Viking Chieftain Arne has sentenced his daughter Thira to death. A dark presence has entered the lives of the villagers of Horvaberg and mistakenly Thira has been accused of witchcraft.
The conspiring forces of Groathilde wife to Arne and Fugar the Seer are at work to their own ends, using fear and manipulation as their tools they seek to each have rule over Horvaberg, but there are those although loyal to Arne who believe Thira’s punishment is far too great and attempt to save her.

Written in what somepeople believe to be how Vikings actually spoke, this tale is about a woman coming of age. She has a few problems to be sure. Her father, the Chief, wants her dead. Her stepmother wants her dead and of course there is the obigatory seer, or magic man, that wants her dead. but she has alot of friends. In the end, the good guys win. It's a good read.
