlled state but no she blacked out, which is a device the author uses a lot to get from one scene to the next. She explains a lot of things retrospectively because Luna had passed out yet again
Anyways, I don't know if I'll read any of the continuing series but I'm not against it, I enjoyed my time with these books so who knows!
I loved this series and am only slightly bummed I hadn’t read Kimmie-Jayne’s series first. I am definitely in the process of rectifying that mistake now and can’t wait to see what happened with her and all the guys! This book was a fantastic conclusion to the series and I love how the ending wasn’t your typical HEA but a look 5 yrs down the road. Definitely a great book!
Luna and team thought life had turned a corner with Luxora in prison and Ryder back from demon rehab. But with Luxora escaped and MIA, the danger is just as bad, or worse. Add to that the Coven Council knows Luna’s little Warlock secret, and it’s doubly worse. Or triple, because with Ryder back, what will happen between her and Drake? Her relationship with the cool Winter Prince has reached a new level, and Luna doesn’t want to torture herself with what she can never have.
Oh goodness, this was a fine finale!
I hadn’t realized just how caught up I was in all the characters, from this series and the ones from Hitched.
So many questions to be answered: Does Luxora get taken down? Wheat about the laws allowing the human realm and supe? And most important of all, does Luna get her HEA with someone?
I cried copious tears with this one, but I can say I’m happy. For Luna, her significant other, and everyone else.
Fantastic series conclusion that absolutely left me wanting more from this world. I'm excited to dive into the next one, even if I'm devouring the stories out of order.
Luna and Ryder were quite delicious together, and even the heartbreaking feels of their breakup kept me hoping for a happily ever after. There were supporting characters that I definitely feel drawn to. Hello Fae Prince!
The world building is massive and marvelous. Who wouldn't want to be swept away into almost any of the realms?
A great ending to my favorite series by this author. Every time I read a book by GK Derosa I feel like it gets better and better. I was so invested in Luna's story and seeing how she would overcome the many obstacles in her life.
The worldbuilding was well thought out, the character development was great, not only with Luna but the growth that both Drake and Ryder experienced as well.
I also love the way GK Derosa made me fall for both of the love interests in Luna's story. (It irritates me when I end up hating a character the MC develops feelings for.) I think I will forever be #teamryder or at least when it comes to Luna. But I want both Ryder and Drake to get their happily ever after.
I was so happy with the way this book ended but also eager to see what the author comes out with next within the world of Azar. I know she is currently working on her next book and heard a rumor there will be another Hitched series! I'm praying the rumors are true, because I am not ready to let go of this world or these characters.
A really good ending to this series! After four books I feel like I know the characters so well that I'm fully engaged in their lifes and their future.
I've been a bit torn between who I want Luna to end up with: Ryder or Drake. I like both characters, but I think I would have been happy with either choice, really.
I love the way Luna has grown stronger with each book, and how her magical powers kept improving. At the same time they're strongest as a group, and it makes me feel happy when I read about how they help and protect each other. I'm definitely gonna miss Luna and her Super Slayer Squad!
I received an ARC from the author and I'm happy to give a review.
I am enjoying this series, I read this book in a day, plenty of teenage angst and a love triangle of sorts. It is resolved really well and I liked how the characters still remained friends and part of the team despite the outcome. What's not to like, sexy supernaturals - a winter prince, hot demon, angel headmaster, warlock father and a vision of death and destruction if Luxora doesn't get her way. A war across the realms and plenty of action scenes, magic and mayhem. The team share a bond and they are stronger together and no one gets left behind.
I had a hard time getting through this final book. I had truly anticipated that this book would somehow fill the gaps and voids that the previous books had left, but I was disappointed that it didn’t. There are loose ends that we have to just brush off and accept that this book got its sweet little happy ending….even though threats and questions are still looming all around.
Overall, this series as a whole was good. I felt like this last book was like reading straight through a random daydream. There were so many parts that could’ve been addressed to make it better, but it was like the daydreamer just let their imagine take off with no control.
I’m way too tired to be writing any form of a review, and I really don’t want to bash this book. I seem to be so hung up on the flaws of this series. I think it’s because this book reminds me of that friend you have and love…the friend who you know has so much potential, but they never push their self to reach that potential! You’re always wishing, hoping, and encouraging but they just keep disappointing. I really did like this series, but it could’ve been so much more.
The story idea is interesting, as the universe and characters, but the writing doesn’t give them life.
The way relationships of any kind are written is shallow and feels fake because instead of feeling them being there were just told “those two characters are in love” or “this guy is a sulky dark character” without actually being written that way or speaking or moving that way.
The magic system and the races would be really nice if well thought out but they never are and it feels like a missed opportunity.
Basically it could be good but the writing isn’t quite there enough to actually carry the story well.
I made myself finish this one but I don’t think I’ll be reading the others.

I received a free copy for an honest review. Even though it didn’t end the way I wanted it to, it was written so wonderfully that I grew to love it. I thought that Luna wasn’t strong enough to be with Ryder’s demon without getting them both injured but I’m glad I was proven wrong. My boy finally got a love he deserves. I’m disappointed in what happened with Drake but I understand why it had to happen. The ending was magnificent! That epilogue makes everything worth it. This is a must-read!
I have loved this series from the very start and am very sad to see it end! A fantastic world built by the author and characters that grew and developed as the amazing storyline continued on, there’s drama, romance, friendship and betrayal and once you start this you will not be able to put it down! A series I would definitely recommend!
Luna is not only fighting demons and Luxora but also her feelings Ryder and Drake. I really wanted to see Luna end up with her own small harem. It has a good ending and I like the idea of could possibly end up with a spin off too. Well done G.K. DeRosa!

I loved the ending of this book. This final installment was more packed than all the others. Suspense, action, romance, camaraderie. It had it all. Thank you for such an amazing journey.
Ryders Mutter, was ich sehr cool fand.
This series initially attracted me because I absolutely loved the Vampire Academy books by Richelle Mead and I wanted to revisit that enjoyment with a new series in the same genre.
I have to say first of all that I definitely enjoyed the books. I LIKED the series, but the thing is: I just didn't LOVE it.
I binged all four books and read them in the span of a few days. There was a lot to love about it: the world the author created, the strong female protagonist, and the various side characters, who were diverse and all had disparate personalities. But ultimately, I just felt that it was lacking something to make it stand out for me.
It mentions that there is a prior series to this that is set in the same world, but it doesn't need to be read before starting this one. I would actually disagree here and say there were many things I felt were not explained in enough detail. I wonder if this is because a lot of the world building was already done in the first series. It also feels like this series is supposed to be a continuation of that series because we meet all of the main characters of that series repeatedly to see what is happening in their lives now.
The romance didn't quite hit me in the right way either, which is a shame, because the blurb really sold it for me. I felt like the romance was initially one-sided on the side of the female lead, but instead of seeing a gradual acceptance and return of that love from the male lead, it was quite sudden on his part. It was strange...kind of like insta love, but you didn't realise it, and then all of a sudden there were allusions to and comments about his forbidden love. Then there were moments of swoon-worthy romance, which were followed by others, where it felt lukewarm. We were constantly swinging back and forth and there were times I felt the romance was backtracking, only to be passionate again.
It's kind of hard to explain more than this, so I guess if you feel you might like this series, then give it a go and make your own opinions about it. To end this review, I'll just say that this was a fun series to read, but didn't quite hit the spot for me and what I went into it expecting, but what I don't like might be something someone else loves, so give it a go!
This final book displays Luna's mental and physical strengths to their full extent. Her grasp of the magic has reached a new height, and with her being the only female warlock, not only Luxora, the dark lord, is relentlessly gunning for her, but the Coven Council also discovers her uniqueness and threatens to bind her power.
I love how Luna's magical powers have steadily increased throughout the series. Despite some of the timelines in her magic learning are not in detail, we get the gist of it. While the concept of the Eight is intriguing, their connections feel weak, and the team's dynamic lacks chemistry.
The sudden resolution of their internal conflict feels unconvincing, lacking a genuine rekindling of relationships. As a result, I don't feel the connection and certainly not feel a wow factor with the rest of the team members.
The series delivers a captivating narrative, allowing readers to reconnect with familiar characters from 'Hitched' while exploring the latest developments in their lives. Notable side characters like Cinder, Scarlett, and Drake add depth and intrigue to the story, and I hope I get to read their story or update in the future.
While I'm disappointed Luna and Drake didn't end up together, which is predictable, I'm still eager to read more about what the Fae realm could offer. So far, love has proven disastrous for the siblings of the Winter Court, Elrian and Drake. Let's hope they'll have better luck in the future, finding genuine love instead of being forced into politically motivated marriages🤞.
SYNOPSIS (of 4 book series): FC is a half human, half warlock hybrid. She only discovers this when her step sister (who she didn’t know) finds her in a foster home. She is then taken to a supernatural academy to learn to control her powers. Whilst there she falls for a half demon instructor and becomes a member of an elite group of supernaturals trained to protect humans from attacks by the underworld. It turns out that the FC is being hunted by a dark lord of the underworld due to a prophecy. The series includes a lot of action with fights and the individuals within the team. There is some angst when the FC & MC hit a problem and split up and there is an additional love interest introduced. Ultimately there is a HEA following a big fight climax.
If you have read some of this author’s other books then this follows a similar format with the FC being uber powerful (but not knowing it initially) and there being some insurmountable (but not) issue with the FC and MC being together. There’s a lot of action and drama so the story keeps moving along. It’s an enjoyable if predicable read and well enough written. I found the FC a bit too whiny when her relationship with the MC hit a roadblock and the insta love at the beginning was just too fast with no real lead in to the two falling for each other. Other than that its a fun read but not particularly original.
OMG... I absolutely loved ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ this series it was on fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥 - I am so glad that I found it in my kindle unlimited.... I was reading another book( I guess I couldn’t get into the book as much as I would of liked, but when I saw this... I was like let me start it, boy, I started readings this series on Monday and finished at 5 am.... was way to tired to do the review at that time.
I was so thrilled that I did find this book...This book was a page turner, action packed, romance, suspense and intrigue. I was so happy with the storyline and the ending.... I hope we hear more about Luna and Ryder I’m future books...
My next series will be The Guardian Series.... I loved this series, the authors writing, and so much more..
I definitely recommend this series and anything else written by G. K. DeRosa!! You will NOT be disappointed!!!
Don't get me wrong - I loved the first Hitched series, though there was a lack of character development for KJ.
This series honestly just came across as a watered down version of all fantasy YA tropes. The over protective boyfriends, the heroine upset because she can take care of herself, mates, princes putting their duty over love, blah blah blah. Even all the names are reminiscent of names from other YA series.
There was so much potential from the first book and Luna's backstory but honestly I'm thoroughly disappointed. A whiny girl whose main focus is her love interest and stays in bed when she doesn't get what she wants? New Moon anyone?? Honestly I almost didn't finish the book and I kind of wish I didn't - the end fight scene was anticlimactic and all the happy endings with marriages and babies was boring and predictable.
This series was amazing! You definitely have to be cautious when trying out cheap Kindle books. There are many, many duds. I was so thrilled to find a gem! I saw an ad for this series on FB, and while I normally strive to ignore them (due to my history of falling prey to many duds) but this one caught my eye. The ad described the series as similar to Vampire Academy, which I adore. I'm so glad I tried it! The series is very well written, and it was easy to fall in the shoes of Luna. The world building is superb, side characters well-developed, and romantic interests attractive (I Love Luna and Ryder!). Whilst I can say it has elements similar to Vampire Academy, it's also a series unique to itself. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go read DeRosa's other series.
That ending was absolutely perfect! I dont even know what to say without giving too much away. Let's see a battle goes down with Luxora. As much as it pained me the fae Prince and Luna dont end up together. I say this tid bit because im sure everyone guessed at this point. But I really came to like him and Luna a lot so I was pretty bummed he didn't get a HEA. Luna is discovered by the covenant council which presents its own problems. This series has been incredible. I fell for all the characters and glad most ended in HEA. I can't wait to read the spin offs!
>Book Review – Prophecies >I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th and final in the Darkblood Academy series and ends in an HEA. Luna tries to move on after Ryder. She begins to date Drake. Drake begins to show some rare feelings, but the fact is he is engaged to be married. Once Ryder returns, he is suddenly able to control his dark side. The solution to his demon issue seemed a bit too easy. >The fight with Luxora dragged on a bit, but the HEA was awesome. This book is appropriate for a new adult (17+) audience. I am giving this book 4 stars.
What a fantastic series. Kept this mature reader entertained. Enough thrills and spills to keep you hooked. I devoured this series in a couple of days. Humans, Dragons, Demons, Vampires, Fae, Shifters, Witches and Warlocks, Sirens, Angels...basically an entire world of supernatural to fall in love with. There's action, romance, thrills and spills. There's angst, grief, love, jealousy a whole gamut of emotions to deal with.
Fans of The Morganville Vampires, House of Night, Vampire Academy and Zodiac Academy will love it.
