You can’t say anything bad about any of Thibaut Meurisse’s books. They’re all easy to read and easy to apply. This book wasn’t an exception.
It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it is a good summary of the subject of making good decisions. If you’re looking for something more in-depth, read “clear thinking,” but if you just want a short summary about making decisions, read this book.
“To make better decisions, change your story by reinterpreting your experiences. In other words, reframe your past so that it serves you rather than works against you.” This is just one of the many tips Thibaut Meurisse provides in his latest book – “Master Your Decisions: A Practical Guide to Make Better Decisions Faster and Stack the Odds in Your Favor.” I’ve experienced many difficult moments making good decisions my entire adult life, going back and forth, either choosing a course of action too quickly, or dragging out the process so long that the path I finally did choose had become irrelevant. Do I need help with making decisions that can best serve me? Only if I intend to lose the crippling stagnation that prevents me from moving forward.
So I was quite pleased to learn of this new book, obtain it, and then slowly read it, savoring its many observations and nuggets of wisdom. I noted the passages that spoke to me and worked the exercises Thibaut provides at the end of each chapter. The exercises help you with applying new information to your own decision-making process. Writing down your answers implants his techniques and suggestions in your mind. Thus, you begin taking this just-gained knowledge and actually acting on it. It is in this way that you begin to change your life for the better.
Thibaut Meurisse is driven by the need to continually work at “becoming the best version” of himself, and is committed to “mastering the art of personal development.” He’s written many books exploring various aspects of making your life the best it can be. I’ve read many of them, and believe that the information I’ve absorbed through working his exercises and making que cards with inspirational quotes that I knew would drive me to do better. What a reward I feel when I find myself acting in new ways that I know are driving me toward my goals.
I heartily recommend this and Thibaut’s other books to anyone who seeks to make the best version of themselves.
