Soul mates born centuries apart. A portal awakens to unite them. Jaye Ramsey vacations in Bolivia with her friends to prove to her eccentric grandmother that time travel isn’t real. Then she stumbles upon a vortex in the Salar de Uyuni and winds up in Hawksatter, England, 1735—the same town her grandmother had supposedly vanished from as a young woman. Accused of murdering his bride on their wedding day a decade earlier, Lord Lucas Kenway closed the family farm and shut out the world. He never expected the strange, secretive woman he found sleeping on his doorstep to turn his quiet life upside down—or slip into his bed. After Jaye discovers a way back to her own time, she’s left with an impossible choice—stay in the past and never see her beloved grandparents again, or return home and lose the only man she’s ever loved.
– Book 1 in the steamy Ramseys in Time series. – Second Edition. Newly revised and edited.

This is an enchanting time-travel story with delightful characters, witty dialog, and a plot that kept the pages turning. It was previously published as part of a group series, but has been revamped, enhanced, and re-edited.
This book focuses on Jaye Ramsey, a 28-year-old, single librarian from Seattle, who has traveled to Bolivia with her four friends to Salar de Uyuni before the wedding of Emma Miller. Jaye's grandmother, Leonora begged her not to go after telling her all her life about how she had traveled forward in time from 1725 to 1960 in Bolivia. Now, in 2015 Jaye is thrown back to the eighteenth century, Hawksatter, England, in the year 1735,
She is found by Lord Lucas Kenway, a gruff and bitter man who avoids town and townspeople. How can Jaye survive in the eighteenth century and what about her four friends? She has been searching for Emma and Maggie. She is approached by Amaru, who gives her a silver mirror that she can communicate with her friends and tells her that she has a limited amount of time to decide if she wishes to stay or return to her old life. She has strong feelings for Lucas, but does he feel the same for her?
This is a really solid bodice-ripper, with the added fun of time travel. And even better, the time travel involves multiple generations of the same family. Daulton does really well writing all the fish-out-of-water aspects of time travel, as well as giving us smokey, spicey romance.
I love a good time-travel romance and Timeless Honor did not disappoint! I enjoyed how Jaye disbelieved her grandmother’s story of time-travel and how she discovered for herself that she wasn’t just a batty old woman.
There were several twists I didn’t expect in the story, the mirror and her ability to know that her friends and travel companions were off on adventures of their own was one. I thought the twist of Jaye falling for her grandmother’s husband, Lucas, who she ran away from when she time traveled was really clever as well.
Amber does a beautiful job with her descriptions of 18th century life and the dialogue was fabulous. The suspense of whether or not Jaye would choose love and the 18th century or a return to her own time kept me turning the pages.
I’ll definitely be picking up the rest of this series.
If the perils of time traveling, the grandeur of historical fiction, and the twists and turns of ‘Twin Peaks’ were ever to get together I feel like this may be it. Very well written and with the juicy bits left in, this time traveling romance is as entertaining as it is saucy and is sure to be a hit among fans of the genre!
Time travelling romance isn’t my usual go to genre, but pushing myself to read something different. And I’m glad I did…..
Jaye has grown up with hearing how her grandmother travelled through time. It was put down to an old woman’s flights of fancy. No one really believed the old woman, and to prove her grandmother daydreamed the whole thing, Jaye goes to the town in Bolivia. But the last laugh is on the grandmother’s daughter….. Waking up in a cave, Jaye needs to have her wits about her.
Lucas was accused of murdering his wife on their wedding night…. Closing the family home, he vows no one will ever get close to his heart again!!
300 years in the past, we find Jaye finally believing her grandma’s tales! They were true, but how can she get back to her own time? Does she really want to be stuck here?
Reading the blurb I did get a little confused! Is Jaye a reincarnation of her grandma? How does this time travel work? But carry on reading and everything becomes clear. It’s a short story so bear in mind that the couple don’t have a lot of pages to fall in love!
Can they really overcome all the obstacles that are thrown in their way? Will Lucas open his heart and believe his lost life has come back? Can Jaye make a life for herself in the past? And if she does, then she’ll never see her family again!
As I said, it’s a short story. But it’s packed full of emotions and events. Really well written and thought out. Apparently it was from an anthology, so it’s be rewritten a little, and there is another story (think it’s her grandmother’s story, but I’m not 100% sure)
I’d recommend this if you’re a lover of time travelling romance. A quick, fun romance that packs a lifetime in.
Timeless Honor is a delightful time-travel romance featuring a young woman, Jaye, as she travels through Bolivia with her good friends. She remembers her grandmother's warning, telling her not to go off by herself, especially in Bolivia, because she doesn't know the terrain and might get lost. Jaye's grandmother has filled her with stories of time-travel and how she came from Hawksatter, England. She told her that she had been married for a short time before she time skipped into the future. Not heeding her grandmother's warning, she is caught up in a whirlwind and wakes up in a cave, but she doesn't know where and, as she'll soon find out, when. Hawksatter, English, 1735. The twist is so perfectly structured as to have Jaye almost literally follow in her grandmother's footsteps, in reverse. When she wakes up, there's a beautiful man who has come to her rescue and what she's going to find out is he's the perfect fantasy come to life! I was really impressed how Jaye was able to get Lucas to believe her time-traveling story, and the realization that, in a sense, they have known each other in the past! This is a unique and enjoyable story. It's written with multi-layered and believable characters, a plot that has both romance and suspense and with a steady pace from the beginning to the end. Dwight Kuhlman does an admirable job with the narration. His dynamic voice gave each character attitude and unique personality.
TIMELESS HONOR was so good I couldn’t put it down! This time travel romance has a fun twist—when Jaye travels back to 1735 via a portal while on vacation in Bolivia, she winds up on the doorstep of Lucas, the man her grandmother (who is originally from that time) was briefly married to before fleeing through a portal of her own and coming through to the present day. Lucas has lived with the whole town thinking he killed Jaye’s grandmother, never realizing that she has lived a long and happy life in the future. Jaye arrives in 1735, and can’t exactly reveal this, or the reason for her modern day clothes, and she needs his help until she can figure out how to find that portal and get home.
I LOVED this. Jaye didn’t back down, being a modern day woman, and Lucas was a delight as a hero. I liked their chemistry, and I liked the humorous scenes as he took in her wardrobe, and she tried to figure out why her cell phone wouldn’t get a signal and why her rescuer was so very in to cosplay. This had wonderful setting details and I felt like I was really there! Jaye and Lucas of course have wonderful chemistry, but will they be able to overcome the walls standing in their way and figure out how to be together before time runs out? Loved this! 5/5 stars.
Disclaimer: I received a complimentary ARC copy of this book from the author for review purposes.
This was a well-written and well-paced romance about a young woman named Jaye who travels through time from the present back to the 1700s. There, she meets a man, Lucas, who, it turns out, was her grandmother's husband from an arranged marriage. (The marriage only lasted a couple of hours as her grandmother ran away from it, stumbled through a cave, and found herself in the 1960s.) Now Jaye finds herself with him, and falling in love with him. How will this relationship end? Will she go back home and leave Lucas with a broken heart, and herself, too, or will she stay in the 18th century? This is the first book in the series, and I can imagine that the other books will follow her grandmother's trip through time, and also Jaye's friends, I suspect. As they all basically disappeared at the same time, and the entity in charge of the whole thing told Jaye that her friends are on journeys of their own. Gosh, I'm glad I'm not the poor tour guide who's going to have to explain that to the authorities. Other than a very few typos, and a couple of wrong words trudged, when it should have been dredged, for example, the book was well-done. The book is not appropriate for youngsters, since there are several on-screen love scenes that parents wouldn't want their littles to see.
This is a romance story that seamlessly blends time travel with the concept of fated soulmates. Jaye and Lucas are beautifully crafted characters: full of life, depth, and warmth who immediately draw you in. Their chemistry is undeniable from the moment they meet, with a sweet spark that naturally blossoms into something profound and enduring. Spanning through generations, the story resolves misunderstandings and unanswered questions from centuries past in a way that is both satisfying and emotionally resonant. I especially loved how Jaye’s knowledge of her grandmother’s story allowed her to navigate time travel with purpose and confidence, rather than reacting at random. This made her journey feel intentional and deeply connected to romance. The supporting characters add richness without overshadowing the central love story, while vivid, immersive descriptions make you feel as if you’re right there whether in the present day or across the reaches of time. I think this is a beautiful tale of love and fate. A must-read for anyone who believes love can truly transcend time.
A classic accidental time-travel-turned-romance story with an intriguing circular plot spanning several generations: a grandmother travels from the past to the present and stays, while her granddaughter later journeys back in time. To complicate matters further, Jaye falls for the very man her grandmother had been forced to marry – though she famously fled on their wedding night.
The main characters feel somewhat clichéd: she insists on imposing modern morals at every turn, while he comes across as a little too modern for his own era. By contrast, the secondary characters – Burton, Rupert, and especially Mrs. Clemens – bring real charm to the novel. Grounded firmly in their timeline, they offer a vivid window into early 18th-century England. The author’s extensive historical research is evident. Adding another layer is the enigmatic shaman Amaru, the central conspirator behind the time travel adventure.
The ending is a bit of a conundrum: will Jaye remain in the past with the man she loves, or return to the life she left behind?
This is an awesome author and her book is awesome also! It's a romantic time travel book with great characters and such vivid deceptions you feel as if you are there with in the story. The story, plot and character building are off the charts. Lucas ad Jaye a hot and steamy romantic couple who meet in 1725 after Jaye is thrown back in time from 2015 while on a trip with her four friends to Bolivia. I won't give away any plot other than to say that while Jaye is having her time travel adventure are her friends to? What happened to them. Will Lucas and Jaye get their HEA? It's a quick entertaining read with charming characters and a interesting plot with hot and steamy. It's a definite must read and I would like to see more in this series.

I really wanted to read this book because I am already a huge fan of this author's more contemporary work, and in many ways, Timelss Honor works well as a historical time travel romance. The story is solid, if confusing at various points - which does get explained later on. The characters are likeable, not quite the lovable which I'm used to from this author. While I enjoyed the book, I didn't LOVE it because of some really odd phrasing which pulled me out of the story, probably because I read a lot of historical novels and non fiction, so I'm quite picky. As you would expect though, the steam is absolutely spot on. Worth a few hours of reading, but not, I'm afraid, as good as Daulton's later works.
Redemption is what he finds when Jaye shows up in his life. Redemption from a life of seclusion due to closed minds and suspicion. He lives a life unfulfilled until he finds her. She is everything he never knew he needed and that may be his downfall. She knows exactly what happened to her due to her connection although she never thought it was real. Now she has to figure out if it's what she wants. Loved these characters and the trials and growth they both experience. Both having to battle their past and make hard choices. It's a great read and of course I wanted more. That's one of the reasons I return to this author because of gems like this.
I have not reviewed a Time Travel Romance story before, so was very intrigued to see how a story combining these two genres would work. As it turned out, I was impressed.
Jaye has a grandmother who has time travelled back to the 18th century and who married someone from the past. And one day, Jaye ends up doing just that - meeting the handsome Lucas Kenway, the Baron Hawksatter whom she is attracted to and falls in love with. But Lucas has a tragic history, and is shunned by the local townsfolk for a crime he committed...
Very well written, and plenty of description about the life and customs of 18th century England - which is a complete world away from what Jaye is used to.
Timeless Honor is the third book in the Mirrors of Time series. This story is intertwined with the first novella, Timeless Beginnings, as Jaye does not believe in the time travel tales that her grandmother Leonora told her. The characters in this story are well developed and likable and the storyline is excellent, with drama, suspense, and romance. Will Jaye return to the future with or without Lucas?

Jaye goes back in time to ten years after her grandmother went to the future. Not only that, she fell in love with the same man her grandmother married and left before they consummated their marriage. Everyone thought Lucas had killed his wife. Now Jaye was there, but could he love her after all he’d been through? Would she go back to her time? Great continuation from the first book.

I love the time travel genre, I feel like its such a versatile one, and Timeless Honor definitely takes it in an interesting direction. The concept of it, an accidental time travel leading to unexpected love and then the choice between the past and the future, reminded me a bit of the show Outlander. I liked the attention to detail when it came to the dialects of the characters, and the prose was fun and easy to follow along with. I enjoyed the read!
Book three in the Mirrors of Time series a short well written story. Jaye Ramsey time travels back to Hawksatter, England, 1735 where she meets Lord Lucas Kenway who takes her in. I enjoyed reading their story and finding out how they get their happy ending. I will be looking for more in this series. Wow ! I want a portal of my own , the author writes about true love couples that span decades to find their one and only . THhis story is all the more special because of the former relationship of the character band her Grandma with the man of her dreams.

Magical! This Historical Time Travel story is a book I will remember! Jaye Ramsey is pulled into the past and meets Lucas Kenway. Family truths are shared and drama unfolds! I really enjoyed this story! I was intrigued from the very beginning and loved every moment. I am looking forward to more with this series!
This was yet another quick, entertaining time travel adventure by Amber Daulton with charming characters, great dialogue, yummy steam, and an interesting plot.

This was adorable. I’m not familiar with this series at all, but I fell in love with this. The characters are endearing, and their story is wonderfully layered.

I read this cause it has a good general base but then miscommunication fucks them both head first in the ass until the finally admit what the frick we been knew
What an interesting time travel romance! I really liked the whole backstory of Lucas and the unique way Jaye arrived in his time. Blended cultures, different roles and societal expectations made for some interesting situations. With past and present elements in the mix, it was nice to see many details addressed in the end.
This novella is my first introduction to the Mirrors of Time series. I loved this story! I was captivated by the character of Jaye Ramsey immediately and then to learn she is a librarian with a love of English history and I was ready to cheer! What sheer elation to have a librarian portrayed as such a strong, confident, woman! Kudos for the delight of this character portrayal to Amber Daulton!
As I share my joy in reading this novella, I’d also like to preface these comments by saying that I’m generally not a reader of time travel or fantasy stories so I have little awareness in the way of comparison. That said, I also loved the time travel element to this story. I was captivated and immersed with Jaye’s “travel” through time. My reviews do not include spoilers so I won’t become more specific but the time travel didn’t feel fabricated. As a reader, I went with her on the journey and the experience was wonderful. The story stirred my imagination and I found the reading to be enchanting and fun.
I must add one further comment that I have noticed in reading multiple titles by Amber Daulton. I would like to share that reading the descriptions from the story settings to the character descriptions to different situations or events is one of the exquisite joys of reading stories by this author. The highlight of my comment is that the descriptions are her natural style of writing so it is not that the author has merely added a collection of adjectives to elongate the sentences. I would instead share that every word and each sentence brings meaning to the story so that the story settings become richer, the character descriptions become more vivid, while still allowing the situations and events to flow seamlessly. The descriptions capture each of the reader’s senses giving the purest delight of one’s own vibrant imagination as he/she reads the story. Here are a few of my favorites from this story...
“…his dark hair reached his shoulders and curled around his face like a wild mane.”
“He straightened to his full height of six feet, pushed opened the heavy inn door and led her inside the spacious building.”
“A chaotic mess of brambles, creeper vines and herbaceous shrubs blocked the narrow path into the garden after several feet, but colorful daises, violets and wildflowers still thrived in the dense thicket. Wild hydrangea bushes and ferns surrounded a dilapidated gazebo yards away, stink trees brushed against a boarded-up barn in a nearby pasture and fields that once provided food now nursed weeds.”
“His legs almost gave out as he reached level ground but the blood in his veins pumped like a furious river and he hurried down the winding, lighted path.”
Mirror, mirror in my hand! This different time travel was really interesting. The area that Leonora travel too is rather unknown to me so that was fun. Then my home town is Spokane so that added even more interest in the story for me. This is very well-written some great dialogue making it an enchanting time-travel. The only real question is what is Jayne going to do? I highly recommend the book I loved it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Being an avid reader and appreciating history, if you found yourself thrown backwards in time several hundred years, would you consider remaining there? Would you do it for true love?
Jaye's grandmother, Leonora, always told tales of coming forward in time from 18th century England and the area of Gurrudale Forest. Everyone just believed she had a very active imagination. When Jaye and four female friends from Spokane, Washington, USA decided to take an adventure vacation to Bolivia before one of them (Emma) became a married woman, Leonora knew something stronger was pulling them to their destination.
Two of the friends, Emma and Maggie, go missing, so Jaye and the others split up to search for them. As she is crossing the salt flats, Jaye sees a mysterious swirling vortex. She is pulled in and finds herself deposited in a dark cave. She has no idea where she is. She should have been wondering WHEN she was.
Looking for help and answers, Jaye wanders through a forest and stumbles upon a hunting lodge. She finds much more than shelter. She finds a connection to her grandmother and realizes those “tall tales” were not false! Is Jaye in danger? Will she be accepted with her strange ways, language and ideas? How can she possibly find her way home?
A wonderful adventure in time travel and historical romance. Will the people of her grandmother's time believe Jaye is from the future? Can Jaye help explain how Leonora disappeared years before? Will Jaye succumb to her feelings for her Grandmother's arranged husband? Can she help him become accepted by his people? Will Jaye find her way back to the portal in time to return to her real life? Does she want to?
I really loved this story and I hope we get to read about the destinations of the other girls who went missing in time. I am grateful for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this exciting adventure.
Timeless Honor is one of Amber Daulton’s strongest narratives. It is a romantic adventure with time travel as its central convention. Now, time travel may be a clichéd plot device these days and in order for it to work, a writer really has to bring a strong story to the table. Mrs. Daulton succeeds at this wonderfully. This work is the third book in a series of time travel stories and is the strongest story in that series by far, in my opinion. What makes the story so fresh is the characterization, pacing and the sense of drama and pathos that Mrs. Daulton always brings to her stories and characters.
This particular story concerns Jaye Ramsey, the quintessential young, modern woman who is lucky enough to go on vacation with a group of her pals to Bolivia, the same place where her hip old grandmother found love many years ago. But when she suddenly finds herself in England in 1735 she takes refuge in a hunting lodge. She becomes a woman lost in time and only Lord Lucas Kenway can save her. He is a wealthy recluse who has shut down his family farm after being accused of murdering his wife a decade earlier. As a result he is a mysterious man who refuses to open up to anyone including Jaye. This makes him the perfect type of character for this type of story as he comes across as brooding and sexy. As the plot unfolds, the couple begins to understand each other and they melt each other’s hearts. Once they fall in love, Jaye has to decide if she is going to stay with Lucas or return to her own time. The plot is a very interesting one. The characters are identifiable, functioning as archetypes and the story is extremely well paced. Amber Daulton really knows how to write these kinds of stories. Highly recommended!
Just like buses, you've been waiting a while for a historical romance set in the 18th century and then two come along at once! I had the pleasure of reading Etched in Stone, and now Timeless Honor and although the premise is similar, the books are very different.
I am a big fan of Amber's writing, having read many of her Arresting Onyx series and in Timeless Honor, Amber doesn't disappoint. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to craft dialogue and her characters are always well rounded, especially her heroines. I've said before, one of my favourite characters has been Belle, such a feisty woman, and Jaye, the heroine of this story is reminiscent of her. Full of life, stubborn, determined etc. However, Ms. Daulton's writing in this book is a step up due to her descriptions of the world, something new to Amber's books. With Arresting Onyx being set in the modern world, description isn't really necessary, we all know what the modern world is like after all. In Timeless Honor, description is needed. We need to get a feel for the world, the clothing, the houses, the towns etc, and Amber is masterful bringing 18th century living to life. I for one, like description when you're dealing with a world so different from your own, it makes the scene more colourful, and the world real, rather than the white box syndrome that can occur when the writer doesn't describe anything, however, I've also seen reviews when people complain about the world being described, so if that's you, then this book possibly isn't for you.
I recommend Timeless Honor to anyone who's a lover of a good historical romance in the vein of Outlander. To finish, a note to the author, write more of these novels following Jaye and Lucas, this world and time period has so much potential.
TIMELESS HONOR IS BOOK #3 IN THE MIRRORS OF TIME SERIES, A TIME TRAVEL SERIES. I HAVE ENJOYED EACH BOOK IN THIS SERIES TIMELESS HONOR WAS NO EXCEPTION. BOOK 3 FOCUSES ON JAYE RAMSEY, WHOSE CHARACTER I REALLY ENJOYED. SHE TIME TRAVELS BACK TO HAWKSATTER, ENGLAND, 1735 WHERE SHE MEETS LORD LUCAS KENWAY. LORD LUCAS KENWAY HAS NEVER GOTTEN OVER LOSING HIS WIFE AND HAS BEEN ACCUSED OF MURDERING HER. FROM THE FIRST MOMENT LUCAS AND JAYE LAY EYES ON EACH OTHER, THERE IS INSTANT CHEMISTRY. I ENJOYED THE CONSTANT WIT AND BANTERING BETWEEN BOTH JAYE AND LUCAS. JAYE WAS A VERY STRONG CHARACTER AND STOOD UP FOR LUCAS AND PURSUED WHAT SHE WANTED. I THINK JAYE AND LUCAS WERE BOTH VERY GOOD FOR EACH OTHER. THEY BROUGHT OUT THE BEST IN EACH OTHER. JAYE HELPED LUCAS OPEN UP AND LIVE AGAIN. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN JAYE HAS A CHANCE TO STAY OR GO BACK HOME? WILL SHE STAY OR WILL SHE LEAVE KNOWING HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT LUCAS?
I REALLY LOVED TIMELESS HONOR IT IS AN ADVENTURE IN THE PAST WITH ROMANCE. ALL THE CHARACTERS WERE WELL WRITTEN AND HAD LOTS OF CHEMISTRY. JAYE AND LUCAS WERE DEFINITELY SOULMATES. I LOVED THE STORYLINE. I REALLY ENJOY AMBER DAULTON'S STYLE OF WRITING. SHE KNOWS HOW TO PULL YOU INTO THE STORY AND HOLD YOU UNTIL THE VERY END. THE STORY JUST FLOWS AND YOU FIND YOURSELF LOST IN THE BOOK. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE BOOKS BY AMBER DAULTON. SHE IS AN EXCELLENT WRITER. I LOVE HER CHARACTERS AND STORYLINES.
