Ex navigator - she had me at 'mapping.' This is the interior version of the Hubble telescope. I suspect a hundred years from now genetics will have made our current medicine look like medieval med looks to us now. I can see why people might consider this tedious, but so is parts of map making. Think about life before GPS. Led me to read Mukherjee's The Gene.
