Something's Fishy

Rate this book
Five young friends (two girls and three boys) live on Jackpine Point on the shore of the Big Lake and have funny but thought-provoking adventures. In this second of the Jackpine Point Adventures series, narrator David Malloy can't wait for the big canoe fishing trip. His friends who live on the Point feel the same way. But what could be worse than finding out the most obnoxious and annoying person at Bell Harbor Middle School is coming along? What could be worse happens on the second day of the trip, when Most Obnoxious and Annoying Person disappears. The five Pointers reluctantly go on a search party. The problems they meet include bugs, rain, cold, a cedar swamp, a strange cabin, weird laughter, a compass nobody knows how to use, and a canoe that unties itself from the dock. David has been meaning to work on his perseverance, but couldn't perseverance be a little easier?

Another charming adventure with the Jackpine Pointers, expertly crafted by Sandy Larsen. As usual, she sweeps you into the story and keeps you smiling and immersed the entire time. I love these books so much.
